Outstanding. The beetroot cured Salmon starter is the best starter I have ever had. Top notch cooking. Colcannon also amazing. Only complaint is that the portions are almost too generous. Could barely walk out of the place! Great value for money.

Quality of food and atmosphere absolutely top class. Very comfortable restaurant with good service. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but for a special occasion or entertaining business colleagues it is a top spot.

Brought my staff here for xmas lunch and it was fantastic. Starters and mains were outstanding. An expansive menu compared with other Restaurants at this time of year. A few commented it was as good as the time we went to Chapter One. Desserts were not quite executed as well and some of wait staff lacked experience/knowledge but these were minor quibbles. Definitely plan to go back here ASAP. For me great value for money for the standard of food.

The Woollen Mills
42 Ormond Quay Lower, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went for brunch yesterday with my wife. Really loved the food. Great variety and thought has gone into menu and dishes. Unfortunately I have to agree with the other reviewers about service. It is a poor, inattentive and take-it-or-leave it attitude. With all the level of competition in the city now with great places to eat, it is shocking that management have not addressed this. Having said that, I would go back again for the food.

Bistro 53
Main St, Maynooth, Maynooth, Kildare

A real Gem. Went for dinner last night to celebrate 7th wedding anniversary. First visit.Very impressed. Had no idea it was an authentic Italian restaurant with the service to match. Very tasty, well cooked dishes and loved the extensive choice of wines by the glass. Easily the best restaurant in North Kildare.

absolutely top notch indian food. best Naan bread i have ever tasted. nice to see an indian with the confidence to just have set dishes instead of sauces that can be ordered with any meat. Amazing flavours. love it!

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Love the food here. Monkfish with beetroort & avovado bites unforgettable! I would eat platefulls of them. Pity there is no drive-through to avail of these delicious & healthy treats. Service professional & attentive but not friendly. A bit pricey, but I would happily come and pay again because the food is so good.

Went for lunch for wedding anniversary yesterday. Beetroot-marinated salmon starter was one of the nicest tthings I have ever eaten. Equally, my wife's macaroni with pig's cheek and black pudding was delicious. Both dishes were of the highest standard you would find in any top end restaurant @ half the price. Mains were also excellent with hearty portions. The traditional colcannon side dish was almost a meal in itself and was rich & tasty. Nice wine list with plenty of choice and quality by the glass. After 2 lovely lemon tarts accompanied with jellies, sorbet and pureé all made from in-season peaches, we were stuffed and excitedly wondering when we could come back with friends. Highly recommend!

The Cake Cafe
62 Pleasants Place, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Finally found this little gem last Fri. (Why no sign out the front of Daintree??)I think the reviews here are fair. Lovely setting, amazing food & coffee but poor service. The staff are a little too into their own coolness, but hats off for what they are delivering here. Expected yummy cakes from reputation but savoury food was impressive too. The lemon slice is pure ecstacy with every mothful. My wife bakes to a very high standard and she was very impressed. This type of dessert you would expect to get in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Also the Bicerin coffee was luxurious (think: the best Mocha you never had). Can't wait to go back.
