The Yacht (Clontarf)
73 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

Went to The Yacht yesterday afternoon for something small to eat. Myself and a friend both had the soup of the day, which was potato and leek. It was really tasty. The brown bread that came with it was also very fresh and tasty. We also shared a side of the cheesy garlic potatoes, which were amazing. I found the bar/lounge to be very bright, so not very cosy. But definitely enjoyed the food and will be back for lunch some day. Staff were attentive and helpful.

The Bistro at Ella
7 Main Street, Howth, Howth, Dublin

Had dinner with a friend for the first time. It was quite quiet with only one other table filled so there wasn't much atmosphere. Staff very helpful and friendly. Wine was beautiful and the goats cheese starter is to die for. I had the seabass for the main but I wasn't crazy about it. Would definitely go back though.

Cafe Bar H
Grand Canal Plaza, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Came here for lunch as I had walked by a few times and it looked appealing. We had wings, Burger and fries and a Spanish omelet. The wings were nice, the burger ok and the omelet wasn't nice but that could be just me. The atmosphere was non existent and the staff seemed to float off.... I might try it once more, Maybe for drinks and tapas. Hopefully next time will be better.

The Upper Deck duplicate
Harbour Road, Above the Waterside Pub, Howth, Dublin

I went here for my birthday. The staff were very friendly and the food was gorgeous. I had the fillet steak (Wasn't mad about their pepper sauce but blue cheese was amazing) and my partner and friend had the fish. We shared the wings and nachos to start which were out of this world. Once seated it took about 20 minutes for us to get our drinks but after that everything was great. One thing I don't like is that when making reservations a couple of times I seem to be told that they will need the table back an hour and a half later. I never plan on staying too long but hate feeling rushed. The value for money was great and we'll be back again.

OKA Restaurant
Northwood Demense, North Dublin, Santry, Dublin

Myself, partner and 6 friends went here last week for our Christmas get together. We were all very disappointed. The staff couldn't have been bothered and one person in particular was very rude. The food was only ok. I've had better from a take away. The prices were unreal and definitely over priced. The one thing that really annoyed me was that they decided to add a service charge of almost 40 euro to the bill. I have never left a restaurant without giving a generous tip but I found this to be extremely cheeky as it was definitely not deserved. Will not be back.

Canters Tandoori
9 Fairview Strand, Fairview, Dublin

Bought a menupages deal and went last weekend. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere wasn't great. The food was nice but the prawn and chicken dishes literally just had chicken/prawns in sauce. Would have been nice to get some onions etc in it also. Good that you can bring your own wine/beer.

The Station House
3-5 Station Road, Raheny, Dublin

Myself and my partner came here for a bit to eat and a couple of drinks. We weren't dinner hungry so got the chicken wings with home made chips and blue cheese sauce. It was all lovely. Would come back again for food but don't like the atmosphere once it gets past 7.30/8pm. Grand spot for a bit of pub grub though.

The Brasserie at the Marker Hotel
Grand Canal Square, Docklands, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

The food was nice but I've had better. I don't know where they are getting their prices from. I don't like that as soon as you walk through the front doors you're in the bar rather than a reception area. The staff were friendly. Was with a party of 10 so we had great banter and made our own atmosphere. Wouldn't be in a hurry to go back.

Hop House / Kimchi
160 Parnell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Have been here a good few times over the years. The staff are always friendly and the food is fantastic. It's great that if you decide to go in with friends for a few pitchers that you can have some "picky" food while you have your beer. Also, they give free chicken wings for every 3 pitcher... A great mix of people too. Will definitely be back.

Milano (Grand Canal Harbour)
Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Stopped in with my partner to share a pizza and salad. Had the Hot American Pizza. Food was beautiful. The place was dead so not much atmosphere but staff were friendly. Would eat here again.

The Watermill Bar & Restaurant
411 Howth Road, Dublin 5, Raheny, Dublin

Stopped in here for food but didn't know you had to make a reservation which seemed a bit strange. The place was packed and very noisy but the staff were friendly. A bit pricy for a pub I think. Also their website says they open for food at 10.30am but when I called recently the only serve sandwiches from 12.30pm. Wouldn't be in a hurry back.

The Mint Cottage
2A Main Street, Raheny, Dublin

Myself and my partner were here again and brought with us a menupages voucher that we had purchased. We had the prawns and goats cheese for starters which were amazing. We had another prawn dish for one of the main courses and a chicken dish. Everything was gorgeous. We were feeling stuffed but the staff encouraged us to attempt the dessert which we did! It was also lovely. Very friendly staff and the voucher was great value for money. Will definitely be back.

Henry's Restaurant & Bar
Cashelgarran, Bundoran Road, , Drumcliff, Sligo

I was here with a large group of family for dinner. The portion sizes are huge which is great if you're a big eater. I personally prefer quality over quantity. The plates where cold as was the food. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly but I wouldn't go back.

Golden Elephant Restaurant
Sutton Cross Shopping Centre, North Dublin, Sutton, Dublin

Myself and my boyfriend decided we would get a take away from here yesterday for dinner. One thing I never get from the Chinese is curry sauce. Anyway I decided I'd try the chips, curry sauce and rice in a tray deal. I was amazed. It has to be the nicest curry sauce I've tried in a long time. The place is spotless clean and the staff are very friendly. We got our food in no time. I will definitely be back here.

Okra Green Howth
1 Island View, Harbour Road, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin

I had dinner here with my cousin last week. It was my first time eating Pakistani food and I loved it. Everything was so fresh and the staff could not have been nicer. My cousin paid the bill so I didn't see the prices while we were there but I had a look at their website and the dishes seem a little pricey.

The Woolshed Baa & Grill
Parnell Street, The junction of Jervis street and Parnell street., City Centre North, Dublin

I've been in here quite alot over the years. The food is always fantastic and it's a good spot for a few casual beers with friends.. The service can be a bit slow and i've often gone in to find dirty tables... It can sometimes be too packed but is good for athmosphere when Ireland play in the rugby. Prices are average. But overall a good spot..

Seabank House
125 East Wall Road, City Centre North, Dublin

Came in here on the weekend with friends for a bit to eat. The place was full of small kids running around while people were trying to eat, the food wasn't very nice and the prices were too high. Would not recommend it.

The Coach House Pub & Restaurant
Roundwood, Roundwood, Wicklow

I have been here a few times. Recently with a party of 6. We had dinner and the folowing morning had breakfast. Everything that we ordered was delicious and prices were great too. We always have a good experience when we visit here. And we'll definitly be back.

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I ordered the burger and chilli fries deal for 9.50. When it was brought out i had just gotten plain fries. NO chilli. My husband had the Chimichanga. It wasn't the nicest i've ever tasted. The staff were friendly. The menu prices were a bit too high. Overall experience was ok. I doubt i'll be back.

The Abbey Tavern, Howth,
Abbey Street, Howth, Dublin

Came out here for a bit of lunch with my partner and his mam. We all had the veg soup with brown bread and we ordered the chicken tenders and a portion of chips between us. The waitress ended up bringing two portions of chips. When i told her we had only ordered one she said she wouldn't charge us. My mother-in-law asked for a glass of wine, it was brought out in a jug and was enough for two glasses which was generous. The food is nice, I like that they had the fire lighting. Nice for a spot of lunch.

Wicklow Heather
Laragh, Glendalough, Wicklow

This is the nicest restaurant in Glendalough/Laragh... I've been here many times over the past 4 years and everytime it's wonderful. The staff are very friendly, the food is fab and the atmosphere is lovely. It's always busy so it's better to book a table ahead. Not sure if they do early bird menu's. If your in the area definitly try this place.

Lynhams Of Laragh
Laragh Glendalough, Laragh, Wicklow

Went here with my boyfriend while on an over night trip. Wanted to have a few drinks. I didn't like the atmosphere. And some of the customers seemed quite intimidating. The toilets are very old and don't smell nice at all (Ladies) Won't be back.

Bay Restaurant
369 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

After driving by the place a few times we decided to venture in and have some lunch. Nice quaint restaurant, food is beautiful and staff are friendly. Only negative thing would be the prices. I think they are way to high. If they dropped their prices i'd deffinitly go back.

Langs Bar & Restaurant
Main Street, Grange, Sligo

I went here with my family and boyfriend after my sister had her baby. I'd never been before but had heard great things about it. For starter we had the garlic mushrooms which were beautiful, and for my main i decided to try the steak. It was cooked perfect and was well presented on the plate. We got mixed veg and mash with it but in side plates. They were very generous with the pepper sauce (a gravy boat full!) and it was gorgeous. My 6 year old nephew was with us and they gave us crayons and pictures for him to colour in, which was very kind of them. I'll definitly be eating here when i'm visiting next.

Thai Spice

The Alamo Restaurant
22 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

This is my favourite restaurant ever! I've been eating here for about 5 years... The food is always amazing, The staff are extremely nice and the lunch menu (up until 4pm) is very reasonable. You can get a main dish and a soft drink for €8.50 or a soup and sandwich for €5. I've tried many Mexican restaurants, but nowhere has ever been nicer than The Alamo. I went to go with my boyfriend one day last week and it was closed... I am panicing so hopefully it's just closed for renovations. But yes, amazing amazing amazing..

Moloughney's Clontarf
9 Vernon Avenue, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

I went here with 5 friends. We availed of a deal (not sure if it was early bird as they don't seem to be doing it anymore) for €55 which included 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine. It worked out very cheap per person. The food was beautiful, the service was very good also. Had a really nice time. Would come back again if the same deal applied but otherwise the A la carte prices are a little high. Other than that it was a lovely night out.

New Hin Keng
25G Malahide Road, Artane, Artane, Dublin

I've been here alot in the past year. Both with friends and with family. The food is beautiful and well presented. The staff are friendly and helpful. They also do take out which is great. Only thing that i've noticed is for a long time, after you and your party had finished your meal, the staff would always give a complimentary round of drinks before you paid your bill.. I've noticed on my last few trips here that they've stopped this.. I know it's a recession but it was a nice treat and i sent alot of business to the restaurant because of this.. Apat from that the prices, food and overall experience at this restaurant is very good.

Il Corvo Restaurant
98-100 Upper Drumcondra Road, Dublin 9 , Drumcondra, Dublin

I've been here many times and every time it's a fab experience. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food is to die for. I ordered the Bruschetta for starter, Lasagne and rosemary and garlic potatoes for my main... I was too stuffed for dessert.. The quality and the portion sizes are perfect. I do think it's a tad pricy. But still a great restauarant.
