China House (Lucan)
7 & 8 Finnstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

I was brought here for birthday treat from family, as I had a takeaway from here before I wanted eat in restaurant. The place needs a make over as its tired and dated. I ordered the Lemon chicken and fried rice it was delicious, my two year old grandson loved it also dipping he's finger into sauce. everyone had different dishes and all enjoyed the food, the price list on menupages site is for takeaway menu. Will go back. I think it would do better business if done up

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Went here with two of my sisters for nice catch up and a good chat, we had booked for 7pm. We were seated near back and we ordered our food chatting away, then a group of about ten men were seated close by and next a group of loud girls that were on a hens party. Also they kept getting up and taking pictures on there phones, We hurried our food and had to leave earlier and go else where for quite catch up and coffee and dessert, must say we enjoyed the food, but we should have not been seated with groups of people.

The Winter Garden Restaurant @ Red Cow Hotel
Red Cow Moran Hotel, Naas Road, Dublin 22, Clondalkin, Dublin

I visited here with my O/H with menupages Voucher, I was impressed by the high standers of food, it has improved a lot since the last time I was there, the new menu is spot on, only had one problem that my O/H steak wasn't well done like he asked and was sent back, he was told he never asked for it that way, said he should have said should be cooked through. I will visit again, waiting staff very friendly

We we're informed by Staff that there was No Bananas Left, This was 10 am as we pointed out that there is a local shop near buy can you not get some there, was told no. Very disappointed in this as I always visited here for nights out with family,

My first time here and was looking forward to a nice lunch. I had voucher deal to share with one of my daughters, both of use had lovely meals, another of my daughters wasn't that hungry so ordered Brochette with no onions, it came served with two measly slices bread and onions and cost her €7. It was very quite day here. Staff need learn that they don't pass food over a Pram. I will visit again as the Bangers and Mash was yummy

Gallahers Bistro
16A D'Olier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Looking forward Afternoon Tea here as we had voucher deal, we asked in advance would they do special selection for child they said no problem. We ordered different sandwiches of the menu, when the waiter brought the three tiers of goodies to the table I was disappointed as the cakes they were serving was very measly looking. We tried the sandwiches and we all said they were delicious as for the cakes they were a let down no imagination put into them, they looked after the child with the special plate of delights. Need improving on cakes of tiny little tarts and tiny slivers of brownies as they were a let down.

Paris Bakery and Pastry
18, 19 Moore Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I brought my daughter here for treat as it was her Birthday, we both ordered Pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup, when it arrived the bacon had more fat on it than meat and was soggy, the pancakes where hard around the edges and I pointed this out to waitress which she replied was that's way they are supposed be and the chef usually cuts off edges before serving, I have never heard anything so silly as what she said, also the toilets where used by everyone and anyone. They should only be for customers. I won't return again.

The Saddle Room @ The Shelbourne
The Shelbourne Hotel, 27 St Stephen's Green, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

My husband and I were treated to meal here for our Anniversary as I've wanted try here for ages. We arrived before seven so I was able to order of pre Theatre Menu. I went for the three course which cost ONLY €27.95, he went for the Table D'HÓTE which was individually priced. The service was very good also the food was very tasty, with mains you get baby boiled potatoes which neither of us like so we ordered chips and mash potatoes, only complaint was he was charged €5 extra for chips and I was charged €5 for mash potatoes. Still good value but they should have offered a choice of mash, chips or baby boiled with meal at no extra cost.

Had lunch here with my daughter and was not impressed with service or food. The wrap was soggy when she got it back, she was afraid eat Chicken as she is Pregnant and taught it was over heated. The staff are not very polite or friendly.

The Clarendon Bar

Walking by we decided drop in for the lunch deal, food looked nice that was served to costumers who were seated outside. There was no one to greet us and we stood for couple minutes before waiter came told us sit anywhere you like, my daughter had go and get the menu herself. I ordered mild chicken Korma she ordered burger, when my food arrived the curry smothered the rice which I later found, presentation wasn't the best neither was the Korma, it just tasted of a mild curry, she enjoyed the burger. We ordered dessert which took about fifteen minutes reach our table. Staff could be a little more friendly.

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

A family night out celebrating a Graduation and we were all looking forward to a nice meal, we ordered our food and waited and again waited for it to arrive. When it did arrived over forty minutes it tasted good, so we were looking forward to mains and again we were left waiting for again another forty or so minutes. Only one or two enjoyed food others said it was average. My O/H ordered a well done steak and with no red in it, this was an impossible for the Chef to cook as it had to be returned three times, didn't bother eating it then. We asked speak to the manager which was another impossible task as she did not come over to us. We just paid and left disappointed. Needless say wont be back and wouldn't recommend Toscana.

profile_review

Gallahers Bistro
16A D'Olier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

First time to visit this place glad I did, for mains I had beef medallions with fondant potato which was very nice only problem was I could have done with on extra helping of potato. My O/H had burger which he liked they were served with lovely crispy chunky chips. This was followed by sticky toffee pudding, which we both enjoyed. The staff were good and the seating comfy. My O/H said he would try here again which is unusual as he doesn't eat out much

profile_review

Rory's Bistro
Woodford Walk, Clondakin, Co.Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

I decided try here as it's new and the menu looked good. I had the broad beans starter and Chicken in thyme mains both tasted delicious. My O/H had Caesar salad which he liked followed by Dubliner Burger and fries, first of there was to much soggy onions on burger which then made bun soggy, and the bacon was quite thickly sliced not nice, the chips were supposed be chunky turned out be cooked frozen chips which he hates. Why cook fresh food served up with horrible greasy chips. The staff were lovely.

Two had chicken wings which they enjoyed, Myself and other daughter had pasta dishes, which neither off us liked, it was bland and tasteless. Very noisey and expensive place. Only good point was waiter was nice and friendly.

Cafe Kylemore - Liffey Valley
Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Liffey Valley, Dublin

Very disappointed with my food today. I had the breakfast special with chips and portion gravy, which looked like tar as it was black in colour, tasted horrible. The bacon which was served on plate was burned on one side and raw on other side, had get different portion. Staff not very friendly either. Wont go back as I think it's gone downhill.

My Friend and I decided give here another try after our last bad experience. Sorry I did, we had lunch in Lounge area some sandwiches with coffee. Food average served with horrible cheap crisps. They should use catering bread for sandwiches. I can see why place was empty, it's very drab, place could do with brighten up

The Winter Garden Restaurant @ Red Cow Hotel
Red Cow Moran Hotel, Naas Road, Dublin 22, Clondalkin, Dublin

My friend and I went for the early bird menu, we ordered our meal, and waited and waited even more. When we asked when would food arrive we were told it would be out soon. It took thirty minutes for food to arrive.I had rack of Lamb, it was very tasty, friend had fillet steak which was also good. We decided to have dessert and again we waited for another thirty minutes. There was two small groups in that night and all the waiters looked after them very well, running back and forth. Where my friend and I just left there being ignored. All paying customers should be treated the same. We got no apology. Also we wont be back
