I am a regular here, at least once a week for lunch! I've eaten quite a lot from the menu & find the selections very good as well as the portion sizes, I recommend the chicken wrap & the burger (which is quite large!). The bar fills up really quickly at lunch time its a pity the place isn't a bit bigger. It is good value for money! The Chili Club restaurant

I ate here about a month ago for the 1st (& probably the last) time. I ordered my usual Chicken Satay for starter & to say it was bland is an understatement. I ordered Pad Prik Neur/Gai for my main, which I would rate simply as average. Dessert was forgettable! The one server downstairs was quite unfriendly. There was absolutely no atmosphere at all. Overall it was a very disappointing experience.
Crystal Boat Restaurant
Gallery Quay, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
Upon a recommendation I visited boat & I was so disappointed. We were seated quickly without a reservation, the restaurant was quite busy. We were served almost as quick as we were seated which should have alarmed me - but it wasn't until I was more than half way through the chicken that I noticed it wasn't cooked to my liking. My lunch buddy loved his selection & wished there was more of it! Unfortunately for me the chicken was enough to keep me away from this restaurant.

Bar Italia (IFSC)
Lower Mayor Street, Custom House Square, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin
Have eaten here twice recently once for lunch & once for dinner after work and I found the food very tasty. On both occassions the restaurant was packed & we were served quickly. The pizza are large in size & the pasta is very tasty. It is good value for money. I certainly will return.

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin
Had a 3 course dinner here, started off with the Chicken Wings which were very tasty followed by the roast chicken which was a large sized portion but way too greasy, even the veg was over oily & greasy. I finished with the Strawberry Meringue which was delish. The service was fine & it would have been good value for money if the main course hadn't been so disappointing. Overall I'm not sure if I would return to this restaurant.
Chatham Brasserie
Chatham Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Ate here on Thursday night as part of a party of 8 & while the service wasn't brilliant - the food & wine were superb! The restaurant was extremely busy & the staff were kept going so it was a little difficult sometimes to catch their eye but when you did they were more than helpful. I had the salmon which was amazing - cooked to perfection I really was impressed. Others in my party dined on Monkfish (which looked very tasty), Chicken salad (which was a good sized salad) & fish & chips all of which received glowing reports. Desserts weren't as amazing - with the meringue & strawberries consisting of 99% strawberries & cream and very little meringue. All in all definitely worth a return visit.

The Brasserie at The Clayton Ballsbridge
Bewley's Hotel Ballsbridge, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
The food wasn't bad here at all - it arrived quickly & it was nice! There was absolutely no atmosphere here at all - it is just a space where they serve food! The service is just dreadful we spent a lot of the time here trying to catch someone's eye to order a drink to order food, to order dessert. Customer service is definitely a miss here.

Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin
Decided to use 2000 menu points & dine at Vermilion. We were seated immediately & the restaurant was very busy. Started off with Chicken Tikka Masala & Veg Samosa both of which were delish. Mains were Chicken Jalfrezi & Chicken Biryani both of which were tasty & well portioned! Service was excellent from beginning to end. Overall it was a great experience & will definitely return to this restaurant.
Montys of Rathgar
88 Rathgar Road, Rathgar, Dublin
Was looking forward to my first visit to this restaurant and I was not disappointed. I really have to comment on the service - it was excellent - the waiting staff were so attentive & helpful. I started off with deep fried prawns which were fine, but I probably wouldn't order them again! My dinner partner had beautiful spicy cubed potatoes & peas which I would definitely order next time! For mains we had TANDOORI BUTTER CHICKEN & CHICKEN BABARI with rice & Garlic Nan bread - we mixed & matched & we both found the mains plentiful & tasty. It was rounded off with Mango & Ice Cream. I found the restaurant a little pricey, but that wouldn't put me off returning again & again as I really enjoyed my visit!

Franzini's
Frenchs Lane, Trim, Meath
Was really looking forward to finally eating in this restaurant after all the wonderful things I heard about it. While we were a very large party (18) we were not the only large party at the restaurant that night, there was also a hen party. We were so disappointed with the service, they simply couldn't cope as the restaurant was packed to the brim. The food could not be faulted, I had the fajitas - the portion size was massive and the food delish. It was good value for money, if only they had more staff!

ely gastro bar
Grand Canal Square, (Next to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre), Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
Love this place for lunch! It is always recommended that you book a table even for lunch - just to be sure. The Chicken Burger is just delish. It is possibly a little too big for lunch, it is very tasty & comes with a side of fries & small salad. Have also tried the pasta which was disappointing if a not a bit bland! The pasta was not good value for money either. However, the burgers/meats/fish are good value for money & this restaurant is certainly worth a visit, based on these selections!

Bailey Bar @ Trim Castle Hotel
Castle St, Trim, Meath
Passing through Trim on Sat afternoon we decided to stop for a bite to eat. We were turned away from a restaurant as they didn't open until 5pm, so we wondered up to Trim Castle. We were directed into the bar which was v busy & handed the menu. For EUR19.99 we got a gorgeous 4 course meal, the sirlons were excellent quality meats. Overall I was very impressed & would certainly return to the bar for food. The waiting staff are so helpful & would not rush you out the door once you had finished your meal. Highly recommend this bar for food!

Milano (Grand Canal Harbour)
Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
Have eaten here a couple of times at lunch & you can't fault the food at all. I find the menu selection very good particularly the pollo verdure salad - very tasty! It is quite pricey though, but it is always busy at lunch time!

Ocean Bar

I am a regular here, at least once a week for lunch! I've eaten quite a lot from the menu & find the selections very good as well as the portion sizes, I recommend the chicken wrap & the burger (which is quite large!). The Front Door
High Street and Cross Street, The Latin Quarter, Galway City, Galway
Had a gorgeous lunch here last Saturday, the portion sizes were huge, really enjoyed the pasta. My dining buddies ordered a variety of lunches from the wide selections available on the menu. We thought Sonny's was great value for money & certainly worth a visit, even if the service was a little slow.

Imperial Hotel (Bar & Grill)
Eyre Square, Galway City, Galway
Ended up eating here twice in the one weekend as we were staying in the hotel! Had the beautiful chicken fajitas the first evening which were delish! The following evening we had the full works - soup which was deemed to be veg. but was more mushroom than veg. the beef which wasn't bad (a little bit too fatty for my liking) & a beautiful apple pie for afters. Overall, I thought it was a little bit pricey, but they don't scrimp on the portion sizes, the service was very good, both nights the restaurant & lounge areas were packed with diners of all ages.

Herbstreet
Hanover Quay, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin
I've been looking forward to trying this restaurant out, so I had lunch here recently. I found the service ok - our order was taken pretty quickly, drinks arrived quickly, but the food turnaround was a little slow when you only have an hour at your disposal. Both myself & my lunch buddy had the chicken piri piri burger & chips. The portion size was good, but there was some sort of minty sauce which we both agreed took from the chicken burger. The chicken quality was good & I found myself scraping the sauce (which was not piri piri like) from the chicken breast. The chips were lovely & perfectly salted! Overall I thought it was a little pricey for what we got!

Howards Way (Rathgar)
8 Orwell Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin
Love love love this restaurant. I have eaten here a couple of times for lunch & finally sampled the early bird menu. One Friday evening we were passing & on the off chance we dropped in to see if there was any availibility. We were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was bursting at the seams it was so busy. The service was really good and there is a wonderful atmosphere. I started off with the most tasty tiger prawns, followed by chicken & mash & cheesecake for desert. The portions are regular sized & we got a bottle of wine which was part of the early bird offer. All in all this is a great little spot which we certainly will be returning to!

Oriental Palace Chinese Restaurant & Take Away
Unit 1, 1/F Kennedy Road, Kennedy Centre, Navan, Meath
Had a double celebration in this restaurant last Sat night - a birthday & a wedding anniversary. I liked everything about the restaurant - the food, the service, the value for money & the space between each table. The restaurant was busy but the tables aren't packed together so you don't feel like you're having dinner with the couple at the next table. I had the satay chicken to start (while I did feel 2 skewers was a little small) the main course portion made up for the lack of a 3rd Skewer! Desert portions were favourable to the sweet tooth. I will certainly return to this restaurant & take away in the future.

Boulevard Cafe
27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Decided to spend my menu points here & I enjoyed the experience so much I have been back to the restaurant numerous times for lunch in the last couple of months! The food is excellent quality & the presentation is wonderful. The staff are attentive & very helpful. While I have eaten various dishes I keep reverting back to their delish salmon! They are very reasonably priced.

Shanahan’s on the Green
119 St. Stephens Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin
Went here for my b'day treat & really enjoyed it! Opted for the early bird - the only drawback was the limited starter selection. The steak was absolutely beautiful & the sides portions were quite large suitable for two! Service was good but I would have expected nothing less at this restaurant. Two complimentary glasses of champagne were a great gesture to toast my b'day!

South Street Restaurant
Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I have eaten here many times for lunch over the last year & I really enjoy it every time. Since the lunch menu was reduced to EUR8.95 for two courses the restaurant is often packed at lunch time. It is great value for money - large pizzas & very tasty pastas keep me coming back for more. Service is always prompt.

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Love it for dinner, love it for lunch - this place has maintained its standards over the years. The food is tasty & very reasonably priced. For dinner there is always a good buzz in the restaurant & at lunch it has a relaxed feel! I love the spud skins & chicken fajitas (portions sizes are on the big side for dinner). I have also tried the deep fried ice-cream while I wasn't a lover I think you need to try it for yourself to see as my friend really enjoyed it!

DIG IN
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin
Have eaten here 4 times in the last few months & I just can't get enough of the place. It is always packed. Eventhough the menu is a little limited I recommend the Chicken Supreme - it is very filling & the mash is just beautiful! The rhubarb crumble is to die for - make the portion size bigger I seriously could have eaten two of them! I found the service good & waiting staff helpful - they were very busy all times I was there.I will certainly return again & again!

Yamamori Noodles
71-72 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Delish food served fresh. Large sized portions offering value for money. Excellent service. Have returned here numerous times & will continue to do so!

Punjabi By Nature Indian Restaurants & Takeaway
15 Ranelagh Village, South Dublin, Ranelagh, Dublin
Have been looking forward to eating here for ages. We were seated in the middle of two other couples right in front of the window. I ordered a bottle of wine while we were browsing the menu. We decided not to go for starters as we were having deserts! We ordered two mains & waited for the food to arrive. Half an hour later & having called two different wait staff to enquire after our food - it finally arrived. Bottle of wine gone so ordered another one! Asked for additional sauce with main course - which arrived when main course was finished. Noted couples either side of us arrived after us & were served starters & mains before we were served...bottle of wine was more expensive than two mains! Having said all that the food was delish. Finished mains & had to call waiters again to remove plates (almost 15 mins after we finished) no one else seemed to be having these problems! I complained to waiter as I wanted to try their deserts but was left waiting far to long. They offered free deserts which was a nice touch but frankly it was too little too late. Might get a take out as the food is good but won't be hurrying back to the restaurant the service was dreadful.

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Disappointing to say the least. Upon recommendation from my lunch date we headed off to Darwins. I should have had a sambo or something before I went. Darwins are doing a lunch time special of a fixed menu & soft drink/glass of wine for EUR9.95 - soft drinks were flat -poured from 2ltr bottles! Ordered fish & chips x2 & I couldn't help but laugh when it arrived. They stacked skinny chips on top of each other - something which is usually reserved for chucky chips that fill you - not 5 skinny chips!!! We could just about find the cod inside the batter. To make the whole experience even more annoying the bill was brought over as soon as the plates were swiped away. I still had 'flat coke' left in my glass but this was swiftly removed with the plates. I pointed this out & the glass was returned with the waiters fingers inside...not impressed. They couldn't wait to get our money & get rid of us - we couldn't wait to get out of this place & get some snacks! Will most definitely not be returning.

Dunderry Lodge Restaurant
Robinstown, Navan, Trim, Meath
Once one of the nicest restaurants in the county what a difference a couple of years make. I was so disappointed with my recent visit to this restaurant. We were seated outside by the fire where we ordered our drinks & looked at the menu (this is the usual practice for the restaurant). Half an hour later after ordering our food from our fire side chairs I began to wonder would we be eating our dinners on our laps beside the fire so I asked to be seated again. 3/4 of an hour later I asked again about our table. Finally we were seated & our starters brought almost immediately. As I looked around there were only two other tables occupied. I wondered what the delay was in seating us! I was surprised it was so empty as it was the Oct bank holiday. The main course arrived BLAND BLAND BLAND dreadful food - cover it in gravy it would seem to try to give the food taste. Absolutely shocking that they serve up such dreadful food! And then there was the desert - Pavalova my favourite - how could you go wrong? Believe me you can in this restaurant. I really had to say something & ended up speaking to the manager. Frankly the offer of another pavalova just didn't work for me, as it was going to taste the exact same as apparently it was a particular receipe that the chef uses! I couldn't get out of this restaurant quick enough - I was starving anyway! Zero for atmosphere, food, service, value.

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin
Ate here last night for the first time & I was delighted with the experience. The service was very good & the food was delish! Was a little disappointed with the desert selection but the ice cream was gorgeous! Excellent value for money in both food & cocktails. Will certainly be returning!!!

The Village
26 Wexford Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Not bad are the only words I can think of to describe the Village. Eaten here a couple of times for lunch as its a handy option. Tried Salads, Soups & all were fairly ok. Service can be slow sometimes especially around 1pm rush hour!! Sitting down the back is very dimly lit - fine for evening drinks but I like to see what I'm eating.

Bobo's Gourmet Burgers (Wexford St)
22 Wexford Street (Beside Whelans), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Not a big 'burger lover' but I ventured in here for lunch & was pleasantly surprised. Ordered a chicken burger & chips. Savage is the only word to describe the burger - it was huge. Good value for money too I could barely hold the burger in both hands!!!! The chips came in a lovely little bucket & yes as previous reviews said they were a little greasy but absolutely fine! The staff were v friendly too which is always nice touch. Quite a small pokey place with high stools but it is what it is - a mid range burger joint - but you know this the minute you walk in the door - so you're hardly mislead about it!!!!

Eatery 120
120 Ranelagh Road, Ranelagh, Dublin
Ate here on a Wednesday night & was plesantly surprised with the buzzing atmosphere that was in the restaurant. Staff were extremely helpful if a little slow! I found the wine list & menu very limited. I noted only one veggie option for the main course. I ordered the chicken which came with potatoes/chips - it cost EUR23.00 which I find a little excessive considering I had to order a separate portion of veg. The veg were EUR4.00 & plentiful. I had the raspberry pavalova for desert & was so disappointed to receive a nest on about 8 raspberries. I usaully love any type of pavalova but a little bit of effort please!!!!! I don't think I'll be returning to this restaurant anytime soon!

Hugo's
6 Merrion Row, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Dined here on Friday night. The food was delish. Delighted with the extensive selection of wine! The cheesecake was disappointly bland which after such a beautiful main course was surprising. Waiting staff were v helpful recommending wine & dishes. I was not impressed with the bill being dropped at our table without it being asked for or indeed clearly being "rushed" to put on our coats once we had paid. We had been advised that we had the table until 9.30 -the bill was dropped to us at 8.50 while finishing our wine! The "coat thing" was simply rude. The unprofessionalism of the "front of house" left a sour taste in our mouths as we left the restaurant.
The Vaults
(Under Connolly Station) IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin
It has been over a year since I had lunch here & in the past I found the service a bit hit & miss. I have to say yesterday I was delighted with the food & the service. I ordered the Chicken Bap which was just delish. It was presented with 3 wedges (previous reviewers have commented on the small portion) but the wedges are very large & as a side they are very filling. I thought it to be good value for money also. Will certainly be returning here when I'm in the area.

Lagoona Bar & Restaurant
Mayor Square, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin
How this place has changed in a year. I used to eat here a lot when I worked in the IFSC & I returned here during the week on a recent visit to the IFSC. I ordered a wrap & I am not joking it was the smallest wrap I have ever seen!! With no crisps / side salad on offer it was a very sad looking lunch offering! Within a year the wrap has gone up over a €1 in price considering I didn't get meat on the wrap I think almost €6 is a lot for a small salad wrap.

The Harbour Master Restaurant & Bar
Custom House Dock, I.F.S.C Dublin 1, IFSC, Dublin
Over priced for what you get. I left the Harbourmaster feeling hungry after a lunch time visit. Very disappointing overall.
Siam Thai (Andrews Street)
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin
I love Siam Thai in Dundrum so I thought that Andrew St would be pretty similar! How wrong I was - there is absolutely no atmosphere in this restaurant, the food portions were so much smaller & drier. The waiting staff seemed to be bored. I was really disappointed.

Rotana Cafe Restaurant
31 South Richmond Street, Dublin 2, Portobello, Dublin
Visited this restaurant last Friday lunch time. It was my first time eating Lebanese food. I opted for the Chicken Shawarma (roasted thin slices of chicken wrapped in naan bread) this came with a side salad. The chicken was quite tasty but the Naan was quite difficult to cut. The service was good & it was reasonably priced.

Seagrass of Portobello Bridge
30 South Richmond Street, Dublin 8, Portobello, Dublin
Dined here last night a part of a party of 10. The food is just delish. The majority of people opted for the Early Bird Menu which is quite extensive & very reasonably priced at €20 for two courses. Even though my starter was quite disappointing (Bacon with a caramelized sauce) the main course more than made up for it. Everyone was more than satisfied with the food - presentation & portion sizes were excellent. The overall experience was impressive however, the only negative was the unbelievable heat in the restaurant. Granted it was a humid evening but even though we were beside the door, the air con was on & there were numerous fans (down the end of the restaurant) we were quite uncomfortable with the heat. I certainly would return to this restaurant just not on a hot/humid day.

La Mezzanine @ Ardboyne Hotel
Dublin Road, Navan, Meath
I've eaten here numerous Sunday's for the Family Sunday Lunch. It's a great hotel which is always very busy. Usually it's a great selection of food served well but the last couple of visits myself & my family have noticed a decline in the quality of food served. For me it was the salmon - one week tender the next two weeks it was so dry & over cooked. For my dad there was a incident with a hair in his food. We brought this to the managers attention & he was more than nice about it. He offered a replacement dish / full refund for all of us. We will return in the future to the restaurant but not exactly sure when.

The Barge
Charlemont Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
This place is good for a quick bite at lunch time. It has both a salad / soup bar & carvery. I have eaten here numerous times for lunch & find them generous with their portions.

Siam Thai (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin
Finally got to visit this restaurant last Wed night & it was everything I expected & more. The service was excellent - prompt & helpful. The food was gorgeous & the wine selection extensive - had the usual Chicken Satay for starter followed by Chicken in Cashew Nuts & Noodles - my partner had a chicken & veg dish which he enjoyed. Desserts were beautiful & fresh. Looking forward to returning to this restaurant.

Ryan's & F.X. Buckley Steakhouse Parkgate Street
28 Parkgate Street, Dublin 8, City Centre South, Dublin
Missed a train one wet Friday afternoon & I decided to venture outside the train station for some food. I was delighted with FXB's offerings. I had the chicken c. salad & it was delish. The fries are gorgeous. I thought it was reasonably priced as good sized portions were served. Would certainly return here if I was in the area again!

Cafe Bliss
4B Montague Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
One word to describe this restaurant - EXCELLENT! I often wondered why people queue in the rain to get into this restaurant & after my first visit I know why. Ordered the cajun chicken wrap which when it arrived in itself was quite large but topped off with the side of chips & salad it was a massive lunch dish. It was tasty & excellent value for money. Not to mention the complemtary garlic bread that is served while you wait for your order. I left the restaurant satisfied & looking forward to my next visit!

Riverside Restaurant @ Kilkenny River Court Hotel
Kilkenny River Court Hotel, The Bridge, John Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny
Ate here a couple of weeks ago as part of a very large hen party (28 in total) & I found the food absolutely delish. I ordered a veg. tartlet for starter which was quite dry & a little disappointing however I had possibly the best main course. The chicken was beautiful & tender dressed in a very tasty sauce. The desert was by far the best course - we're still talking about it!!! A raspberry Meringue delight. Would without a doubt return here for the gorgeous food & fantastic service.

The Grill Room
Kilkenny Inn Hotel, Vicar Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny
Stayed in this hotel & ventured down to the bar for something to eat. The menu selection was quite good & the party I was dining with seemed to enjoy their burgers, salad & fish selections. I fancied a toasty but it wasn't on the menu but the hotel were willing to make me whatever toasty I liked & finished it off with chips & a side salad. Portions were good in size & it was v reasonable.

The Russell Restaurant
15 Ludlow Street Navan, Navan, Meath
Enjoyed a recent dinner here. The food & wine were divine. The service was a little hit & miss - more attention could be given by the waiting staff. Even though the staff were standing right in front of us for most of the evening none of them saw fit to refill our glasses once. Also when we declined tea/coffee we were asked if we wanted the bill! Considering we both had at least 1/2 glass of wine left to drink (which was poured ourselves!!!) I wasn't impressed. Having said all of that I like what the Russell is trying to create - I think with a more polished waiting staff it really could be a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Navan. I look forward to returning.

Pacinos
18 Suffolk Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Ate here for the first time two weeks ago! The waitress was more than helpful. The food was delish. Both myself & my dinner buddy had the pasta which were good sized portions - I did order a side portion of veg which really had seen better days (this is my only negative) desserts were gorgeous. Definitely worth a return visit.

Thai Orchid (Navan)
Above The Diamond Cinema, Metges Lane, Off Kennedy Road, Navan, Meath
What a beautiful restaurant! Ate here on Sat night & I was very impressed. The service & food quality were second to none! Good value for money also. Will certainly be returning here in the future.

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Recently had Menu Points to spend so off I went to La Caverna. We were seated downstairs where it was quite busy & there appeared to be only one waiter. Service was a little slow but the waiter was very friendly! The food was absolutely delish. Potato skins for starters & Pasta in a very tasty tomato & basil sauce. The Lasagne also received the thumbs up. The cheesecake looked nicer than it actually tasted which was a little disappointing. Overall this restaurant is definitely worth a return visit.

TriBeCa
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin
Ate here last Thurs night for the first time & I will certainly be returning. I was impressed with the service & the helpfulness of the staff. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken with a side of fries & it was all delish! Desserts are very tasty too!!

Little Caesars (Harcourt Street)
The Harcourt Hotel, 59 Harcourt Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Ate here yesterday on a "team lunch". Starters were on the larger side which was good considering the chicken dishes were quite small. Perhaps if the plates were smaller...having said that I ordered Pasta & a side salad which was a good size & very tasty. Overall service was prompt & prices are reasonable! Worth a lunch time visit!

C Central Bar @ The Camden Court Hotel
The Camden Court Hotel, Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
This is a handy option if you work in the area, but I wouldn't recommend the CAJUN CHICKEN CIABATTA. I have eaten here twice in the last two weeks. The first time I had the CAJUN CHICKEN CIABATTA which the group I was having lunch with laughed at. I nice piece of chicken arrived on what could only be described as half a bap on quite a large plate. There was no side salad or a side order of fries. It was unbelievable that they charge over EUR 7.00 for this! I ate here again (not through choice) on Monday & was delighted with the delish serving of the soup & gorgeous brown bread. The jury is still out on whether I would return of my own choice...

The Bank on College Green
20-22 College Green, City Centre South, Dublin
Really enjoyed my dinner here last night. I ordered the Chicken Thai Curry - delish!!!! The big chunky home made fries are gorgeous too. Good value for money even if service was a little slow.

The Market Bar
Fade Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Dined here on Sat afternoon & food was very good. Reasonably priced too. Definitely worth a return visit! Could do with a bit of music in the background!
Kobra
Leeson Court Hotel, 26/27 Leeson Street Lower, City Centre South, Dublin
Excellent spot for lunch! Great menu selection, good value for money, prompt service! Tried the Salmon Salad - delicious. All food delivered to surrounding tables looked gorgeous! Worth a return visit.

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Ate here last nite & the jury is still out!! I felt the menu was limited but the dishes we selected were delicious! I like the dark candlelit cosy feel of the restaurant however, I must have been given the worst seat in the house! People kept hitting off my chair as they frequently passed by (including the waiting staff). The wine was gorgeous & our waitress was extremely helpful & friendly.

The Dropping Well
Classon's Bridge, Milltown, Milltown, Dublin
Pleasantly surprised with the food in this restaurant as it is delicious. Dined on Oriental Chicken & Veg stir fry with Noodles, topped off with a lovely bottle of white. My dinner buddy had the steak with Chips & veg which was also delicious apparently. Desserts are huge. Lovely seats over looking the river. Certainly worth a return visit.

Gate Restaurant
32/33 Trimgate Street, Navan, Navan, Meath
Dropped in here a couple of times while shopping in Navan. If you're lucky to get a seat the food is really good for a quick, tasty bite to eat. It's reasonable for the centre of the town.

Cafe en Seine
39 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin
Really enjoyed lunch here today. Soup of the day - Sweet Pepper - Delicious & Cajun Wrap - very tasty (would have been more enjoyable perhaps if wrap was heated). Good Value for money. Loads of seats inside eventhough it was very busy! Worth a return visit.

Milano (Dawson Street)
38 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin
Try the Pollo Astra Pizza it is delicious. Excellent service our waitress was prompt, friendly & informative about the restaurant's wine selection. The restaurant itself I thought could do with a lick of paint on the inside & ladies toilets upstairs left a lot to be desired. Neither points would stop me from returning to this restaurant.

Valley Cafe
43 Watergate Street Navan, Navan, Meath
Best Chipper in the County Meath. Restaurant & Take Away always packed. Excellent quality food. Try their whole onion rings...delicious.

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
The early bird is good value for money. Food is tasty but a somewhat limited selection on the early bird menu. When eating in this restaurant I always ask for cheese on my garlic bread & I am always refused. How difficult can it be to melt some cheese?

Zucchini's Restaurant
18-20 Blackcastle Square, Navan, Meath
Absolutely delicious! Great atmosphere - good selection of food - value for money. Worth a return visit.

Marios (Ranelagh)
39 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin
Overall I left the restaurant with a disappointed feeling. It started when we were promptly ignored for about 5 mins before being seated. We would have left but the weather outside was dreadful! The staff were prompt in taking our order but that's where it ended. Our order was mixed up with another table which resulted in my dish having to be re-made. The others in my party were practically finished & I still hadn't received my dish nor had any of us rec'd the side orders. Opinions on food quality in my party was mixed but I really enjoyed my pizza when it finally arrived. Trying to catch someone's eye 10 mins after we had finished our main course was a problem. I had to ask the staff to clear away our main course so we could order dessert. The service in this restaurant was a complete disappointment.

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I loved this restaurant. I ate here two weeks ago & it really lived up to my expectations. Everything from service, to menu selection, to food & wine quality was excellent. I loved their large wine glasses! Definitely worth a return visit!

Kafka (Dublin)
236 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin
Ate here 2 wks ago & had mixed reviews about it. Service was very good but the food was a little disappointing. I had the spring rolls which were very greasy for starter followed by the chicken burger & very undercooked looking chips. My dinner buddy couldn't get enough of the hearty soup for starter & burger & chips for the main course.Overall it was good value for what we got.

Solas (Wexford St)
31 Wexford Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Excellent - sums up this little gem of a restaurant. Went here for lunch with a group of 16 people - ordered the Chicken Vegetable Enchilada which came with chips & salad. Delicious. Service was excellent, great selection of music, excellent value for money. I will certainly be returning to taste some of the other wonderful dishes.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin
Delicious! Absolutely delicious! Our party got a good mixture of starters - Chicken Goujons with Rocket Aioli is quite a large portion & the Spicy Marinara Mussels are gorgeous! The Chicken Fajitas are tasty but definitely overpriced! My greatest recommendation is the Sinful Raspberry Cream Cheesecake. It is possibly the best cheesecake I have eaten! I will certainly be returning to this restaurant.

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Went here with two friends for lunch & the restaurant was not busy but it was difficult to get the waitress' attention. We waited forever for our "plastic" overpriced food. I need say no more.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
One word to describe this restaurant: Fantastic. The waiter was very friendly & helpful - the food was delicious & reasonably priced topped off with a good atmosphere I will certainly be returning again & again to this place!

Pizza Stop
6/10 Chatham House, Chatham Lane, Off Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin
After reading all the reviews on this site I was looking forward to my pizza last Thursday night. I did feel that the tables were packed together but I didn't find it off putting at all. I was, however, a little disappointed with the restaurant overall. The food was only average for me as I have tasted better Italian pizza. I found the waiting staff were dying to get us in, fed & out the door in a very short time. While trying to browse the menu 3 waiters came over to take our order even though we had only been in the restaurant 10 mins or so. Our plates disappeared even when we were still chewing our last bit of food! The same thing happened when we were chosing dessert. The restaurant was quite busy but there were a couple of vacant tables so it wasn't as if other customers were waiting for our seats! The staff were quite pleasant but making the customer feel rushed is never a good thing!

Surma
43 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin
A party of 10 on a work night out were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The food was delicious - good selections on the menu & the portions were generous! The staff were attentive & helpful. Definitely worth a return visit!!!!

Thai Orchid (Dublin)
7 Westmoreland Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Ate here last night - overpriced bland food. Good atmosphere, staff relatively friendly, overall this restaurant is just not worth a visit.

La Pizza
14/15 Upper O'Connell Street, City Centre North, Dublin
Handy for a quick bite before/after Savoy - Pizza is ok loaded with cheese but nothing to write home about! Good sized portions reasonable prices but nothing that would make you linger in the restaurant any longer than necessary.

Busyfeet & Coco Cafe
41- 42 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin
Busy little cafe delighted to get a seat by the window & open doors after work yesterday! Recommend the Mediterranean veg quesadilla wrap - it comes with a side salad & a side order of Sweet Chilli Sauce...delicious! Resisted Dessert but they looked gorgeous!

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
After hearing lots of good reviews I finally visited this restaurant for lunch last Monday. We went before 1pm in the hope of securing a space (as you can't book). I was pleasantly surprised by the bench seating & would not be put off by them at all (once you understand that its not your typical 'rosemantic' restaurant set up). I ordered the Chicken Chilli Men, which I was deeply disappointed with. The noodles were great but the chicken was just so fatty & black I spent too much time dissecting it & not enough time enjoying it (I only had an hour for lunch after all). We ordered some tofu as an extra between us - but it never arrived & it was impossible to get the servers attention. Maybe in the future I will return to try something else on the menu but there are many other restaurants to try first!

Sandbar
193 Clontarf Road, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin
Ate here last Thursday night & thankfully we booked as people were being turned away constantly due to 'no room at the inn'. This popular little restaurant is gaining a good name for itself - with great food & a good atmosphere! Delighted that they are expanding next door. The pizza was delicious topped off with a lovely bottle of white wine. Good value for money & worth a return visit.

Casa Pasta (Clontarf)
55 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin
You will always need to reserve a table (even on Mon & Tues nights!) I like Casa Pasta's relaxed atmosphere - a place for all the family, for couples, for friends whatever. Great value for money. My only moan about it is that it’s too small!!!! Recommend pizza but highly recommend the Pan Fried Chicken - it is so filling & tasty!

Tante Zoes
1 Crow Street, Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin
I can't fault this restaurant at all. Nice to be able to sit in the bar area & have a drink while you wait for others to arrive. Service was attentive. Food (Blackened Salmon - A darne of salmon seasoned with Cajun spices, blackened and served with a meuniere sauce) was absolutely gorgeous! I was torn between the salmon & the chicken another member of my party had the chicken - it smelt & tasted delicious. Definitely worth a return visit!

Kudos Restaurant (IFSC)
Clarion Hotel Dublin, IFSC, City Centre North, Dublin
I recently had lunch here & I am always impressed with the food quality (the Chicken Chow Mein was delicious) as well as the service (excellent turnaround time for those on an hour lunch). The portions are quite generous. There is always a good (busy) atmosphere in the restaurant.

Diep le Shaker
55 Pembroke Lane, (Off Pembroke Street), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
My 1st visit to Diep Le Shaker has guaranteed numerous return visits. Being almost 20mins late for the booking I rang the restaurant who assured me this would not be a problem (I had reservations about this as we only had the table for 2hrs!) I had Satay Gai for starter, which was delicious! For main I had Chicken Phad Thai, which was just as good (if not better) than in Bangkok! The selection of Sorbet was most enjoyable. Service was excellent. After dinner we still had time to relax & enjoy finishing our bottle of wine.

The Chili Club
Anne's Lane, South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I ate here about a month ago for the 1st (& probably the last) time. I ordered my usual Chicken Satay for starter & to say it was bland is an understatement. I ordered Pad Prik Neur/Gai for my main, which I would rate simply as average. Dessert was forgettable! The one server downstairs was quite unfriendly. There was absolutely no atmosphere at all. Overall it was a very disappointing experience.
