I was in on Sunday night for a local's 80th Birthday party - what a night! There were people from age 4 to age 80, some eating, some drinking, some singing..... everything from curry to chips to small munchies are available in the winter. It's a great place for a coffee, too. I went in on Monday for a latte and my friend had tea - both lovely. I've heard many locals rave that this is the best coffee in the village! Try it, you'll like it....

Danny Macs
Main Street, Lahinch, Lahinch, Clare

I had lunch and then also tea and scone another time. I would say the food was good but the atmosphere was a bit cold. Both times it was almost empty and the waitstaff almost ignored me. At one point my friend said "I'll have a scone - desserts are too sweet for me" and the waiter said "try our "something" it's awesome" it was a sugar bomb - including ice cream. What was he thinking when someone said they don't do sweets? I hear from locals it's good. I might try it again bu tthere are plenty of places in Lahinch to try....

Towers Old Bar
Towers Hotel, Glenbeigh, Kerry

I rented a caravan here in the summer so was here many times; i went back in november as I was passing by. I've eaten here at least 6 times. Everytime i've been the food has been good and the service spot on. The only time it was a tiny bit questionable was after a funeral and the place was MOBBED - but then, I wasn't expecting fast service under those circumstances! The soups are always good; the pint is a good pour. The upstairs restaurant is a bit fancier and i've liked that as well, for a night out. But the pub atmosphere is my favorite!

The Moorings
Portmagee, Waterville, Kerry

The seafood chowder at the Bridge Bar (part of the Moorings) is the best I've had in Ireland. I've had it probably 10 times, and each time it's different. What does that tell you? It's fresh! They make it based on what's come in off the boat! I've been here alone, with a couple and with friends - it's aways good. Sometimes can be crowded during the season so make sure to get in early for lunch! Very convenient to the bridge, as well.....

An Corcan
Main Street, Waterville, Kerry

I've eaten here alone, as a coule, with a group - ALWAYS happy. Everthing from tea and toast (their brown bread was voted BEST in Kerry) to Lamb stew and Curries. The curry is divine. The lamb stew on a rainy day with hot mash was just fantastic. The Irish Breakfast is known in the town as being the best around. In the summer they have a table or two outside, where you can watch the tourists stroll by. Their latte's are the best I've had in Europe. Really!

O'Neills The Point
Renard Point, Caherciveen, Kerry

This is a fantastic restaurant for seafood. I loved my meal, I loved meeting the other happy people at other tables, and I loved the owners. I felt the pricing was out of line for what we got. The salmon was wonderful - but it's farm raised and expensive. The serving size is not what it used to be - It's easy to see photos on sites like Instagram and the like. The guys nearbye had the lobster and they raved about it. I heard them splitting up their bill (lots of pints) and there dinner was 60 euros each. That's high in my book. I would recommend it for a special night but was hoping it would be my regular seafood spot. It's a bit dear for that.

The Blind Piper
Caherdaniel, Sneem, Kerry

I've eaten here quite a few times - it's close to my favorite beach. Their soups are fantastic - butternut squash, a parsnip and lentil, potato. The seafood chowder is also grand. I had a veggie risotto recently - tasted so fresh! Sometimes the staff seems a bit unobservant. Once I came in 3 times in a week and the same waiter asked if I was doing the Ring of Kerry drive that day. Um....no.

Fisherman's Bar & Fisherman's Restaurant
Waterville, Waterville, Kerry

I've been here about 10 times or more. Sometimes for a meal. Sometimes for a pint. Sometimes for a coffee/tea. The food is always good, and the atmosphere is fantastic! I've made "temporary friends" here every time I've been inside! And in the summer with the lovely old bikes with flowers out front - it's like a picture postcard!

The Lobster Bar
Waterville, Waterville, Kerry

Under new management !!!!\n\nI never had a problem with this place before, like the other reviewer, but irregardless it\'s under new management. \n\nThe pub now has live music 3 nights a week (sometimes more, as a bartender is keen on accordion whistle & song!). They make a fantastic curry (not what you may expect in ireland, but its common all over). The sandwiches are fine. Fish & chips excellent, homemade crisps (potato chips for us Yankees) are to die for!\n\nThe lobster is their specialty. Of course! (One guy bought one and let it go free in the sea, yards away. Really!). Try the lobster if you\'re so inclined. You\'ll not regret it. \n\nThe staff is welcoming, experienced, familiar with the menu --- everything you want. \n\nSports tv in the back bar if a big game is on. Music in the front bar even so. Tables outside to enjoy the sun (or if you\'re smoker). \n\nThe Lobster. You can\'t miss it: there is a giant lobster holding a Guinness on the front wall!\n\n\n\n
