Love the Sweet and Sour Chicken. I've also been told the beef curry and chow mien are fantastic. For desert you cannot pass the various fritters. Extremely reasonable and would def recommend.

Reviewed 21st January 2008 ( visited 18th January 2008 )Went here last friday after work because we had vouchers and hadn't been there before. Have to say it will prob be my first and last visit to the place. Starter was lovely- Smoked Chicken, spinach and artichoke dip. I had the pulled pork burger and my partner had the HRC Bacon Cheeseburger. Have to say neither were great. Chips were nothing special either. Our meal was made somewhat interesting by the brief visit of Marco Pierre White but other than that I can say it was quite boring. Everything overpriced for what is it in my opinion.
Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
Lovely place for lunch. Had turkey burger but its a bit heavy handed with garlic. Bleugh. Sweet potato wedges delish. Raspberry pimms not as nice as a proper pimms(also had strawberries not raspberries as did the raspberry bellini). Will go back but will be to try something different.
Henry Street, Limerick City, Limerick
Had a family lunch here recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Had the caesar salad to start which was very tasty, followed by Bang Bang Chicken for mains which was divine. Baileys & Malteser cheesecake finished off the meal perfectly. The staff were excellent, esp as we had an 8 month old with us. There was no issues heating up food for the baby or going that extra mile to get her some strawberries. Would def recommend and will be back.
The Forum, Ballymoss Road, Dublin 18 , Sandyford, Dublin
Visited with some friends recently and have to say the lunch menu is great value. Had the spring rolls to start which were tasty but could have been more substantial with their filling. Beef Curry to follow was very tasty but the highlight was by far the banana fritters and ice-cream. All in all it was great value but I would have to think about paying for the A la carte menu which seems excessively pricey.
Victoria Hotel, Victoria Place, Galway City, Galway
had dinner here last saturday as part of the hotel package. had the bacon caesar to start which was reallt tasty. My husband had the garlic mushrooms which were also very good. For mains I had the chicken escalop which I found quite tasteless, while my husband had the chicken curry which was quite tasty. To finish we had the chocolate fudge cake which was by far the highlight of the evening. A warm gooey chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream and winter berry coulis. Fantastic. Would def go back for a cheap and cheerful meal.

This is a great place for lunch. Always very busy but just shows how great their food is. I love their Chicken Stir Fry and their garlic bread. The pizzas are fantastic too. Lovely spot.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill
51 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin
We had dinner here last week. Food was quite good, crab a little too lemony for my liking. Fish and chips was really good as was spatchcock chicken. Puree Carrots a little too watery for my liking. The one major complaint is that the tables are too small which results in the only noise in the restaurant being knifes and plates falling off the tables.
Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
wasn't too impressed with this restaurant. Tables very close together, no comfort. Got the chicken burger and it was very lemony- not to my taste.

The Ivy @ Dunboyne Castle

very limited menu for non red meat and fish eaters.Very expensive. Tomato Bruschetta was lovely. Risotto inedible. My partner had steak which he said was lovely. Desert very tasty. Overall not very impressed and wouldn't be too keen to return.

Had dinner here last night and I will never return. Firstly the chicken was so tough it was inedible. Rice was cold. Then we had an american waitress that basically ran us out of the restaurant. As soon as the cutlery was put down she was swiping away the plates and bringing us the bill. Overrated completely.

Had dinner here on Monday evening and it was fantastic. Mini vegetable rolls with Thai sauce for starters. I had Breast of Chicken curry with fried rice while my partner had sizzling noodles with beef and black bean sauce. Both were faultless. Banana fritters and a caramel ice-cream to finish off one of the best meals we have had for a while. Bottle of wine, one beer, 2 coffees all for 69euro. Will def return to this restaurant. Cannot recommend it enough.
Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Ate here last night. Had the spring roll to start and my bf had the goujons. Goujons def won. They were delish and the mayo with them was fantastic. Had veggie burger for mains. Very tasty but could have done with some salad with it. My bf had the frenchie which he thought was extremely good. Happy hour on all beer and cocktails (€3) during the football which is a great bonus. Will def be back
28 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Cheap early bird. Did not like the food. Everything was very salty. Soup was tasteless. Had the Stuffed Vegetables for mains. Nothing to write home about. Very cramped atmosphere. Kitchen staff came through the restaurant with a bag of rubbish. Will not be returning.

Have eaten here on numerous occasions. Extremely reasonable, great food and great service. Would recommend Vol-au vont and Chicken Maryland, although the rest is very good too but these are my favourites. Staff excellent. Kids menu also available and will cater for small kids too.
20 Merrion Street Upper, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I was in this restaurant last weekend and I have to say I was not overly in awe of this restaurant as others seem to be. I am not a vegetarian but I found very little choice on the regular menu to suit my taste. There is a lot of game and fish on the menu which is not to my liking. I had tempura carrots and courgettes ( which turned out to be asparagus) to start. I must admit I was expecting everything to be fantastic after having this starter. My partner had mushroom risotto which was fantastic. The I had mushroom tagliatelle for mains. It was horrible. It was extremely dry and the tagliatelle tended to stick in your throat. My partner had steak which he found extremely tough. The wine was fantastic. I ordered a baileys coffee to finish and I was extremely disappointed with it. All in All I would not be running back considering the prices and the quality of the food.
Lobster Pot Restaurant

Can't complain about anything. Food is delicious. I had melon to start which was very refreshing, Chicken for mains. The Chicken was so soft and the taste divine. Sat down for dinner at 6.30 and left at 9.30. So relaxed. Everything was perfect. Will def be going back on next visit to Galway.

Had an early bird here last night with some friends. Food was lovely had onion soup to start and chicken for mains. Both very tasty. and all for €19 each. Only complaint is the staff.. They tend to be very slow and seem to be running around like headless chickens. Had to wait an age to grab their attention to get the bill.

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )

Great place to eat. Cocktails are the best thing about TGI's. Staff very friendly, even though they are always extremely busy.
17 Dame Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Went here last night. 6 of us in total. Had combination platter to start which was very tasty and Sweet and sour Chicken with fried rice. Food was great. Only problem I had was the 2 women sitting beside us who it seems were the owners or manangement of some sort. Firstly they continually stared at us and listened to our conversations, secondly we had to put up with people continually coming over hugging them and finally one of the women was giving out to one of the waitresses right beside me. Food Lovely but due to what went on beside me I dont think I would be going back.
F.X. BUCKLEY Steakhouse Crow Street

Had the early bird here on Tuesday. Fantastic. Great value, great service and amazing food! I had corn fed chicken while my partner had the steak. Both mouthwateringly brilliant. Baileys Creme Brulee is so light and delish. Can't wait to return.
