Pinocchio Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar
Luas Kiosk, Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

We visited pinocchio about 3 weeks ago. The place is very clean. the atmosphere is lovely. location is quite central. easy to reach by bus, luas, on foot. the restaurant have an open kitchen and you look at the cook while preparing your meals. we got tuna, shrank of lamb, pasta with cernia. I absolutely reccomend the tuna and the pasta: both extremely gorgeous. the shrank was massive but quite dry. It might be better to have it served with some souce where you could wet it. Service was really good , above average and above our expectations. the restaurant has a nice range of fine wines. The toilette was very clean too. Recommended

Chez Max (Palace Street)
1 Palace Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I visited the chez max with my girlfriend. we were quite lucky because with no resarvation we managed to get a table. Anyway we were seated in the heated and covered backgarden of the restaurant where we discovered there are few tables. in that area of the restaurant it really looks like a nice paris bistro. the heating was very good so we were really happy. the atmosphere was then super. we had onionsup for started. really good warm and tasty.I then ordered the lamb which was really good, tender and tasty. the portion are quite big. almost difficult to have a full 2/3 courses meal. we had a problem with the wine, I , by mistake, ordered a pinot noir that was really light and almost fizzy, we did not like it so we asked the manager if it was possible to replace the bottle and we had drunk only two glasses. the managed, super gently, agreed to change the bottle, for a nice full body that we enjoyed with our meal....and they did not even charge us for the 1st bottle or the glasses we had of that. we had cream brule and cheese platter as dessert. we had a really good night and i would reccomend this restaurant for the quality of the food, the high quality of service, and the kindness of the stuff. they shold have a larger wine list though. taking everythin into account. they are super

Bar Italia
26 Blooms Lane , Lower Ormond Quay, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

I reccomend this place. exspecially for lunch. Great location. good pizza and pasta. I visited this restaurant more than 3 times. good pasta dished. service is quite professional even though sayng badwords very laud in italian is not a great practice because there actually might be an italian customer who understand them. toilette is ok. wine list is sufficient. nothing special but definitely good

Nico's Restaurant
53 Dame Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

We went to Nico's for a birthday party. The atmosphere is "ok" if you fancy spending your dinner in a restaurant that look like the Soprano's one. Even though the interiors did not match my tastes, this does not mean that they are bad. they are just a bit "heavy". the service was sufficiently professional. The food surprisingly good. I reccomend to take the fresh hand mande pasta. It was very good. Portions are abudandant. The wine list is sufficient. Toilette were clean, new and spacious. The dinner was a bit pricey. taking everything into account I would go back and I would reccomend it exspecially for lunches. If you work close a nice pasta for lunch will give you the right energy for the day

The Boxty House
20-21 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I would reccomend this restaurant. The food is very good and not expensive. portions are big and the service is excellent. waiters are kind and professional. the interiors are really warm and the location in supercentral. the restaurant in clean and confortable. The value for money is great. we paid nearly 35 each for a great meal inclusive of desserts. I have been there many times and i reccomend the stews, the chowders, the lamb boxty, the fish and chips, and they also have a great bread and butter pudding. don't go looking for wine, the list is not great, but the murphys is really good

Les Freres Jacques
74 Dame Street, Dublin City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I could not resist anymore. I wanted to try this restaurant. We went on a Tuesday to get the offer of 50% discount on bottles of wine, which is a very good deal. The service level is really high, even though if you are not used to waiters coming to your table and saying every 25 seconds "bon appetiit", the service might result a bit "too much". THe atmosphere is lovely. The food was really good. I took a confit duck leg which was great and a Roast Rack Of Lamb that was tasty, delicate, well cooked and well presented.Hmmm. Really good food. the dessert was not great. It tool quite long to prepare it, they bake it on request, and even though it looked really fancy, it was a bit too dry. we ended up paying 100 euros each, and it was a night with 50% discount on bottles of wine and we did not order seafood or lobster or champagne. Still I would reccomend it if you want to impress your guest and if you want to treat yourself.

L'Gueuleton
No 1 Fade Street, Off Georges's Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We decided to go for dinner. So we went queuing early for around 30 minutes and we managed to be the 1st two customers to enter the restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very warm. You can see in the kitchen and this is always a very good indicator of a good clean kitchen. the list of wine is very good and the prices are decent. I took a Slow Roast Pork Belly that was tasty and tender. one of the best i have ever tried. everything was served to us was nice and very well prepared. portions are abundant. after all i have to say that my dinner was a bit ruined because when i entered the restaurant ( 1st customer of the evening) i went straight to toilette (1st customer) and it hadn't been cleaned properly. that disgusted me. and when i said to the restaurant staff they said "oh, sorry" and did not even apologize. the food was great, the wine was great, the price for value was good. maybe i was unlucky.

Martines Restaurant & Wine Bar
21 Quay Street, Galway, Galway City, Galway

We went to Martines and we had a pleasant night. The restaurant has cosy atmosphere and the specials of day were fresh and delicate. fresh handmade brown bread was served to us. we had breaded mussels, salmon and sole. everything balanced and delicate. The list of wines is not brilliant but sufficient. The staff was very kind but not very professional. the desert ad delicious bread and butter was above expectation. Clean toilette. The restaurant does not have licence for spirit, so is not possible to order a after dinner spirit. I would reccomend it
