Paid our first visit to Milano on Clarion Quay on way to Elton John in O2 on 25 November last. Restaurant was bursting at seams, lady patron at door highly recommended food and worth the wait. A little table was found and our order taken promptly. We both ordered Pollo Ad Astra and 2 large glasses of house red. Not long before we were cutting into the hot straight from the oven pizzas, tastiest i've ever had! Waitress was very pleasant and attentive. This Milano's is off my beaten track, but i will definitely make my way back before next 02 visit.

Franzini's
Frenchs Lane, Trim, Meath

Visited Franzini's on St Patrick's Day. Excellent value & selection on early bird menu, 2 courses €19.95. Shared starter of baby rack of rib, fell of the bone & ample portion to share. Main of Spicy Chicken Teriyaki & Sirloin 8oz - great portions, plates hot, (excellent) and Steak cooked to order, thoroughly delicious. Shared dessert of ice-creams & tea for 2. Very relaxed ambience considering they were so busy after town parade, staff very friendly and professional. Great seat by window with view of Castle.

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Dined with 3 girlfriends on special menu pages offer of €35 for 2 people for a 2 course menu & bottle of wine. Took a while to decide what to choose from such great menu choice and all very happy with starters selected of mussels, pate, chicken wings and warm chorizo salad. Fish of day was Sea Bass and 3 mains of twice cooked beef, beautifully served, great portions of vegetables (red cabbage delight). Coffees and liqueurs rounded off a very tasteful and relaxing dining experience. From welcome at door service was excellent and friendly, exceptional value and compliments to all.

La Bucca Dunboyne
The Green Centre, Dunboyne Village, Dunboyne, Co. Meath, Dunboyne, Meath

Visited La Bucca in Dunboyne Saturday afternoon for family lunch. Greeted with warm & friendly welcome. We chose from Tennerfest Menu - 2 Starters of Bruschetta Pomodoro and 1 Shredded Duck - all delicious and ample servings. Main courses of Swiss Burger, Lemon & Chilli Chicken & Chicken Arabiatta (ordered extra hot) were all served together, again, great portions. Meat Burger itself just lacked that little kick of seasoning, Arabiatta perfectly hot and Lemon Chilli Chicken divine! Dessert special of the day was Aero Mint Cheese Cake, 2 ordered and 1 Banoffee Pie for taking home. Overall, great menu choices, food was delicious and plentiful, Service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Tennerfest Menu excellent value. Ambience however was tired and worn rather than rustic. Great floor space, great potential!

Paris Bakery and Pastry
18, 19 Moore Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Visited with a friend, where we enjoyed lovely bowl of tomato & sweet pepper soup accompanied by a generous bread basket (varied flavours). Main course of Chicken Cordon Bleu & blanquette of Lamb (delicous stew) rewarded our taste-bud expectations. We shared a fresh mixed fruit tartlet and fresh cream pastry slice (sorely missing pastries of this quality in Dublin) and rounded off the evening with two creamy coffees. Little gem in middle of Moore Street!

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

First visit to Salamanca and impressed! It was very busy when we arrived at 7.30pm, we had no booking but were made welcome and accommodated with a table for two until 9pm, which was perfect! Selected bottle of house spanish red, toasted bread and tomatoe, potatoe, prawn, spanish sausage dishes. Water served without requesting (great!). Lovely warm athmosphere, filled with people chatting away, aromas of beautiful dishes in the air and still comfortable to have our own little chat. Staff were lovely, attentative but not invasive. A quite relaxing couple of hours, food and wine beautiful and i love the whole idea of tapas and sharing! Great for 1st dates, getting to know you and catching up, conversaton never runs dry!

Purple Ocean Restaurant
St Michael's Pier, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Visited with 9 colleagues on a work night out. Very impressed with location and layout of restaurant. Excellent space between tables. Staff very friendly, helpful and were having a busy night. Food was just wonderful! I ordered starter of Seafood chowder, main course of Sea Bass with Pesto and a Baileys Cheesecake and coffee to finish. I origally ordered Duck and discovered a couple of menu items not available on the night - very happy with my second choice though! We went al a carte but there is also an excellent priced set menu. Will be back!!

Cafe Topolis
37 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What an amazing little gem! The best calzone ever! This visit my calzone arrived to the table in the shape of a fish, so beautifully crafted i admired it for a few moments hesitating putting the knife through this work of art! However, that was quickly overcome when the amazing aroma and flavour attacked and utterly satisified my senses of sight, smell and taste! House Red was soft and velvety. What a way to get over the Monday Blues!
