Went here with a friend and we sat in the beer garden during the day with a couple of drinks and then decided we would order some food. Because we were outside and it was a nice day, there was a bbq and that was the only menu available on the terrace. I was appalled at the service when I went up and asked for some chips, the server tried to charge me 5 euro for a tiny portion of chips (even though my friend had just ordered some for 2 euro) and 4 euro for a garnish of salad. When I said politely that my friend had just ordered chips for 2 euro, I was told 'well it's not my fault, chips aren't even on the menu, I was just trying to be bloody nice', when I told the server there was no need to be so rude, he said 'sorry and cut the price of the chips down to 3' so I decided to leave it at that and rejoin my friend. When we were leaving we were yelled at by the doorman because we went out the wrong door. I am very sad about this as it has the potential to be a great place, it's in a great location, the staff just need some better people skills.

Tamara Restaurant
Unit 11/18 Belgard Square, Tallaght Town Centre, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin

Went here for a late lunch on Sunday. The restaurant itself it nicely laid out, however I felt the staff were very unfriendly, it felt like we were an inconvenience being there. The waiter appeared rude and uninterested. On the up side, the food was really tasty and pretty good value so I would go back here again. When we left the waiter seemed a little friendlier which just gave us the impression he was happy we were going! If they step up their welcoming skills, I think they will do even better!

Royal Thaiger
Main Street, Naas, Kildare

Went here the other night. The atmosphere of the place is nice enough, music is a bit random with lots of 80s hits! The menu is actually dearer than what is on here. I felt it was pretty dear for what you got and the food was just okay. I also thought the main course portions were quite small, they give you more rice than they do a main course. I wouldn't be too fussed going back here but it's not the worst place I've been.

Charming Noodles
105 Parnell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here on a menupages deal and it was great. First off the voucher was such good value. The glasses of wine were way above the average amount and the food portions were great sizes. I found the staff quite friendly and the food tasted pretty good. The only thing that I found a little weird was when you use the bathroom, there's a sign saying not to put any toilet paper in the toilet. They should really get that sorted out!

profile_review

Dada Restaurant
45 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here on a voucher, it was clearly laid out what we were entitled to but the restaurant told us they had since changed things (even though voucher holders weren't notified) the staff were extremely rude and the manager even said 'give them their bill as soon as they're finished'. The food was nice, but the service was just so bad it really put me off.

Café Oasis
54 King Street North, Smithfield, Dublin

I've been here two times now and I really like this place. They have a very diverse menus so there is something to suit everyone. The staff and friendly and you can bring your own wine, it's pretty affordable too!

Wings Gourmet Burger
Unit C, 46/49, Opposite Gresham Hotel, O'Connell St, Dublin

Went here for breakfast, the food was okay but the waitress who wasn't very friendly didn't understand our order and got it wrong and then looked put out when she had to correct it. The place itself is quite nice, but the staff could do with some customer service training.

Hungry Mexican Restaurant @ Bodkins Bar
Bodkins Bar, 57 Bolton Street, City Centre North, Dublin

This place is amazing! The menu is great and has vegetarian AND vegan options`! The owners are really lovely and we had a nice chat with them. This would be an ideal place for people who are vegetarian but have friends that eat meat, there is something to suit everyone on the menu!

profile_review

Chez Max (Palace Street)
1 Palace Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This was my first time here, it's a nice place and there are a lot of French customers so that is always a good sign for me! The waiter told me the French Onion Soup was Vegetarian but I was a bit dubious about that! They are excellent at refilling your water and asking if you need more drinks etc without a long wait.

profile_review

YO Sushi Clarendon St
Brown Thomas, Clarendon St, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Yo Sushi is a great little place to grab a bite to eat if you're in a hurry. It's Japanese fast food, so not very authentic but still pretty tasty. The free miso refills is great, however the prices are a bit high, although they have some good offers on their supersaver menu.

profile_review

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Nice restaurant, I thought the starters were a little dear for what they are. I like the decor and the staff are friendly enough

profile_review

Skylon Hotel Bar & Grill
Dublin Skylon Hotel, Upper Drumcondra Road, North Dublin, Drumcondra, Dublin

Nice place and friendly staff. There isn't a long wait for the food which is good if you're in a rush at lunchtime. Nice if you're in the area.

profile_review

Umi Falafel - Dame St
13 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I love this place!!! The food is absolutely amazing and it is such good value it's nearly ridiculous. All the falafel is made up fresh. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. I will definitely be going back here!

profile_review

La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar
12 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

The food here is nice, however it is a little pricey for what it is. I found it really disturbing that they have gold fish in a tiny glass box under each table, it just seems so cruel considering they have no space to move and this completely put me off going here again.

profile_review

Sseduced Raw Food
20 Cecelia St, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here for the tasting menu with a groupon voucher. The food was nice but the service was very slow and they forgot to give us one of our dishes. The windows are all fogged up with condensation which I didn't like. I think they just need to do things a little faster. It does have potential, whether or not they improve I don't know. I did think the groupon voucher was dear for what we got

profile_review

Damson Diner
52 South William St, South William Street, Dublin

I went here on a Friday night. It took a very long time for the food to arrive and then when it did, it seemed everything seemed to be smothered with lime (dips, sauces etc) I found the food pretty dry and not all that enjoyable. They have some nice cocktails here, I would recommend it for a few drinks but not sure it's the best place to eat. I wouldn't be interested in going back

profile_review

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I went here for lunch. I found the food really tasty and affordable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. I always thought this was a very expensive place anytime I passed but they seem to do some great deals.

profile_review

KC Peaches Cafe Dame St
54 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Nice place to come in for a coffee and a bite to eat. The portions are pretty big too which is nice for a change! The staff are nice and friendly, we weren't able to finish our food but the nice waiter gave us take away boxes so we could take it home. The atmosphere is nice and it's great to sit upstairs with the nice view over Dame Street. We ordered from the evening menu so I can't comment on the daily menu in this KC Peaches, but overall it's a nice place and I would go back

profile_review

Cafe Topolis
37 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Nice menu and very good value. The staff are pleasant and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. You're not waiting too long for food and they have some great early bird bargains! Suitable for all tastes and diets

profile_review

7 (Seven) Social Restaurant
76 Benburb Street, Smithfield, City Centre North, Dublin

I found the staff to be very friendly. The food was nice and tasty, the only thing is if you are coming here, don't be in a rush. I am assuming everything is cooked to order and this is why it takes some time, so if you're not in a rush it's definitely a nice place to try. We went here on a voucher so it was good value but I did think that the menu looked a bit pricey, but the quality of food is of a high standard.

profile_review

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here this evening on a voucher. The staff are nice and friendly. The place seems to be a little bit on top of each other, we had to talk loudly to hear each other as we could already hear everyone else's conversation and the kitchen being so visible is a little odd. The food was nice, I got the fajitas, if you don't like spicy, tell them this before you order! The waiter asked me if I wanted some grated cheese etc and I said okay, I was surprised at how they charged for this on the bill, making it the most expensive fajitas ever! Nice enough place, was slightly fast foodie, not sure I would be in a rush to go back but depends on your taste!

profile_review

Guernika Pintxos & Tapas Bar
39 Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Wouldn't return here in a heartbeat. We went on a voucher but ordered more than the voucher was worth with the intention of it being good. The bravas are like something you would buy in the freezer section, not at all Spanish like. Our food took over an hour to arrive in total, in the end we didn't even get what we ordered, they kept forgetting. They brought us the wrong food three times and they had chicken in vegetarian croquettes. The staff seem friendly and polite, I actually feel sorry for them because there seemed to be a lot of unhappy customers. The cuisine is far from authentic and this place really needs to shape up because the service is woeful.

profile_review

San Lorenzos
South Great Georges Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

The staff here are very nice and friendly but they could really do with doing a bit more with the vegetarian options on the menu, They told us on the phone there was lots of veggie options but when we got there, there wasn't and they had two pasta based dishes and a risotto with wild mushrooms. The food was okay but to be honest I wouldn't serve it at home. It was basically pasta in a basic tomato sauce with some courgettes. The other dish was gnocchi in a basic tomato sauce with a bit of spinach. This place is probably fantastic if you eat meat and fish but if you're vegetarian I don't think it's the place for you as it's overpriced for what you actually get and pretty boring. So if they spruced up the veggie options, it would be a good option!

profile_review

The Ivy House
114 Upper Drumcondra Road, Drumcondra, Dublin

Nice selection of food on the menu and reasonably priced. The atmosphere in this bar is nice and the staff are quite friendly and helpful. The portions are decently sized. It's a nice place to nip into for lunch or even some dinner after work, in a modern setting.

profile_review

Jo'Burger - Town
Jo'Burger Town, 4/5 Castle Market, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I love Jo'burger so it's fantastic to have one in town! This one is a little more spacious than the original in Rathmines but the food is just the same! The menu has great options, lots of vegetarian items to choose from and their organic twist on everything makes you feel even better about eating burgers and onion rings etc! Definitely be back here, love the food, the vibe and the staff are really nice too. All in all a great please to dine.

profile_review

Sweet Nosh
Unit 1, Chatham St., St Stephens Green, Dublin

Went here for a deal that was for a cheese board and wine. The food was nice, however the waiting time was a little long but in saying that there was one girl who was on her own in there and everyone seemed to come in at once. It's a nice little place to pop in for something small or an aperitif on your way to dinner. It's nice and cosy too!

profile_review

Brasserie 7
The Capel Building, Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here for a late lunch. I have to say that the staff were very friendly and attentive but not overpowering. The food was tasty and very filling. The atmosphere is nice and the decor is very funky and the place seems to be nice and clean. It's in a great location, will definitely go back to try out some of the other items on the menu!

profile_review

Carlo's Restaurant
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I went here on a deal voucher and was pretty impressed. The service was really good and the waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The food was nice, in fact my mother said that they had the best chicken wings she ever tasted! I will be going back here for sure, it's nice food at an affordable price and the great thing is as well that they always seem to have deal vouchers on deal website so even if you're on a tight budget you can give them a try

profile_review

Hop House / Kimchi
160 Parnell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Have always walked by and had a look at the menu but never went until now! The place was packed and even though we didn't have a reservation, the waiter said if we waited in the bar he could see what he could do and luckily they had a space for us despite the place being extremely busy. The food here was really nice and the waiting time wasn't too bad at all. The staff are quite friendly and accommodating. The portions are decently sized and there is lots of options, vegetarian options included. I didn't find this place cheap but it is definitely somewhere I will go back to as the food is very authentic and it has a nice atmosphere and feel to it.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for lunch, had never been here before. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Great value lunch much, starter and main and food didn't take too long to arrive. The decor of the restaurant is really nice and classy. The menu incorporates many different tapas dishes from different regions, you can even get pasta here! I will definitely go back to check out their other menus. It's worth a visit!

profile_review

The Hut - Mohans
159 Phibsboro Road, Phibsboro, Dublin

Popped in here just before lunch time for a quick bite to eat. The place was quiet at this time but the staff were lovely and accomodating. We ordered sandwiches and they were really tasty and the portion was huge, big enough to d for brunch and lunch and the service was fast but yet the food was freshly prepared. If I am in the area again I would definitely pay a visit here, They have a lovely atmosphere, staff and presentation as well as a good menu at decent value

profile_review

The Grand Central Cafe Bar
O'Connell Street, O'Connell St, Dublin

I like this place and think they have a pretty decent menu. They also make a really good effort with vegetarian food. The staff were really nice on this particular occasion and checked a few times (but not overkill) to see if there was anything we needed etc. It's also a nice atmosphere to feel like you're in a pub but yet it's not pub grub. However, even though I think the food is nice etc I do think some of the dishes are a little overpriced.

profile_review

Alfies
10 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here for the first time recently. The place was quite nice but a little cramped as a lot of the reviews here state. It was nice that they had a vegetarian menu when asked. I started with the vegetarian nachos which was really good because it had actually veg under a sea of grated cheese. When my main arrived I thought the portion looked quite small, but it turned out to be quite filling. We had originally booked for 10 but only 6 of us were able to arrive and the waiter who showed us to our table was a bit snappy about the fact that not everyone had turned up. I think on the weekend evenings the place is pretty pricey but they seem to have some good deals during the week and for lunch. I would probably go here again.

profile_review

Bar Italia
26 Blooms Lane , Lower Ormond Quay, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

I really like this restaurant. The staffa re very friendly and accomodating and the food is fabulous. Pizzas made to order and the salads are really tasty. We got bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar while waiting on the food to have with our wine which is always a nice touch. The ice cream tastes homemade (I believe it is imported from Italy) and of course they have great coffee to top off a meal. Good food and decent value.

profile_review

Luigi's
6 Main Street, Longford Town, Longford

Luigis is definitely the best chip shop in Longford. They have introduced pizza too which is delicious and good value. They have a huge selection to choose from on the menu and the service is extremely fast and the staff are friendly. The portions of chips a pretty bif and definitely value for money. If you're passing through Longford or living there, a fantastic place to eat.

profile_review

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I love the food here. It is a great place to go to start a night out but is also very affordable if you just fancy a bite to eat. They have a fantastic selection of everything on the menu, so there is something to suit everyone. The atmosphere is great, although sometimes it can be a little too dark! The staff and friendly and pleasant and the best thing of all is that the bill doesn't break the bank!

profile_review

Picaderos Restaurant
Desmond House, Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

I really like this place. The atmosphere was really nice with candles and dim lighting. The majority of the staff were Spanish so it almost felt you were abroad, also the staff were friendly. They had a fantastic range of vegetarian dishes to choose from and it all tasted great. The only thing I am taking points off for is because they forgot to deliver one of our dishes (the place was extremely busy) but I would definitely go here again as you get what you pay for and they have a good range of wines to select from.

profile_review

Don Quijote
73 main st, Bray, Wicklow

There wasn't many people in the place but the service was extremely slow. We got the food in decent enough time but we were waiting forever to order. We ordered the marinated olives with our drinks and they looked like they had been beaten up, so this was a little disappointing. The staff were friendly but as I said the service was slow. The food was decent enough too and not too overpriced. The atmosphere of the place could have been a bit better. We had a candle etc on our table but it hadn't been lit, I think if they improved their service and the atmosphere, they could do very well.

profile_review

Torc Café and Food Hall
New Street, Longford Town, Longford

I agree with the last reviewer that some of the staff can be extremely sour. However, Torc has the best cappuccino I have ever had. Their lunch time menu is also very good value with their paninis, wraps and their pizza menu which is nice and also affordable. They usually do have a great selection of cakes and cookie as well as sweets, making it appealing for all the family. However it is more of a venue to meet a friend for lunch or a quiet coffee.

profile_review

Chinese Gourmet (Longford)
The Kiosk, Dublin Street, Longford Town, Longford

When this restaurant first opened it was probably the best in Longford. However it has really gone down over the years. One thing about the place is that you have a feeling that the staff hover over you, the second you put your fork on the plate they are over to take it away, which may sound very attentive but you feel like you're being watched the whole time and it's really annoying. The food used to be a lot better too. Everything in the dish tastes the same, a carrot tastes like a mushroom etc. But maybe it's because there is a lot of msg in westernised Chinese food. It has really nice decor etc, just if the staff laid off and stopped watching your table and maybe they focused on the taste of the food, this place could be what it used to be

profile_review

VM Restaurant
Dublin Road, Longford Town, Longford

I have only been here the once, not the type of place you go to every day as it's extremely expensive. However, the food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. On arrival at the table you have a selection of breads with the best homemade hummus I have ever tasted. The vegetarian options were really nice, a little different than most places. The place generally is really nice but I do feel it is very overpriced, including the wine. For four of us, the bill was over €300, so definitely only going here on special occasions!

profile_review

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Love this place! Great options from the menu, the pasta dishes are huge, so definitely be ready for a big meal! However it's no problem to take it home with you, unfortunately we were going out after and weren't able to take it with us, it was delicious! I ordered a side portion of olives and got a huge dish, which is the biggest I have gotten anywhere. The waiters are really nice and friendly and that makes all the difference in a restaurant. I got a tagliatelle dish and honestly it could have fed 3 people! So go here on a very empty stomach to get the best experience:)

profile_review

Toto Ristorante Italiano
8 Talbot Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I have been here twice recently and it's a great spot to have on Talbot street, especially if you travel via Connolly station often. They have some great early bird options, one with a glass of wine or one without. The atmoshpere is chilled out and relaxed and it has nice air conditioning which was fantastic because it was such a warm day! I had the brushetta for starter and a mushroom and brocolli fettucine dish as a main course and it was yummy. My mother got the soup which she said was delicious and the vegetarian pizza which was really nice. I would definitely be going back here as it's a nice little spot to stop off in and takes you out of the busy city momentarily

profile_review

Musashi Noodles and Sushi Bar
15 Capel Street, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin

An absolutely amazing restaurant on Capel Street. The first time I went here I got the bento box at lunch time and it's a great thing to get as a first timer as you get to sample a little bit of everything so you can then decide on a favourite for next time. The staff are very friendly and the food is incredible and is nicely presented. They also deliver so it's excellent for a take away as well, however the full menu doesn't seem to be available for delivery yet. Another impressive thing was complimentary sanitary towels in the female toilets which was something I had never seen before. Definitely a great spot and once they get their alcohol license it will be handy too

profile_review

South Street Restaurant
Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I love South Street! The food is amazing and the price is suitable for anyone! The lunch option is fantastic with a starter and main course for 9.99. I go here a lot and the staff are friendly and recently when I haven't been able to finish my main course, the staff ask if you want it wrapped up to take home for later! So affordable and so tasty and the staff are friendly and the restaurant in general has a nice vibe. One of the best in Dublin and great vegetarian options available!

profile_review

Mitsuba Japanese Restaurant
154 Parnell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Went here on Valentines night and was pretty excited to try it. As a vegetarian I ordered veggie options from the menu as well as telling our server that I was vegetarian and ensuring that none of the food had meat or fish in it. I was delighted when the waiter told me that he could have the chef make me some vegetarian miso soup without the fish stock etc. However, as I drank/ate my soup I soon discovered it was full of crab...I told the waiter and waitress and they didn't seem too concerned, in fact thought it was a bit on the funny side. And decided that bringing me some other grotesque looking thing would make things ok. Had they reacted in a proper manner about this, I wouldn't be giving such a bad review, but it really destroyed the evening and the lack of care ruined it even more.

profile_review

Pacifico Restaurant & Grill
Marine Court, The Green, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

Went here last night with friends! The food was very nice but a little bit pricey at the same time. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The view out onto the bay is also really nice too, however I thought there could have been a little more lighting in the place. There aren't many vegetarian options on the menu but my friends seemed delighted with their meat dishes. Dessert was also yummy. I would come here again but it might not be my number one choice for a Mexican restaurant. I think the staff's attitude made it that little bit better though

profile_review

The Hairy Lemon Traditional Pub & Restaurant
Stephen Street Lower, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here for lunch today and this was only my second time eating there. They have a great lunch menu and many vegetarian options. The staff are really friendly too. It's a great place to go to choose from a nice mix of food. I opted for the homemade soup and toasted sandwich and it was great with a nice athmosphere with the lunch time crowd. I will be going back here to sample some more their veggie options!

profile_review

Pasta Fresca
2-4 Chatham Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have been here a couple of times now and find the food to be amazing! The service is also quite good and you aren't waiting too long for the food but it is still nice and fresh. The staff are polite and friendly and the athmosphere is relaxing and nice for lunch especially if you're having a busy day in the office! The menu is diverse and has a lot of options available for vegetarians. You can also create your own pasta dish which is a definite favourite in this restaurant. This is perfect for lunch or dinner and would be a great place to start a night out

profile_review

Simons Place Coffee Shop
22 South Great Georges Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I got to Simon's place quite regularly and I really enjoy their salads as well as their yummy desserts. It's in a great location and has a nice bohemian feel to it. The staff are also quite friendly too and the food can be eaten there in the cafe or if you're in a rush you can take it away. As much as I love Simon's Place, I do find that it's a little overpriced which tends to put me off going here every day

profile_review

Taste Food Company
South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I went here for lunch and have to say it was really tasty. It was quite busy around this time of day so the service was a little slower than usual I'd imagine. However, the staff were very pleasant and polite. They have a lovely range of teas and even the teapots they are presented in are really nice. The menu had a nice range of options and is perfect for a lunch time or early evening meal. It's in a nice setting and if you sit upstairs you have a nice view of South William Street. I will definitely be going back here

profile_review

Boulevard Cafe
27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Went here today with 2 work colleague for lunch. The menu looked intriguing and we thought the idea of the lunch 'if not eating in 9 minutes, eat free' was a great idea. So away we ordered and one of my colleagues decided to time the wait time on his phone, just in a light hearted way. We ended up waiting 18 minutes and my colleague pointed this out to the waiter who was unbelievably rude and walked away from the table. My colleague then called him back and told him he was shocked at how rude he had been and the waiter told him 'not to be so anal timing it'. We were utterly disgusted. The presentation of the food is nice but overall I found teh food quite average but the place was left tainted from this waiter's rudeness. I won't be going back here in a hurry especially when they advertise 'eat in 9 minutes or eat free' and don't even stick to it!

profile_review

YO Sushi Clarendon St
Brown Thomas, Clarendon St, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

I've only started eating here recently and I'm wondering why I hadn't been eating here sooner! I love Japanese food and usually go to another restaurant in town which can be quite pricey. Yo Sushi is very good value and handy that you can pick dishes so you can have portions of many different foods instead of the one dish. When you eat in they also give you unlimited Miso soup (which is all vegetarian) when you pay for one bowl. On Mondays they also do all plates for 3 euro so it's good way to start the week. You don't have to eat at the sushi bar, you can order whatever food you want and its all freshly prepared and yum!

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

I went here with a group of friends a couple of days ago. I had never been before and we were all quite excited about going here as we had checked the menu online etc. We were sitting right beside the door because there is a big table there. It was a little too bright in this section but nevertheless we checked out the menu, which was different to the one online. They no longer do the vegetarian burger (many people in the group were veggies) and didn't have many options. As a started I ordered the hummus with the pitta bread and it was very badly presented, there was barely any bread with it and definitely was not worth the price. For a main I ordered the "beet yourself up" which wasn't fantastic either and was definitely overpriced as it was just two pieces of the "pie" with a salad and a dip. A couple of the waiting staff were polite but a couple of them were slightly ignorant and cheeky. Service charge is included in the bill, which was a joke considering the service. I won't be going back here and overall we were very disappointed with the quality of the food and the service.

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

I went here yesterday with friends and ordered from the Early bird menu which I had only experienced once a few months ago. As a vegetarian it was nice to see they had some options and also when we asked if we could have the nachos without the chilli they were more than willing and we were given a generous helping of nachos/jalapenos/sour cream/salsa and cheese as a starter. The food was very tasty and filling that we were almost full before the main. I opted for vegetarian fajitas and they don't scrimp on the amount of food here either, you are given a decent portion. The profriteroles were also delicious and accompanied by a glass of wine, all this for €20 really is a nice meal out and a nice place to go with your friends, especially if you're on a budget

Trocadero
St Andrew Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had not been to this place in a while and it really is a nice restaurant. However I was a bit disappointed because I had been looking at the menu online and it didn't match the menu we were presented with. It would be nice if they had a bigger variety of Vegetarian options. However, we had a lovely meal, started with the butternut squash soup with is lovely. The staff were very friendly and the meal worked out to be very reasonable, I will definitely be going back here, it's a nice meal out and gives you the opportunity to dress up a bit

Taste of Emilia
No. 1 Lower Liffey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I love Taste of Emilia and visit here as much as I can. When going here for a drink or two they offer olives and crisps (like tapas) and the best thing about this place is that it is all authentic, the olives are stoned which I think are difficult to come by in Dublin these days. The food is also amazing here and is freshly made, the Brushettas are nice and filling and the staff are friendly and very welcoming. This is definitely somewhere that I will make a regular eating out and drinks venue.

Eddie Rockets (Dame Street)
Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I think Eddie Rockets has gone a little downhill recently, its very hit and miss, sometimes the food can be really tasty but the last time it just tasted weird and slightly overcooked. For what you get aswell the prices are quite high. Recently I asked for salad in a burger bun as I didnt want the veggie burger and they told me they would have to charge me €5 for it!! I don't think they are great adapting to the wants of customers!

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here a short time ago and I hadnt been there for a while. I ordered fajitas and mozzarela sticks and asked for them to bring them together, but they brought them seperately. I asked for water without lemon in it as I am severely allergic to it and they said that was no problem. However, when the water arrived and I took a drink of it, it was obvious that they had simply either poured it from a jug containing lemon or simply taken the lemon out. Which resulted in me having to go straight home as I got a rash and felt very ill. Thanks TGIs.

The Kingfisher Restaurant, Guesthouse & Apartments
166 Parnell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I go here from time to time for breakfast as I live near it. It generally is a fine place to eat, nothing too exciting but does the job. A few times i have eaten here though I was not satisfied. Once there was a spider in my salad and when I complained they merely offered me a new salad as opposed to not charging me for it. My friend had an omlette and the egg shell was still in it, once again all they said was sorry. The vegetarian breakfast is good but a little overpriced really for what it is. I find the staff a bit strange, there is one man working in there who tends to just stare at you when you are in there and it's very offfputting. The toilets are also out of service a lot. The take away is very slow - if you order a bag of chips, you could be waiting twenty minutes sometimes! Overall it's a handy place to eat as it's walking distance from the shops, but just be aware of little mishaps like I mentioned!

La Pizza
14/15 Upper O'Connell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I would consider this place to be your average pizza joint but the name and the decor makes it sound a little posher. The food is ok, wouldnt go mad about it but it did the job. The staff weren't the friendliest which really would put you off the place. Lets just say it will be a while before I am edging to go back.

Il Fornaio Restaurant (IFSC)
1B Valenta House, Custom House Square, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

I have gone here for lunch many times because I work in the area. The food is quite good, especially the pizzas and their gnocci. The Only thing is for what it is, it's a little overpriced. I have brought people there before and they weren't that impressed with what they got for the price they are paying. They have lots of nice breads that they make themselves. The place is always packed which can leave you waiting a long time for a table. However, maybe in the future I would return again.

Charlies Four
8 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Charlies is ideal after a night out and you fancy something to eat. obviously it isnt the best chinese food as it is fast food! One thing I always notice about any food I have had from here is that it always tastes very peppery (in all charlies not just 4!) Also, for a fast food reference, it's not exactly cheap in comparison to other chinese restaurants in the city. However, it opens late and you don't have to wait too long to get your food.

Mandarin House
179 Parnell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I only went here the once as I usually go to a local chinese. I was unimpressed at the lack of vegetarian cuisine they had and then by the time we explained that we didnt eat fish either they couldnt offer us very much. It was a bit disappointing and I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back here.

The Boxty House
20-21 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

If you ask me the boxty served here isn't even proper boxty! Boxty comes from back in the day and is still available to buy in shopps mainly in the midlands and it tastes a lot nicer than the food in here. Also they menu and staff can be misleading, I went in for breakfast and was asked what juice I would like with my breakfast and would I prefer tea or coffee, turned out neither were included in it and he made it out like they were. The breakfast ended up costing about 16 euro!

Zaytoon (Lower Camden Street)
44-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

can never beat Zaytoon for a kebab before or after a night out! The veggie kebab is lovely and good value when you get the meal, just under a tenner. The only problem is so many people think this place is great that you might be waiting a while to get your food, but it's ususally always worth it!

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I was not impressed with this place at all. First of all they have nothing vegetarian on the menu, the only thing resembling vegetarian is the dish with goats cheese, which most veggies don't eat. My meal consisted of bread and more bread. I would not recommend to non meat eaters

Juice Vegetarian Restaurant
9 Castle House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The food here is quite nice and tasty, it's always great to have a vegetarian restaurant to go to. The only thing here is that the service is very slow, my friend ordered a coffee and ajuice and never got the juice but didnt bother asking again because she knew it would take ages. The food in the evening is quite overpriced for what you get considering the dish could be one third of that price at lunch time. Good place to go if you're vegetarian and at a loss, but don't go there if you have to be somewhere in a hurry!

Il Baccaro
Meeting House Square, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I have to say that I was not impressed with this place at all. The food was freezing when it arrived and very overpriced. The rocket salad was just that, pieces of rocket, no dressing or anything, the setting of the restaurant is very cramped and the staff seem to just want to get dealing with you over and done with. I would not be in a hurry to go back here

China House (Parnell Street)
180 Parnell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Everytime I go here I am never let down, a friend said she wasnt as impressed with the food lately but we visited last week and food tasted even better than it ususually does. The portions are really big and very godo value and a great thing is if you don't finish your meal they have no problem with you bringing it home, they give you the little lunchboxes etc. Myself and my friend each got a main course and rice extra and a drink and the total came to something like €23, what a bargain! I would definitely recommend this place, I have been going here since Moore street days and the standard just keeps getting better!

The Church Cafe Bar & Restaurant
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I really like the Church, it is a little strange having a drink in a place with pews etc, but the atmosphere is really relaxed! The food is nice and the staff are friendly. I would definitely go back here, good place to watch football too, and nice to meet friends for a few drinks!

Milano (Clarion Quay)
Unit 6, Excise Walk, Clarion Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

One of the worst places I have ever been to eat. I went with two friends one lunchtime. We all ordered salads and we were waiting 45 minutes for them to arrive. We asked many times why there was such a delay and we were given no reason, we only have an hour lunch break so we had to eat quickly. The food wasn't even that nice and was definitely not worth the price. We were not even offered an apology and when we went to pay by laser when we didn't give the staff a tip they gave us the dirtiest looks. Awful place.

Flanagan’s Restaurant
61 Upper O'Connell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I have eaten here a few times, The food is generally nice but they never seem to listen to the customer. If you ask for a two starters as a main course, they bring it out on two different big plates, so it's nearly impossible to eat your meal. Also, they will only serve you main meals if it is busy. It's luck of the draw with some of the staff. Some are very friendly, the rest look like they just don't want to be there. Questionable about how fresh the food is as it is brought to the tables nearly seconds after ordering. However they have good daytime specials

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I am a regular visitor to Yamamori and most of the time have enjoyed the food that I have ordered, however lately I think their standards have fallen slightly. The food is a lot more greasier than usual and although the staff are very friendly, they have on two occasions failed to return my change of approximately ten euro believing it to be a tip. I think it would also be a good idea to offer two types of bento boxes (two vegetarian and two meat) to give a broader selection as it can be very hit and miss.

Novo
Harry Street, St Stephens Green, Dublin

I found Cafe Novo to be a nice place to eat. The setting is lovely, the staff are really friendly and even the manager comes to see you are satisfied. They were very good with adapting the starters for us to split between myself and my friend and advised us on the size of the main courses etc. The only reason I would deduct a star is because they only have one vegetarian option on the evening menu. I think if they were to acquire a few more vegetarian dishes it's clientele would grow even more
