Used the MenuPages lunch voucher. We enjoyed a very nice 3 course meal for a total €70, including coffee, a nice bottle of wine & tip. We dined at 14.30, place was packed. Staff appeared under a bit of pressure which showed slightly in the service & delivery of the food (spilled soup, wine "jus" on beef dish nearly dried out. Overall, staff were very helpful & friendly. The minor glitches didn't spoil what was a great value meal and a very enjoyable experience.

Wicklow Heather
Laragh, Glendalough, Wicklow

I've dined here on a number of occasions previously (as a couple and in a larger group) both for lunch and dinner. On all occasions the service and food have been excellent. On a recent visit I experienced the type of small added value elements which make establishments like this stand-out and survive. Our family group, including a 6 month old child and family dog visited recently. Being a nice day we choose to sit at one of the many outside tables available on the veranda / decking area. We were made feel very welcome, a high chair was provided for the child and our dog didn't cause any fuss. We all opted for a fish main course this time (Beer batter Haddock by most & a baked Wicklow Trout for myself). As usual our food & accompanying sides was top class. Coffee finished the meal. I had expected the usual little coffee biscuit but one didn't arrive. When I queried this, I was provided with a plate of digestives. No problem. Highly recommended as always.

Aprile Ristorante
10 Lower Kilmacud Road, SET MENU ALL NIGHT MONDAY TO FRIDAY, Stillorgan, Dublin

My most recent visit to Aprile's was with a group of 3. My starter was a Salad with Tuna, Feta cheese & black olives, tossed in in extra virgin olive oil. A generous portion, fresh salad leaves, plenty of feta & olives. A great starter. An improvement would be to drain the tuna more, it was a little wet. For main courses we picked the following: Pollo Tuscany (On a bed of pesto tagliatelle), Pollo Alla Cacciatora (On a bed of creamy basil risotto with roast vegetables , and Salmon (Oven baked fillet, served with dill sauce). All very good quality, portion sizes and excellent taste. The basil risotto served with the Cacciatora was particularly well regarded!! My rating would have been excellent only my pasta was served a little on the cold side. We had two glasses of red and one of white wine. These are provided as part of the excellent value Set Menu. All were very drinkable. The full wine list is true to the Italian experience and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly, attentive and courteous. The decor (minimalist, black & white) is consistent with the informal dining experience. The restaurant is attracting a wide range of clients, and is children friendly. However, the dining room is not very big, the tables are close together and when full the noise level is very loud. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dining experience. Aprile's is a very good addition to local dining scene. Highly recommended.

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Party of 6, all on Early Bird menu. Ambience was good, staff attentive, service spot on. We had research the web menu before booking & 4 of the party had chosen Lamb as their main but it wasn't available on the night. It's replacement Top Rib roast beef. All 4 went for that. Unfortunately, it was a disaster, dry & tough. The good news is that the other mains, Kettyle Chicken, & Fish Pie were very good. As were the starters of Sea Food baskets, Asian Salad & Chicken Wings. Deserts were also top class, Farm Surprise being tops. We did complain about the beef and the manageress was very good about it. A significant reduction on the bill and a complementary after meal drink for all 6 of us. An excellent recovery.

O'Connells Restaurant Donnybrook
135 Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, D04 HX46, Donnybrook, Dublin

Second visit to this restaurant in the past year. Love the ambiance of the place. Value rating is based on using a deal voucher. We dined on a Thursday, the restaurant wasn't particularly busy but the service was poor. There was plenty of staff, but appeared to be disorganised. Both our starters were very nice. Main's were disappointing; streak was ordered med-rare but arrived very well done. However, there was no problem having it replaced. Monkfish risotto was lovely, and plentiful but very small pieces of fish. Veg was almost non-existent on both mains. Overall the portions for all courses (risotto aside) were small. We were disappointed but we will give it another try.

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My wife and I visited El Bahia to avail of a 2-course dinner with glass of wine offer. This is the second time we have dined at El Bahia in the past 12 months and we as we had enjoyed our first visit our expectations were high. We weren't disappointed. Our starters and main courses (a Cous Cous dish and a lamb Tajine) were delightful. The service was very attentive and even though we were the only diners (at 18.00) the ambience was good. The only negatives from the evening were: - The complementary glass of house red, very poor. Try the Shiraz it was very acceptable and reasonably priced. - The menu is the same as we experienced on our previous visit and when I enquired it become apparent the some of the more exotic offerings (e.g. Rift Mountain goat) were not available. They need to update the menu. - The service was good but not exceptional. No concession on the poor house wine However, despite these points the overall experience was very good and we'll be back.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Using our MenuPages voucher we had a most enjoyable 4-course lunch in the Restaurant upstairs (not the Bistro downstairs). From starters to the excellent cappuccino's to finish it was top class. For starters we had Spicy Thai fishcakes & Prawn Bisque - both delicious. For mains we had Hake & Trout - perfectly cooked, served with veg. Desert was the White Choc & Brownie cheesecake & the Icecream sundae. The cheesecake was gorgeous. Pick because President Michael D was having it at the next table. Voucher price was fantastic at €35 - At normal price (incl 10% service) of €56 it would still be well worth it.

Seapoint Restaurant
4 The Crescent, Monkstown, Dublin, Monkstown, Dublin

Our 3rd time dining here as a couple. As always the service and overall ambience was excellent. The food selection, including the specials was very good. There is a predominance of fish, rather than 'grill', but that's what we like. For starters we had the chowder and the goats cheese. Neither were particularly exciting. The chowder was rather bland. My wife had the 'hake' special and I had the coconut monkfish for main. My wife's dish was superb, mine was nice/good. No veg supplied with mine, only fries. Overall, the meal was disappointing for the prices charged. Hence the rather low 'Value' rating. €100 for 2-courses plus wine for two is in the medium-to-high price point. If we go back it will be on Tuesday, when there is a half-price wine offer!!

O'Connells Restaurant Donnybrook
135 Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, D04 HX46, Donnybrook, Dublin

The restaurant markets itself as a "casual dining" venue. Our experience from this one visit is that it is more medium-to-high end, in menu variety, quality and price. The 'old pub' ambience worked well. The food was excellent, the menu offered a great selection of main courses and the wine selection was very good. We really enjoyed every course. The 'free cocktail & canapes to start were a nice touch but not material to the meal. The Shiraz we picked disappointed.but other than that a very enjoyable meal in very nice surroundings.

Armada Hotel
Spanish Point, Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, Spanish Point, Clare

My wife and I spend two relaxing days/nights in the Armada using a LivingSocial voucher. The deal was 2B&B + 1 dinner. Great value. The hotel doesn't have any leisure facilities which is strange as it appears to market itself to families. The rooms are mostly family size. There were a good number of your non-school age kids in the hotel during our stay. The main bar is large doesn't have any atmosphere but the front bar is 'old style' and a much better place for an enjoyable drink. The hotel is located on a spectacular headland, with great views. The local beach is great for a walk and there is a 9 hole golf course within walking distance. It is approx 3km into MilltownMalbay, walkable! In an area famous for its traditional music we were disappointed that the hotel didn't have anything on either night of our stay. The staff we not well informed on what was on in the town either. The food was very good in all cases: bar meal on our first night, main dining room on our second night and breakfast. The staff were very friendly but not always best informed or knowledgable. Overall, we had a very enjoyable few days and would recommend the hotel as a good place to stay if you were looking for a touring base in West Clare.

Akash Indian Restaurant
7 Georges Ave, South Co. Dublin, Blackrock, Dublin

Akash is a restaurant our family use reqularly for take-away meals but we have only dined there once some years ago. Recently my wife and I had the pleasure of a very enjoyable evening with a two course meal at Akash using a deal voucher. The menu choice was excellent and all 4 dishes (2 starters and 2 mains) we had were delicious. All items were reasonably priced and would have been good value even without the voucher. The waiter was very knowledgable and attentative The dining room appears to have had a make-over and it was very pleasent with nice background music. The only negatives were in relation to the drink - a limited wine choice and no beer. When asked about the lack of beer we were informed that there was some licence hick-up. However, the wine on offer was adequate, with snipes and a number of half bottle choices. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Our party of 4 had planned to got to another restaurant but on seeing the set menu option on the board outside this established we decided to change our mind. It turned out to be a great decision. There was a very good choice on the set-menu and unlike what sometimes happens with set or Early Bird menus the portions were good-to-generous. The presentation and food quality was top class. We had 4 different starters and 4 different main courses. All were dispatched with total satisfaction. There was a good wine selection, and the house wines @ €20.50 were reasonably priced. Our casual booking for 18.15 had beeen taken with the priviso that we vacate the table by 20.30. We had through this might have been just 'marketing spin'. But as 20.00 appraoched the restaurant was already full. There was a good buzz in the place with a your lad playing guitar & singing. The kitchen was visable (like in the Hells Kitchen programme) from our table which added to the overall ambience of the place. The only negative I can think of was the tables were packed in, with very little room between them. So possibly not the place for a romantic dinner for two. Overall, top quality food, very well priced (2 course €18, 3 course €23) with good service all adding up to a very enjoyable evening.

Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We've eaten here twice in the past 6 weeks. Both times using LivingSocial vouchers. Fantastic value deals. One of the vouchers was for a different restaurant that had ceased trading but it was honoured by the common owner/manager. No hassle, no fuss and a pleasure to deal with. Both visits were a resounding success. We experemented (within the meat section - well it is an Argentinian restaurant!) with menu choices on both ocassions and were not disappointed. The food was perfectly food to order and portions were generous. There is a very good selection of wines with Argentinian wines very prominent. Service was efficient and staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant is one big room, with a cosmopolitian but still warm and welcoming ambience. Highly recommended, even if you don't have a deal voucher. We'll be back.
