Alvito's Restaurant
Captains View, Captains Hill, Leixlip, Kildare

It was a well run, well informed, well staffed restaurant. It was however average. Yes everything was cooked well, It was nice to sit on a table only for 2 in front of where the Chefs were cooking. But it had nothing special. When I go into an Italian I like to be wowed with a different dish on the menu. Something really authentic or the different oils and condiments or a bread basket first. Just something extra. Yeah so....It's lovely for a meal out with your brother or sister or even the parents. But Date night. No thanks

Eddie Rockets (Blackrock)
Main Street, Blackrock, Blackrock, Dublin

When you have some time on a fridayday lunchtime, more can you ask for? It's cheap...it's cooked well...the staff are super friendly and you get to sit in big seats with a great sounding atmosphere around. I had the veggie burger of course and some garlic mushrooms with sweet chilli dip. No ask was too much and it was served piping hot with a bit fat smile. GREAT

An Poitin Stil
Naas Road, Rathcoole, Dublin

Ah You cant really fault this place at all!!. As a vegan there is plenty to go around. My partner LOVES the carvery here and we come every sunday. My wee lad is starting to like it too and we always get a small bowl for him which we don't get charged for. That's nice. And being called honeybunch by the head chef just makes my day!! Thanks Chef Honeybunch x

The Dandelion Restaurant
1st floor, Unit 4, Main Street , Swords, Swords, Dublin

Absolute DISGRACE and shambles this place. I came here about 2 years ago and remembered the pasta with salmon being an absolute delight. The staff were reasonably lovely and attentive and genuine..Mushrooms starter...was soggy undercooked...The salad was droppy and looked rather sorry for itself. Same goes for the fries the vegetables and the onion rings. No sorry it was a complete disaster from start to finish. Shame people cant see that their unattentive nature was the cause. If they had bothered to ask us was our meal ok we would have been able to salvage the early evening and a better review would have been the revert.

Where do I go when I want to have a wonderful light lunch with the girls? Reeds... Where do I go if I want peace and quiet from the baby on a gorgeous summery evening? Reeds... Where do I go if I simply cant be bothered to cook and its around the corner and I know where fresh produce is prepared very carefully? Reeds. I have nothing to fault about Reeds. It's fabulous, the place looks and feels airy and light and fresh. The staff are brilliantly prepared and well rehearsed in their menu knowledge. The daily specials are always a nice treat and they are incredibly accommodating o a Vegan... Perfect Place. x

JD's Steakhouse
4 Rathfarnham Road, Dublin 6W, Terenure, Dublin

It's a pleasure going to JD's not only for the look on my partners face but also for the lovely staff. Yes it's busy so if you don't have a reservation do not be surprised if you don't get a table straight away. There is a reason for this... 2 words Garlic potatoes...NOM absolute delight. Partner always goes for the Fillet and the Garlic butter and what more do you need on a medium rare steak...he loves it and its gone in minutes...Before I was Vegan I loved their Banoffi Pie... well Now I am happy with their gorgeous sorbet selection...Very good value amazing place with a great atmosphere.. Well done JD's for always keeping up the high standards!!

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Now this is a fast food restaurant that's actually great value for what you pay. Its all fresh food and fresh produce cooked very well in an open style kitchen. The staff are amazingly attentive and they not only read back to you what you have ordered but they offer some insight into what they would recommend on asking. Very efficiently run too. It's in and out perfect for that quick lunch break. I don't like the layout of the church pew style seating and the sound levels can become almost anticonversation but that would never put me off from going there on a regular basis.

YO Sushi (Dundrum)
Level 1, Unit 26A, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

As a well travelled person in both countries and restaurants this isnt like sushi. These guys are not trained in the combinations and the aesthetic of the traditional dishes. The staff are friendly absolutely however I would not call it service. The atmosphere of sitting in the middle of a busy shopping centre and have everyone watch you reach over to grab your food it a little disgusting and impersonable. Hot food I would not recommend unless it's from the chefs personally it will be cold by the time it gets to you. Sorry

Shanahan’s on the Green
119 St. Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Once a year I treat my fussy hunni to a slap up meal for his birthday and there is no better place to go for those carnivores out there who like a bit of luxury and of course the extra 5 star attention from well rehearsed staff and well informed bar attendants. From being seated in the Oval room to being received by the head waiters it's a fabulous dining experience, Yes the food is pricey however they DO not scrimp on portion sizes at all. You WILL leave there stuffed to the brim that it will make you sleepy in the cab on the way home. It's an absolute delight. My favourites in the onion bread...the vegetable soup...their freshly prepared salads and home made dressings that you can either order in advance or even on the night as us vegans love a bit of flavour... The sorbet as a dessert is to die for and definitely worth having... Enjoy people... YUM x

Pizzicato
21 Corrig Road, Sandyford, Sandyford, Dublin

Staff's attention to detail when it comes to food and produce and the attention the staff has towards customers is stuff of legends. Staff remembered my name and that I love my garlic bread sticks with extra garlic on them!! Now that's a STAR service with a personal touch. The venue is amazing no wonder people actually QUEUE around the corner to get to it and the amazing team of chefs. The menu is straight forward and dirt cheap but he does not scrimp on the portion sizes. Great place highly recommended xx

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Oh wow Oh wow Oh wow... we had an amazing lunch here at the rustic Stone. The food was incredible. I am Vegan so to find places that do vegan friendly food is hard but hey here goes. I had the Beetroot salad to start with and yum yum yummy it was amazing.. I then had the cauliflower as a side too good too good and for desert I had the vegan chocolate with avocado ok can I say that it was amazing yes I can. I loved the service however it wasn't very child friendly. There was a high chair but the straps were broken and they didn't have one spare. so that's a bit of a let down. We sat downstairs in the restaurant which was perfect but you do get a lot of Staff banter and with that some comments about guests. I know we are not all on our best behaviour at the best of times but come on do us a favour and don't judge the diners...no matter how many portions they want. The bill came to about 100 Euros for 3 adults eating and 5 drinking 2 alcoholic beverages for over 10Euro is a bit steep but the food certainly made up for it... Thank you

Pizza Hut (Dundrum)
Unit CSA, 2M Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Me and my small family went there on Saturday and what a shambles....Is this what Pizza hut has become?? First we had to wait at the door only to be ushered to a seating area with other hungry individuals. We could see tables were free or were being left and it could have accommodated us all quite easily but nope we had to wait almost 25 mins. Then we were sat down and left. about 20 mins later my partner was getting a little agitated and wanted to leave. It took us a few tries to get the attention of someone and she told us someone would be along shortly...She did not even take the drink order. By this time me my partner and little boy were very hungry but yayy someone popped over and asked us what we wanted to have. instead of telling us what was on offer I had to ask about the deal I saw outside. 9.99 for pizza pasta and salad... Seeing as I am Vegan I only go for the salad and sometimes a pasta if they are egg free.. anyways we ordered...There was hardly any salad at the salad bar left. So I munched on olives thank goodness I like those.. My partners pizza came another 25 mins later and the chips we had ordered were soaked in so much fat AND they were still had on the inside. I remembered Pizza Hut as a place to party as a place to bring children to have fun and mess with the icecream machine for dessert. I am afraid this will be our very last visit!!...

Chameleon Restaurant
1 Lower Fownes Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Seriously if you are looking for something truly amazing and different you HAVE to go here. Their Mango Salad is to DIE for. The staff are super attentive. They always see to it that you leave absolutely happy. If they don't have something on their menu from a previous menu they will and I mean they WILL make sure you have something that will tickle your taste buds. Its the best place in Dublin by FAR!!
