I hate to give a bad review to a Restaurant that I have given 4 stars to on more than 1 occasion but last nights meal was terrible. The place was really busy so maybe this was the problem. We could not talk to each other because it was so noisy the service was slow and the food was awful (Have they hired a new Chef?). I had ordered the Risotto for my main, it was swimming in oil (WHY?) if they hadn't put some rocket dressed in lemon on top it would have been bland bland bland. I can say based on the meal we were served we will not be back.... such a shame.

Lovely food and staff. I have to give special mention to the truly superior BUN!!! The bun made the burger a pleasure to eat. The wings are small but tasty. We will be back

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Myself and partner ate here this evening and once again we were given some great service food & ambience. My only issue was the starter, it was supposed to be flat cap mushroom with parmesan crumb served with some little onions (I Love mushrooms) what I got, although lovely, was a salad with little onions lots of parmesan crumb & 1 lonely thin sliver of mushroom. I will not rate this restaurant down because of this I would just like them to either correct the menu as it's misleading or tell the kitchen to give mushroom & not salad (as advertised). Thanks for a great evening Le Bon Crubeen we will be back.

101 Talbot
Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

We ate here this evening using a voucher that we had purchased online. My partner had the Scallop black pudding & pea starter I had the Duck rillette both were lovely, We both had the rump of Lamb, perfect. Followed by Chocolate fondant & a Lemon tart. Hats off to the chef, a super restaurant on my doorstep doesn't get better than that. .

Thunder Road Cafe
Fleet Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

We ate here using a LivingSocial voucher and we would never go back. We both ordered the T-bone steak, it was served with frozen chips frozen onion rings, undercooked onions, undercooked tomato and the greasiest mushrooms I have ever had, it also had two sauces "Mega Yuk". This would cost €29.95 each, terrible value for money. The seats are all ripped and taped together the place is cluttered and as a result dust and dirt are visible everywhere. This is a tourist trap restaurant, bad food and bad value in a tired rundown establishment.

San Lorenzos
South Great Georges Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

First Class Italian Eatery in Dublin...Starters... Asparagus prosciutto & poached egg, YUM Yum. Tortellini, Yum Yum once again (Fresh Pasta made in house). Mains... Prosciutto wrapped Chicken served with creamed corn & caramelized Onion, moist & delicious. Steak with mash jus & veg, Scrumptious. Topped off with Tirimisu and Lemon Posset, light refreshing and a perfect finish. I cannot fault this restaurant the staff were inviting attentive and discreet, the food was delicious. I have eaten in some so called Italian Restaurants & I have nearly been put off eating in another, San Lorenzos has restored my faith in great Italian Food. Thank you guys for a fantastic evening.

Red Torch Ginger
14/ 15 Andrew Street , Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We dined here using a Living Social Voucher & it was a fantastic experience. I ordered the Aromatic Duck & it was stunning. I have ordered this dish whenever I see it on a menu & I have been disappointed on every occassion, something that looks like it has been scrapped from the bottom of a pot gets served. Today I received REAL DUCK... sliced & presented beautifully Massive thank you to the Red Torch Ginger for taking pride in what the serve. We also had spring rolls, pork ribs, Three flavour Duck all lovely, special mention to the fried soft noodle how tasty. Well done guys

La Maison

If you consider yourself a foodie & have not visited this Restaurant yet then shame on you, the food was exceptional. Fresh and seasoned perfectly served with pride... and that is their right because its justified. They truly understood the voucher concept (an introduction) to a great food experience. Service food and value were all outstanding even if I was paying full price. By far the best Restaurant that Dublin has to offer, I have eaten in some of the so called greats but the food here beats them all, get here before you miss out on a fantastic food experience with a proper Chef & super staff. Thanks guys for a great night in a great spot... Five star all the way, hope your around for many a year. I would give you ten stars if it was available

Bridge Bar and Bistro
The Malting Tower,, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

We used a MenuPages deal and impressed is the word. We started with Scallops with cauliflower for me & Black pudding with a crispy hen's egg for him, both cooked perfectly. For mains we had the Porterhouse Steak (perfect) we had three sides Mash/chips/Salad, we couldn't fault anything. Brulee to finish, yum. The touch I liked the most was the plate of bread that they brought out, several types (all lovely). So many restaurants could learn from this one detail. Finally I have to mention the staff two lovely girls, thanks for a great evening ladies. We will be back :)

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Overall we enjoyed our meal. Chef soup & Garlic mushrooms (Warning!! 3 mushrooms, €6.45) followed by T-Bone steaks Garlic Potato or chips served with Peppercorn sauce. Both steaks were ordered medium... we got 1 rare 1 medium, nice but not what we ordered. The Garlic Potatoes had great flavour unfortunately they were still undercooked. It didn’t stop my partner from eating them but it left me slightly hungry. Sides are very expensive so we didn't bother, €4.45 for sautéed Onions! Madness! We used a Grabone voucher this made it great value €25 for €50 worth of food. I’m not so sure we would go back at full price. Staff are great, nice restaurant a little more attention is needed on the food but it does have promise.

The Italian Connection
95 Talbot Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here this evening using a voucher purchased on MenuPages. We had no problem booking at short notice and the staff were friendly on arrival. My partner started with the Prawns and I had the Mozzarella and Tomato salad. His Prawn dish was very tasty; the Mozzarella on my salad was not a standard I was used to, it was rubbery. We both opted for the Veal with Parma Ham, however it was smothered in a severely salty garlic butter substance which killed the flavour of the veal, it was served with FROZEN CHIPS. Profiteroles and Apple pie followed, both were quite nice, the coffee was lovely. For the Deal price we paid this was still good value however I don't believe I would go back on a full menu price.

The Italian Corner
23/24 Wellington Quay, Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

We used our MenuPages deal at this place last night, and it was a total pleasure. We started with the meat and cheese plate for him and a Tomatoe and Mozzarella salad for me. Both portions were surprising substantial and deliciously fresh. Lasagne and Burger were ordered for mains and I have to say that the burger one the day, it was mega tasty. I had to finish the meal with a sweet treat and I opted for the Profiteroles, yum. The portions size were super, we left feeling stuffed. The staff were lovely and welcoming and they the restaurant is warm and inviting. This restaurant is right on our doorstep and we will be.

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

This was my first outing to this highly rated eatery. My partner and I both opted for the early bird special (served all day Sunday) 19.95 for three courses. We went with the prawns to start, they were nice we then had the chef's special... I have no idea what this was called but it was similar to a giant spring roll stuffed with bits of chicken, chewing leather would have been easier, this thing was tough. It was served with chips (Frozen) two sauces and a little dressed salad. I would not avoid going in again but I would not go out of my way to go back. Ok value for money but not a dining experience.

La Maison

Chai Yo
100 Lower Baggot street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Three of us ate here, we picked it because it had been given the thumbs up on atmosphere.... and it was good. The food was above average the steak was the highlight.... mouthwatering delicious and tender tender tender. The chef was friendly and inclusive, participation was demanded required and given, fun was had by all. The only down was... we arrived halfway through a large party and their noise level was a little overbearing. A quieter evening would have been a better experience from our point of view as we felt like we were gate crashing their party. Looking forward to returning on a better planned evening. Recommended

Indian Brasserie
Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham Village, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Ate here with some friends the other night. We were availing of a voucher deal bought online for €24.99 for two. Food was nice but the service was very slow and disjointed. Not all the food showed up at the same time and by the time the naan bread arrived the curry had been eaten. I wouldn't hold this against them it might just have been the night that was in it, might be back.....
