A group of 9 booked in for a Saturday brunch here on their last sitting, San Lorenzo's always advise of the 1hr and 15 sitting time which can be seen as a downside I guess but when the staff are as efficient and friendly as theirs, it's actually a lot more time than you think. The kitchen was closing after 15 mins of our arrival so it meant it a was a lot more relaxed and not as much pressure on us to eat our food without chewing ;) My first experience with San Lorenzo's pales in comparison to this one and I adore the style and vibe of the place, especially the music they play. 10/10

Beeftro - Balfe Street
5 Balfe St, City Centre South, Dublin

Paid a quick visit here with my fiancée before catching an impromptu show in the city centre, had heard mixed reviews about the service before, but never about the food, so said I would check it out for myself. The food did not disappoint, €19.95 for two courses, it is one of the better early birds in Dublin 2. The wings and the burger were worth every penny. What I would say is, that a place like Beeftro of such huge standards should offer a lot more than chips as a side to a burger, nevertheless the burger was delicious. One point I feel I need to make is the manner or lack there of, of one of your male members of staff. I eat out a lot and have a lot of friends that work in the industry and have never in my life seen such rudeness. We weren't shown to a table, even though we had went to the trouble of reserving, pointing is such a bad habit, and while I like to give the benefit fo the doubt every time, it was a lot more of a gesture. I could not fault the lady that was working on the night, she was the polar opposite of this young man. I'm sorry to say his manner did not improve for the rest of our time there, disappointing really as the rest of the evening was enjoyable.

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

What a gorgeous and warm experience in the heart of Ireland's capital. Spent 3 hours in this relaxed and cosy atmosphere last Wednesday with a foodie friend of mine, the 2 course early bird is highly recommended, I went for the flat Portobello mushroom and the trio of beef for main, my oh my what a treat. washed down with a marvellous Malbec and a nice crisp Sauvignon blanc, this place is not to be avoided, go, go, go x

Chez Max (Palace Street)
1 Palace Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

5 stars....there is nothing I would not mark this amazing place down on... went there for my 6 month celebration with my now fiancée and they were brilliant.... some champers on the house always sweetens the deal too. A must try

San Lorenzos
South Great Georges Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Booked a celebratory brunch here in this on the rise little hot spot on George's street, while the interior is basic the food and cocktails were not. a wonderful time was had although I would take some marks off for the 2 hour cap on the table. we were given no heads up until about 5 minutes before they wanted the table back. Alas, that would not stop me going back. the 80's and 90's music was brilliant

Alladins Cafe and Restaurant
129 Upper Leeson Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

had purchased a livingsocial deal for here earlier on in the year and needed to use it, great vfm, had a starter to share and a main each, it's BYOB and no corkage which is always a brilliant touch by restaurants I think (especially since there's a Spar next door) staff are lovely and attentive, the place is a little small but I guess it does advertise as a café will be back

Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Brought my dad here for a birthday brunch and can't say enough about the service, food and vfm. We told the staff it was his birthday and they made a fuss out of him when we were finished our food, there was 6 of us and we all got different dishes and never had to ask twice for our order, I think this is a sure fire sign of efficiency, Thank you E&C will definitely be back :)

Wallace's Taverna
24 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Stumbled on this place one bank holiday Sunday by accident and amn't I glad I did. What a delightful place, staff were lovely, food was delicious, and all served up in an authentic Italian atmosphere...if that's what tickles your fancy. I had the chicken salad for starters and the beef fillet for mains, washed down with a lovely bottle of the house white. The experience was worth every cent, will definitely go back :)

Crackbird
60 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had been meaning to try Crackbird for a long time, and as soon as payday hit in February, I decided to bring my gf on a date there, we were seated straight away, and even for a Wednesday it seemed busy, we had the carrot and celery with hummus dips for starter, nice and light, I had the chicken crunches with potatoe croquettes and my gf had the soy garlic chicken with the side of noodles, everything was so tasty, would definitely return, the added cool touches of the prosecco cooler being in a refurb gas tank made the evening even more memorable.. will most definitely be back :)

Quay 16 Restaurant @ MV Cill Airne
MV Cill Airne, North Wall Quay, IFSC, Dublin

Spent a cold crisp December evening here with my mother and sister before heading to see Lionel Richie in the O2 arena, went for the 2 course menu and it did not disappoint, had the duck and rice spring rolls for starter, delicious and the steak for mains, asked for medium well and that's exactly what I got, some places fall down with this as it's either medium rare or well done, but the guys in Quay 16 were on the money.. Would recommend this for any party big or small or even a special occasion, the staff were tremendous and courteous too. two thumbs up :)

Lunch! Calzone Cafe
63 South William Street, South William Street, Dublin

stumbled on this place with my partner and sister on a very cold and wet winters evening, had a quick scan of the menu which appealed to all and went inside, the gentleman serving and working there immeadiately came over and gave us menus, my sister and I shared the meat and cheese platter and the goats cheese bruschetta, both delicious, my partner had the club calzone, my sister and I had a glass of prosecco and my partner had a sol, there was salad with all the food which brought some added colour to the deliciousness of the meal. would highly recommend this place, absolute gem....

Dada Restaurant
45 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My girlfriend and I went to Dada last Sunday evening, I had heard many great things about this restaurant and was looking forward to trying it, fortunately I had won the menupages deal on facebook, so what's better than a good meal, a free meal... I was immeadiately drawn to how warm the athmosphere was, there was a wonderful ambience about the place and the staff all seemed to work well together too. My deal was the early bird menu, I went for hummos and my girlfriend went for the chicken skewers, both portions were healthy, for mains I had the chicken supreme and Cathy had the couscous, both were more than healthy meals, full of flavour and spices.. they were delicious... we also had the mint tea which was a lovely experience..... decided to splash out and have the lemon and cardomom cake, words cannot describe it but would highly recommend it. overall a wonderful experience and I look forward to going back.

Darwins
80 Aungier Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have been to Darwin's on two separate occasions, and on both times they have excelled themselves, the first time was my anniversary with my partner and the second time was my fathers 60th, both occasions went without incident, the staff are polite, attentive and good mannered. The food was well received and for my dad's party in particular, they made a fuss. Needless to say I cannot wait to go back again. Great job Darwins :)

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

My partner and I paid the well liked Rustic Stone a visit at the end of last month it was her birthday and as a steak lover she was keen to try out what they had to offer. We were greeted warmly by one of the girls working that night, I must add that all staff were curteous and very well trained. The experience was not one of a pleasent one however, there wasn't one particular moment that stood out for me, it was just so busy and everything was so frantic and done in a 'go go go' manner that it kind of took away from the special occastion. I was not overly impressed with the steak and the truffle fries either,. I was hoping that it would not deter me from going back if the chance ever arose and I would hope that if I did, I would be won over by the experience on the night than the restaurants reputation
