Carrolls Gastro pub
1-2 Demense View, Main Street, Lucan, Dublin

First time here, Steak on the stone was so tender and melted in your mouth. I got steak on the stone before somewhere else but this was so much better. The goat cheese starter is more-ish. Good atmophere, nice smoking area, friendly staff. Cocktails are lovely. I would come here again.

Taylors Three Rock
Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Great Deals on food, portions are big though. I was there today and had they chicken burger and drink deal for €10.00. I asked for no bun and instead of chips I got veg and they gave it to me that way too. Which was great most pubs wouldn't care what way you ask for your food to be served. The staff were very friendly. The place has a old Ireland feel to it with exposed brick and wood which was lovely and historical decor around which is interesting to look at. I had there burger on a Wednesday before too, an let me tell you it is a beast! You wont go hungry eating here. Relaxing place to have few drinks and some good grub.

Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill
1 Belmont Ave, Dublin 4, Donnybrook, Dublin

We are big fans of Marco Pierre White so, we decided to try his place for the first time, and it will be our last. Busy or not we felt a bit forgotten about. We arrived on time for 8:30pm and were seated with menus. Around 8:45pm we were given bread and still no order taken for food or wine. We began to time the service due to waiting so long for attention. It was not until 9:15pm did someone ask us for our order. We had the manger serve us, who I will say was very good on getting the kitchen to accommodate my allergies. At 9:30pm we finally got wine on our table, and at 9:40pm we got our starter. I had the scallops which were very nice, my partner had the kipper pate with Irish whiskey, He found the portion too large for a starter and it was bland and did really taste of anything, except the layer of butter on the top. We both had the Ribeye which was very tender and cooked the way we wanted. The sides were quite large though that came with the meal. My Partner found that a lot of his stuff was smothered in butter, it was just a little too much. I had none due to allergies. I will say the decor and atmosphere was very nice and the jazz music playing was a nice touch. We decided to leave after our main due to service and not being entirely happy with the food. Maybe we were expecting more because of the name of the Chef on the restaurant. We were a little disappointed about the whole experience with service and food, I hope someone else has a better experience than we did, we expected good things from here because of reviews that we read but came out of dinning experience wishing we chose somewhere else.

We come here every year for my birthday. It is a wonderful place. They remember us every year which is so nice. The waiting staff are brilliant. The were very helpful, when I when I couldn't decide what main to go with. The waiter helped me make my decision, by simply pointing out that you can get beef and duck any time. So I went with the venison. The waiter also picked out a wonderful wine for us, from my description of what I look for in a wine. The food has never disappointed us. We always love every bite, and we are left wanting more! I can't recommend this place enough. It is worth every cent. See you this December.

We went here for our anniversary yesterday. We had a fabulous meal. The waiters are very attentive, and the chef was very accommodating to allergies I have. My partner got the rib eye steak, he said it was amazing! The sear on the steak was the best we have ever seen. I had the lamb belly, it was very tender. It had mint taste right the way through the lamb belly. Everything was just perfect, from the appetizers to the dessert, this place is awesome! Ticks all the boxes in atmosphere-food-service.
