This restaurant was top notch. It had been recommended to us by friends, but we were warned it is a little on the expensive side, so we had waited for a special occasion to treat ourselves. The minute you walk out of the lift door you are greeted by smiling faces through the glass door ahead, you are immediately taken to your seat and you coat is taken for you. It may have been slightly on the dearer side, but only because we'd often go places that have set menus or early birds, but overall it wasn't too expensive, €80 for 2 course meal each and a bottle of wine, i thought that was reasonable, and the food was absolutely fab. Definitely the nicest chinese food I have ever had. Lately I'v been finding that chicken served in Chinese restaurants to be not so good, watered down etc, but this was perfect and the sauces were mmmmm, I had schezuan and my husband had a thai red curry, yum is all I can say. And my salt and chilli chicken starter was divine. I didn't leave a scrap on the plate. They don't use MSG's so you know what you are eating is all natural. The restaurant itself was lovely, very modern and comfortable. The service was exceptional and we had no problem leaving a generous tip. Definite value for money as it was so delicious. Will be going back soon. A++++ And the great part was being able to book my table here through menupages, so glad I came accross this site.

Alex Restaurant
Conrad Hotel, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went there on Saturday evening. Had received a voucher for the hotel for a meal to the value of €80. Both myself and husband got the steak, i got fillet steak and I am very fussy about how my steak is cooked but it was cooked to perfection, so tender and lean. Wine was very nice too. Probably a little on the expensive side, we only ordered main courses and this brought the bill to almost €80. The waitress was lovely, because we were going to have to wait a while for our steaks to be cooked she gave us a small bowl of soup complimentary so we wouldn't be left just sitting waiting for the main course to come. They were very professional.

Cinnamon Garden Restaurant
Main Street, Ashbourne, Above Molly's Pub, Ashbourne, Meath

There last night with friends. We had the menu pages deal that we purchased a few weeks ago which was 3 courses for 2 people for €39.95. Starter and main course were from al la carte and there was a choice of 2 deserts so was a great selection over all. Food was delish as always. Lovely atmosphere and comfy, love all the little tea lights around the room really adds a lovely atmosphere. Would go back no probs.

Mix Asian Fusion Restaurant
Unit 7, First Floor, Corballis Shopping Centre, Ratoath, Meath

I used to come here a lot as I live locally and it was handy. But the last few times I was there each visit got worse. The last time we were there we had gone with our two children. We got them nuggets and chips, which i suppose I cant complain too much about as it was just nuggets and chips and I didn't actually taste it myself. I ordered chicken masaman and asked for it without lemongrass, but there was still lemongrass in it and I hate lemongrass, and the chicken was really bad it was rubbery and I actually had to just take all chicken pieces out of it and put to one side and just eat the sauce with rice. My husband had ordered the chicken curry and the curry and rice was very nice but again the chicken was really horrible so he didn't eat it either. So when the waitress came to take plates away, whom might I add was not the friendliest person and never is when we've gone before, but she noticed all the chicken on the 2 plates and asked was everything ok which we replied "no the chicken was not nice at all", she just nodded her head and took the plates away. Also as our kids are 3 and 1, giving them juice in a glass cup was odd, considering it gets a lot of families I would have thought they'd have some plastic cups. Other than the food and service, the actual restaurant is nicely decorated and funky chairs and tables etc, but I wont be going back!
