I've been to Platform a few times and have always found the service and the food to be excellent. I had the lasagne on our last visit which was just delicious. It comes baked into a dish wrapped in tasty fresh dough. The flatbreads and of course the pizzas are also excellent with really generous portions. I'm not a big drinker so it's also great that they have alternatives to the usual fizzy drinks with their lemonades. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Smokin Bones
34 Dame St, Dame Street, Dublin

Good menu, but I wasn't crazy about the food. I found it overly greasy and very heavy. I had a burger and the meat was nice, but it was so greasy it kept sliding out of the bun. Chips were nice but the rest of the sides were strangely sweet and (again) thick with oil and grease. Wouldn’t rush back.

Love, love, love this restaurant. The pizzas are absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is really laid back and comfortable. It has a nice buzz about it but it's quiet enough to have a proper conversation which is important. I had a pizza for a main and pecan pie for dessert. Friends had the Mac and Cheese and dessert pizzas and all were really happy. The pitchers of lemonade are also really good value and very tasty. I don't drink so it's always great when places have an alternative to the usual soft drink options. Can't wait to go back.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen - GBK (South William Street)
14 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I ordered the small beef burger which was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and juicy, and the toppings were lovely and fresh. Chips were nice but they only have chunky chips with no option for skinny fries which I prefer, but very very tasty food. I'd also recommend the falafel burger too, I've had that before it's lovely.

Mt. Everest of Kathmandu
51 Main Street, Bray, Wicklow

Ate here last night for the first time and was incredibly impressed with the food. I had the Mt Everest Nepali Curry which was a thick (but not creamy) tomatoey curry. It had a little hint of chili which made it spicy but not too hot to enjoy. The portions were great. The service was excellent, we never felt rushed or pressured to pay up. I'd say they would have let us sit on all evening. Can't wait to go back it was just so good!

YO Sushi (Dundrum)
Level 1, Unit 26A, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

I love this place. It's perfect if you're in the mood for a small bite to eat but I wouldn't go for a large meal as the price of all the plates would add up fairly quickly. I'm not the biggest fan of the fish sushi but their cooked chicken on lettuce leaves and the chicken wrapped in seaweed, rice and chili is absolutely gorgeous. The hot noodles are fab too. The restaurant is out in the open and I was worried it would be off putting seeing everyone passing by, but it's actually okay, you hardly notice them, although that could be because it's oddly hypnotic watching the food sailing past. The staff were really lovely, too call them over there's a button on the table in front of you which switches on a light and makes a sound to beckon them. You can help yourself to soy sauce, wasabi and ginger as well, all lovely. One of my favourite places to eat in Dundrum

O'Dwyers
118 Kilmacud Road Lower, Stillorgan, Dublin

I came here the other night with my parents for the first time in ages. I had just finished my finals so I was pretty tired and just in the mood for a relaxing dinner, and that's just what we got. The restaurant is in a pub but the food is far from pub grub. We were eating from the special offer €10 menu. I got the Asian chicken noodles which were lovely. We got three main courses, two glasses of wine two soft drinks and a dessert for about €50 and it was all wonderful. The service was very friendly and the food came out really quickly. I'd highly recommend it.

Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

I was here today with some friends for about the third time and the food was fairly good. I had a chicken wrap which was lovely, although even though I picked the mildest sauce it was still very spicy. The service is fairly different, you're given a table and then you have to go and stand at the counter to order which is annoying if there's a queue as you either have to take your belongings with you or trust that it's okay to leave them at your table. Where we were sitting wasn't the best either. There's one bathroom in the restaurant and the sink where people came to wash their hands was actually out in the restaurant, it's fairly bizarre watching people come out of the bathroom and wash their hands while you're sitting having dinner. I'm not intending to sound overly critical, It's a decent place and well worth trying if you like good chicken.

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I came here with my boyfriend the other day for my birthday and we just loved it. The food was gorgeous and there's a really relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. As soon as we sat down we were greeted with a cup of green tea while we mused over the menus. I had a vegetarian rice and tofu dish which came with a side of miso soup. The soup was quite salty on its own but oddly good when I tried it with the rice. The meal for both of us was less than 30 and that included 2 soft drinks. Fantastic portions too, neither of us had to eat until nearly the next morning. Highly recommended.

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

I was here the other day with a couple of friends and we had a great time. The food was just fab. I had a grilled chicken with feta cheese, the selection here is a rare commodity for cheese lovers such as myself. There's about 10 cheeses to choose from any all the toppings you can think of. I don't see the point in criticising it for having too much choice though. As someone pointed out cranberries aren't a typical burger topping but if you don't like there's a simple solution DON'T ORDER THEM! That's what the Build Your Own Burger sheet's for. The food took a few minutes to come out but our waitress had told us that it's all cooked from fresh, I'd rather wait than eat the same processed muck most other burger restaurants serve. If it's fast food you're after go to McDonald's, but if you want an absolutely quality burger I really recommend The Counter.
