We like to go to Alfies as they have 5 Euro Cocktails and they are actually quiet tasty. The food is always nice and they have big portions but lately the food is a bit over priced, which was very disappointing last time we went there..... I wouldn't go there for a romantic dinner tho as it seems to be more a party location for groups but in general its a nice place to go out for dinner with friends!

Salamanca

My boyfriend and me wanted to go to salamanca for a while already, as we both love tapas. We ordered a jug of Sangria, as I love it, it was very dissapointing, no fresh fruits inside and it tasted more like a mulled wine...which we later on also saw on their shelf...!!!??? Well..its not that difficult to make sangria, anyway. We were really hungry and wanted to order 4 Tapas each, the waiter looked at us very strange and said it would be way to much...well we thought the portions must be very big then so we ordered only 3 each...I only can say if you are really hungry 3Tapas each is not enough! ;) when we finished we wanted to eat it all again (kind of a good sign i suppose),..I think a must have in Salamaca are the Prawns pil pil...Yum Yum! :D All in all its a bit to expensive for the size of the portions but very tasty.

Hush Brasserie

We went to Hush on a very busy saturday with no reservation. A very friendly gentlemen came straight to the door to greet us. The restaurant was full and had no table free but he said we would get a table in 10 min if we would like to wait. It looked so nice so we sat down and 10min later we got our table. We ordered a lovely red wine. The steaks were absolutely tasty and amazing! We can really recomend Hush Brasserie and will come back soon! :D

Paulie's Pizza

For my boyfriend and me the BEST place in dublin to have proper italian pizza. The Restaurant is lovely, with the kitchen and the bar in the restaurant the atmosphere is superb. The staff is very friendly, fast and helpfull. The taste of the food is just absolutely amazing, its seldom that you can say starters, mains and desserts are evenly perfect. Also the coffee and the wine are great! :) Its hard to get a table because it is always full but the staff is so nice and always trys to get a table for you. We truly love Paulie's!

Locks Brasserie

We only reserved a table an hour before we went there on a monday night. It was quite busy and we thought we wouldnt get a nice table but we got a window table with a great view!!! The food was absolutely amazing!!! The service was very good!! Atmosphere brilliant!!! Great expierience, we loved Locks!!!!

We were dining at Ciao on a saturday, I booked a table at the window with a voucher. The service was super nice and said its no problem at all. We had a 6 course tasting menu. It was very nice and the portions were absolutly huge, slightley too big. I have to say the mussles were the BEST I ever had! The main and desserts were a bit dissapointing as they were a bit tasteless. But the biggest shocker was that they sold the DUNNES Prosecco (in Dunnes 6,99) for 32,00 EURO!!!!!! Very dissapointing compared to the rest!!! Atmosphere and Service were super tho!

Il Segreto

I had dinner with my boyfriend in the "Il segreto" yesterday. And I have to say it was absolutley beautiful. I think it was the best dinner I had in ages! The service was fantastic..outstanding, the food was a bit "coldish" but still lovely and really tasty. They have a lovely smoking area upstairs, the supervisor (?) brought us up when we finished our dinner, he was really friendly. We definitly will come back to this place and we will recommend this place!!

il Divo Restaurant

We went to "Il Divo" on a quiet Sunday night. We got a lovely table, the atmosphere is really nice and the food choice is great aswell. Orderd starters and main courses, starters were really good, the pizza could be a bit more tasty. We got prosecco and pinot grigio, both really good!!! As it was my boyfrieds birthday, I asked the server if they can do something nice for him for dessert. They came over with candles and Tiramisu and sang Happy Birthday, which was really really cute!!!! We will come back again, just because of the good and lovely service and the value of food&drinks. Thanks to the whole team, who made our night special!!!

Taste of Emilia

This place is like a little treasure!!!! The Atmosphere is brilliant, like you know it from italy. The food is amazing was there for dinner and lunch and it is just lovely.The drinks are fabulous, tried the lambrusco (not sweet) and have to say never had such a nice one before! Just one tiny thing, somethimes its a lillte bit cold inside but its actually not a big deal! The Staff is really friendly and funny!! I will come definitive back with more friends and can really recomend the "Taste of Emilia"!!!!

Purple Ocean Restaurant

We went there on a saturday night, when we came into the Restaurant the Supervisor or Host did not even say good evening to us. (looked like he had a bad day) He seated us at a really nice table, the cutlery was dirty but the view to the sea brilliant. We orderd a bottle of prosecco and food, the girl who served us was really confused but at least friendly. Nobody of the service was ever topping up the drinks or would ask you for more drinks. The starters were fine I orderd a medium steak as main. When my steak arrived I had to send it back 3! times, as the temperature of the steak was never right....the service and the supervisor seemed very annoyed....of course my Boyfriend was finished with his well done steak ages ago when I finally got my steak, I wasnt even hungry anymore. We just wannted to have a nice evening with nice food and friendly and attentive service. At least it would have been nice, to get coffee or a dessert as an apology, but no! I have to say, we are very dissapointed of this place and will definitely not come back!!!!
