Returned to the mystic celt last night and we have to say it was well worth it! Of our party of 4 no one had any complaints. The Hungry Monk
Church Road, Greystones, Greystones, Wicklow

four of us visited on saturday night the food was delicious, the only fault was not enough gluten free/vegetarian options and no where on the menu did it state you could ask for them. bit pricy, but fab decor and monk theme throughout, will be back !

The Blue Fin Seafood & Grill
The Grand Hotel, Wicklow Town, Wicklow

Had a lovely meal in the Blue Fin, started with the stuffed mushrooms which came with a lovely salad and dressing, followed by roasted vegetable & morzarella salad which was lovely, friend had the burger which she loved. Generous glasses of wine topped it off ! lovely meal, will be back, pity we were the only people in the restaurant tho !

The Chester Beatty Inn
Ashford, Ashford, Wicklow

Went for our sunday lunch and it was delicious ! plenty of food, great atmosphere in comfortable booths, place could do with a bit of repair to some of the seats which are a bit torn. but no mistaking the food was great if only a little expensive ! Will definitely be back !

Ashford Oriental
Main Street , Ashford , Ashford, Wicklow

Vistied here on a wednesday evening, they accommodated us at late notice 9:20pm, and were warm and welcoming. pity there was only 4 other people there so atmosphere was stale. felt you had to whisper! Service was quick! food was good , shared mixed vegetarian platter to start - no sign of the advertised seaweed which is a pity ! main course of Vegetable chow mein was bland enough, had to request soya sauce, but that may have been a bad choice! Duck in plum sauce was perfect. Chocolate fudge cake to follow was light and fab ! Will return but thought it was very expensive compared to other chinese restaurants !

The Bridge Tavern
Bridge Street, Wicklow Town, Wicklow

Lovely new place to eat in wicklow town, nice airy restaurant, fab tables at the side overlooking the river, be nice for lunch on a sunny day! was a bit disappointed there wasnt a vegetarian option for main couse and only 1 choice for starter, which i had to have as a main course !! the dauphanoise potatoes were lovely. Friend had lamb shank and was very happy with it. Chocolate brownie for dessert - could have done with heating up was very heavy - overall nice meal, pity about lack of selection but will defo try it again !

Ashford House on the Weir Gastro Pub
Ashford House, Ashford, Wicklow

Ashford lounge has been transformed into this new restaurant, with marble tables and booths. The food is beautiful with plenty of choice. We were told when we rang to book, upon enquiring about vegetarian food they could make anything we would like as all is made from scratch - well impressed! I had goats cheese, beetroot & pink grapefruit salad which was beautiful. For mains i had butternut ravioli with lemon sauce it was fantastic. My friend had chilli prawns and the roast pork dinner, she loved it. Portions were a good size and very tasty. Pity there was not a few more people there but we will definitely be back and id highly recommend it a little gem hope it lasts !

Black 'n Blue Grill - Closed
Church Street, Wicklow Town, Wicklow

We have been going here a lot but have found our last visit disappointing there was nothing vegetarian on the menu (they change the menus daily) so i had salad for starter and main course - not ideal ! So we decided to try it again last saturday, we were seated quick enough, but they told us there was no meat dishes left on the menu only fish (3 of us dont eat fish), they had soup left from lunch which was nice. I had a vegetarian curry which was very bland and a grainy affect (like something from a packet). Ater checking with the kitchen they brought on the next days rib eye, friend asked for some raw onions with his, when it arrived he asked again to be told there are no onions left in the kitchen !!!!! is this not a staple kitchen ingredient?? 2 of us had a glass of sauvigon blanc each, 1 of us asked for another glass to be told they had run out! May not visit it again for a while or ever !

Victoria Asian Cuisine
5A The Cresent, South Co. Dublin , Monkstown, Dublin

Wongs is under new management and is now called Victoria Asian Cuisine - the food was good in wongs but is better now! The new manager is friendly and attentive. As a vegetarian I love the salt & pepper tofu - it's divine! I do miss the creamed sweetcorn soup (please put it back on your menu!!) The wine list is ok, they do quarter bottles now but the selection is not great! I'm making another reservation now!

Rickshaw Chinese Restaurant
Kill Lane, Dublin 18, Deansgrange, Dublin

We have been going here for a few years and always find the food good, the staff are very disorganised and would need to rectify this as on our previous visit a lot of customers were fed up! The food is great and good value, try the salt and pepper fried tofu, its fab!

The Stillorgan Orchard
1 The Hill, Stillorgan, Stillorgan, Dublin

Been here a few times for lunch and it is good, always a good vegetarian dish, do-able!

Village Bistro at Tonic Bar, Restaurant and Club
5 Temple Road, Blackrock Village, Blackrock, Dublin

Will not eat here again, I got a salad and there was a crumpled up empty sugar packet in the middle of my salad... made me wonder did I get the scrapings off someone elses plate. When I complained they offered me a free dessert! Needless to say I didn’t eat so I didn’t pay... Never Again!

Chi Asian Restaurant
9 Georges Avenue, Blackrock, Dublin

A group of 8 of us was there recently for my mother’s birthday; they were more than accommodating and done the whole birthday cake thing and drink on the house after. The selection of vegetarian dishes is very poor but I requested a vegetarian nasi goreng (not on the menu), which they did for me and it was gorgeous. Everyone else was very happy with their meal. Will be back.

Blue Orchid Blackrock
Newpark Centre, Newtown Park Avenue, South Co. Dublin, Blackrock, Dublin

I visit the Blue Orchid at least twice a fortnight, its fantastic, the staff are extremely friendly and the food is of a very high quality and quick and hot. They will do any dish to your requirement. Being a vegetarian they have often accommodated me. The wine selection is not great they pick it up from next doors O’Brien’s and charge corkage even on quarter bottles they have in stock :( Highly recommended and they give doggy bags!

Bella Cuba Restaurant
11 Ballsbridge Terrace, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Never again! The place is tiny and quite claustrophobic. The service is awful we waited approx 45 mins between each course. Our table was booked for 8:30 and it was nearly midnight leaving. The food was nothing to recommend. We felt like visiting the chipper on the way home! Won’t be back.

Mao Restaurant (Dun Laoghaire)

Toscana (Dun Laoghaire)
5 Windsor Terrace, South Co. Dublin , Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Four of us were in Toscana on Friday night, we were 1 hour late for our table but after ringing ahead they kept it for us. The food was excellent and great crack. The house wine is good very drinkable. The place was jam packed but food came quick and hot. Would recommend bruschetta, fillet mignon and pizza.... Yum!

P McCormack & Sons
67 Mountown Lower, Monkstown, Dublin

Was in this pub last night for food after work, the garlic potatoes are to die for! We had vegetarian ciabatta, which I suspect came from a packet as was a bit soggy but the garlic potatoes were fab. My partner had the chicken salad, which was very good. Would highly recommend it for a quick bite and at €25 for 2 meals and 2 soft drinks you cant go wrong.
