We were there very early on a Tuesday evening so didn't expect an atmosphere. Service excellent, friendly and efficient. My husband chose wiser than I as his Hake mains and pate starter were the winners. My goat's cheese brulee missed the mark as it wasn't what I expected - too stiff and solid. Veggie burger was good though.Girl & the Goose restaurant

Just had a quick lunch here yesterday. Food was good, well presented and tasty. Both of us had salads. Service was excellent. Felt it was a bit expensive for what we got. Spotless restaurant and that continued to the toilets. Unfortunately it was quiet with only one other table in use which didn't add to the atmosphere.

Food was what I'd describe as wholesome, what you might imagine you'd get in a family run Italian restaurant in Italy.

Four of us went for dinner last evening. First of the Christmas season and they had their Christmas menu which represented very good value for money. Knowledgeable, efficient staff with top marks going to the Chef. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed each course and all beautifully presented. Highly recommend.

This was my third time here and the best so far. Our server had to explain the menu and how each course was cooked as the menu only lists what it contains with no description. We chose wisely. Both of us had the chicken mouse starter which was a delicious fusion of tastes. I had the cod which was gleaming white and fresh and my husband had the duck which was also a great choice. We had the pear crumble - again delicious and cheese board which was most generous. Will definitely be back. This restaurant represents great value for money and one of the best I've been to on the Northside of the city. A really talented chef who should be supported!

Enjoyed a lovely evening here. Mario was a terrific host, friendly and informative. The Gorgonzola Ravoli was delicious and the starter of Artisan Breads with spreads was quite filling.

Very enjoyable evening where the food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient.

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin
Very busy restaurant and quite noisy which we didn't like but it might have been due to some large parties. My husband really enjoyed his Pâté starter and Chicken mains while I liked my starter of goats cheese & beetroot salad, there was a scarcity of beetroot and the walnuts were not candied. This was pointed out and acknowledged and apologised for so handled well by management and was made up for in my mains of Chickpea and Red Kidney Bean Curry. Delicious! Represented very good value for money as with a bottle of wine cost €78. Will return!

Chapter One Restaurant

This is a well oiled business. We dined here for the Theatre menu. From the minute we entered the service was impeccable, attentive and very efficient if perhaps a little rushed. The food is the main event and all praise to the kitchen. It was extremely good, flawlessly presented and tasting like one would expect of a Michelin Star restaurant.

I had my first visit to this restaurant last Friday with two colleagues. We arrived for 12.30 so were the first people there though it did fill up before we left. I have to say we all enjoyed everything we had. It was delicious and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Great views and great food and great selection of fish! This was our first time here and we will return. Found it quite loud which was a bit off putting. Friendly and efficient service.

We were very impressed with our first visit to this restaurant. It deserves the five star rating in all of the areas mentioned and I will certainly be back.

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years. Service is always friendly and efficient. Food is always of a high quality, cooked to perfection and very enjoyable. Bar area is usually busy and small and unfortunately you have to share this area with people eating in the more casual area of the Tapas Bar. Will continue to eat here.

i availed of the offer for the Tasting Menu and was completely delighted. I had never been to DAX before so was looking forward to it and not disappointed. Each course was delicious and well presented accompanied by excellent service. So good I'm going back end of August. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

My friend and I were the first in the Restaurant at 6.00 p.m. nevertheless the Front of House person made us feel welcome and provided excellent service throughout the evening. The food was excellent. We both had the same, beetroot and goats cheese starter and fish for mains followed by the panna cotta and carrot cake. Every mouthful was delicious.

Essence Bistro

Essence is a restaurant we regularly visit but it's been awhile since I last posted a review and I have to say things haven't changed. It is, as it has always been, excellent. The food is obviously the main event and it didn't disappoint. The Kilkeen Harbour Scallops were so good as a starter the last time that we both ordered them as mains this time. It also represents great value for money with friendly and efficient service. Great cocktails too!

My friends and I have lunch here at least four times a year and usually more but this is the first time I've written a review and that is remiss of me. This restaurant is superb. It starts with the arrival and seating. Always made feel welcome. The staff excel at what they do - service. It is excellent without ever being fawning or over the top. We are always made feel we can stay and there is never a hint to leave. The food again is superb. This time I had the beetroot and cream cheese starter, my friends had the soup and crab cakes. For mains it was hake (not on the menu but the waiter asked chef to accommodate us as the sea bream was finished on the lunch menu - where would you get that level of service?) and chicken for my other friend. And finally for desert it was the delicious, tangy lemon tart and carrot cake. All of us recommend this restaurant.

I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. I have been now several times both for lunch and dinner. Food never disappoints. Menu changes regularly which is great particularly if you live locally which I do. Doubt if one could find better value for money. Service is professional and efficient. Well worth a visit and I will certainly be back again
