Went here for the first time with my wife on friday night. I have to say it is a very impressive looking restuarant with a great bar to the side. We just decided to have a maincourse each. I had the lamb which i found very very tasty, possibly with a few too many tastes and flavours going on, but perfectly cooked. My wife had the Hake and thought a little of the same but also loved it, we finished with an amazing crem brulee and teo coffee's. Defo worth another visit

Ashtons GastroPub
11 Vergemount, Clonskeagh Road, Clonskeagh, Dublin

It was years since i was here and im glad to see that the menu has finally changed. I had heard it had been taken over and was exited to check it out. The place itself hasn't changed much but then again it always looked great. Bright and airy. It was the evening when myself and my wife went in for a look. We first sat up at the bar and my wife had a glass of wine while i tried a Guinness mid strength. While at the counter we noticed that other people where having steak on the Stone. We were sold straight away. What an experiance. The steak came out on a 440 degree stone and with all the trimmings. you then cut and cook it yourself at the table. The best steak ive ever had. Will defo be returning soon.

Harte's Bar & Grill
Market Square, Kildare Town, Kildare Town, Kildare

This was my second time to visit Harte's bar & Grill in Kildare town, I was here with friends last January and had a great meal so i popped in for lunch last friday. The place was busy busy just like my last visit, i was seated in the bar as their was no room in the restaurant. I ordered the Club sandwich wihich was beautifully presented on a long wooden board. Served with crispy potato skins and a choice of two dips. A top class sambo i must say. I then ordered a coffee and left. Well worth a vist day or night

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Naas)
Main Street, Naas, Kildare

i was in GBK naas the other day and i was not i was expecting. I have to say that i was not impressed at all. The Name suggested that i was to be a Gourmet Burger however i found it to be the opposite. When you say Gourmet you expect to get a Homemade burger that is filled with flavor. What i got was not this at all. The burger is more like a big Al's frozen XXX burger. The only thing that differs one burger from the next is another cold sauce. Very Dissapointing. Plus i had to wait 40 mins.

Dew Drop Inn
(Centre of) Kill Village, Naas, Naas, Kildare

On arrival to the DewDrop i was greeted by an open fire. On such a cold day it was exactly what i was looking for. It was not how i remembered. There has been some amazing refurbishments done here and the food and service was as good as i have got anywhere. I ordered the pan-fried Seabass with wild mushroom rissotto and it was delicious. This was a special on the day. The dessert menu looked very appetising but i had plenty. As i live in the area i will definitely be coming back and most certainly recommending it. The Chunk
