Group menu was great value! 28pp for prosecco, 6 tapas and deserts . You choose 6 dishes and they bring out enough of each for everyone. The nachos and parma ham rolls were demolished for sure! Lovely atmosphere, we really had a lovely evening. Hence the reason we keep returning, cant fault the place at all. Good wine selection too!

A welcome discovery. Busy Sunday afternoon but greeted and seated quickly. A very extensive menu, something for everyone. Food was very homemade, tasty and hot. Service was fast and value was amazing! HIGHLY recommend

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Delicious food served surprisingly quickly. I had the Chicken Massaman which I absolutely loved. Instant reservation confirmation and a follow up text which was nice. Pleasant chatty atmosphere, personally speaking I hated the tables for 2, where we were. Banging elbows and folding coats and handbags over each others. I wouldnt eat at one of those tables again. Staff werent very attentive, but not rude or anything. Just had finished our meal after asking 3 times for some water, but I suppose that sounds petty. Looking forward to visiting again, ideal buzz in the restaurant for groups. Looking forward to trying a cocktail or 2 next time around.

Lovely little place. I adore the decor and atmosphere. Ideal place for a catch up over some lovely cocktails. Food was faultless, tasty and fresh and bigger than expected portions too. Definitely recommend x

The Bombay Bistro
Main Street, Clane, Kildare

Forgive the outside impression. Great value at 36 for 2 people including 4 cobra beers. Food was nice, no complaints, nothing too special, but wasnt expecting it. Staff were very friendly and polite, and I must admit, I thought the Tikka Masala sauce was yummy, and ate way to much with lots of naan bread. This is the ideal drop in spot if you want "take away" served at the table. Cheap as chips, and stuffed to the gills.

Osprey Bar
Devoy Quarter, Naas, Kildare

Late dinner for 3 on Thursday night. Was absolutely delicious. The service was very friendly. Potato skins are lovely, with a carbonara type sauce filling, but be warned, the portion was huge! You simply must try the beef noodles, only for other people in the bar, I would have drank the sauce leftover at the end! Deserts unfortunately were a huge let down, stale cheesecake! Overall, very nice and would return anytime!

Jacks Bar & Dining Area @ Killashee House Hotel
Killashee, Naas, Kildare

We had a wonderful lunch last Wednesday for my daughters confirmation. The little room off the bar was absolutely perfect for our group, as my sister in law was anxious about eating out with her toddlers. Our food was all excellent, and our service was perfect. We had such a lovely afternoon, everyone was so impressed. Especially thanks to John who didnt even flinch when we arrived with extra unexpected guests, even though the bar was packed at the time. We look forward to our next visit and wont hesitate to highly recommend Kilashee for our next event

Caseys at the Brooklane Hotel
Brooklane Hotel, Kenmare, Kerry

Only 2 stars for atmosphere, simply because I was the only person in the bar during my visit!! I really wanted to try the smokies, as Im a beginner fish eater... Unfortunately they were not on the menu, but my very friendly waiter offered to speak to the kitchen, and the chef agreed to make some for me. Amazing fresh bread and tasty local butter accompanied my lovely bowl of smoked haddock, cream and tomatoes. I absolutely polished them off with a nice glass of white, while sitting beside the fire. The interior is really nice, and Im sure there would be a lovely buzz when its busy. I would and will be back in a heart beat, if just for the smokies alone! Thanks :)

The Bay Restaurant @ the Kenmare Bay Hotel
Sneem Road, Kenmare, Kenmare, Kerry

Lovely restaurant with very friendly and efficient staff. Our meal was included in our hotel stay (2BB1D), and I was most surprised to see that we had almost the entire menu to choose from without supplements! Soup was very tasty, fresh and piping hot with very large portions. Would have liked perhaps a Caesar Salad option for starters, but thats only because I personally dont like fish. Other people with us had fish to start and main and raved about the freshness and the presentation. Duck was super tasty with a nice zesty fruit sauce. And high praise for the cheese board with a lovely selection. Overall, one of the nicest hotel meals I have had in a while, and while very family friendly, possibly not the best for a romantic couples dinner.

Tenors Grill Room (Naas)
Fairgreen Street, Naas, Kildare

We had a lovely girly birthday dinner here last week. Fantastic service, delicious food, all served with a smile. The value is fantastic here, without seeming "cheap". Everyone cleaned their plates, we had lovely wine and were very impressed with the "bottle of wine for every 4 people" offer, which meant we had 2 bottles free!!! It came in at €195 for the 8 of us, 3 courses each and wine!! You couldn't beat that with a big stick!! Thanks Tenors, look forward to seeing you soon x

Little Caesars (Harcourt Street)
The Harcourt Hotel, 59 Harcourt Street, City Centre South, Dublin

7 of us visted last night, and unfortunately we just missed the Early Bird Menu. Huge selection on the menu, and we liked the fact that there is no childrens menu, just half portions of the regular menu. Our service was wonderful, and although the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, there was a nice buzz. All our pastas and steaks were delicious, served piping hot and tasting extremely fresh. Pizza was gobbled by the smally with us!. Not overly crazy on the toilets being shared with the hotel next door, almost feels like an afterthought! Would HIGHLY recommend the Lumpy-Bumpy Cake for desert- I think its named after the cellulite it causes but its yummy! Will be back for sure, thanks for a lovely evening!

Lahinch Tandoori
Church Street, Lahinch, Lahinch, Clare

We had a lovely dinner here on Saturday night after a hard days surfing! Service was impeccable, lots of attention given. The menu had plenty of offer, with good descriptions, (Im a novice in Indian!). Buttered chicken and coriander naan bread washed down with a nice bottle of Saugivnon Blanc... Not too fancy, but spotless clean with a nice atmosphere... will be back for sure on our next visit.

Spurs Family Restaurant
U42 Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Liffey Valley, Liffey Valley, Dublin

Ok, 3rd time lucky, thought we would give Spurs another shot. Well, thats it they have had their chance. There are too many nice restaurants out there with special offers to eat another bad meal here. Place was empty when we arrived, but waited absolutely ages for our meal. Starter was garlic bread to share, a soggy roll tasted microwaved, and tasted like a frozen supermarket one. Presented on a plate that it didnt fit, with no cutlery or napkins. And somehow when you ask someone for something you are told " I'll get your server". My pork on a roll for main was actually quite tasty, and the chips and onions were flavoursome if a little cold. Our child had the enchiladas, and it was literally chicken in KETCHUP on a tortilla. Not an acceptable dish at all. Hubbie had the burger which he said was ok but lacking flavour. Service was very slow, and we actually never got refilled drinks before we paid our bill, even though we asked before the mains arrived. Not worth the money, when there is so much compeition out there. The menu looks lovely and I always feel that the place has the potential to be SO much better.Sorry, Spurs, but you are not for me.

Lynhams Of Laragh
Laragh Glendalough, Laragh, Wicklow

We have eaten here over the last 6 years, after having our wedding here, and the food is amazing!! Last weekend, we had carvery, bar food and dinner in the restaurant. The carvery is always very tasty, extremely resonably priced, with big portions and a large variety. Im a big desert person, and Lynhams always delivers! Im not a fish-eater personally, but one of our party said the rainbow trout was the nicest he had ever tasted, and he would return simply for that! I love the vension sausages, always nice to have some local food and the Wicklow Lamb is fab. Service and atmosphere cannot be beaten here, and the surroundings are so nice, its like a little piece of peace, and not too far away!!! We will be back, year after year.

Boss Byrnes Bar and Restaurant
Canal View, Sallins, Kildare

An extension of my own kitchen(although of course, I dont cook anything like a professional chef- I mean I eat here constantly!!! :) ) I just love the food and the atmosphere here. Very friendly service, and lovely place for families. Great value on the menu, especially with the "Free Kids Meals" offer. Staff here are never fazed by fussy requests by fussy eaters like myself. The fajitas are to die for, steak sambo is lovely too! The carvery can get quite busy on Sundays, but thats a good complaint. Recommend the pasta cabonara, nice homemade flavour. Great food, great prices, great service. Highly recommended.

L'Olivier
3 Limerick Lane, Newbridge, Kildare

Last minute booking for my mams 50th Birthday on a recommendation. Well, let me now pass that recommendation on. The place is tucked up a little sie lane, but that makes it exclusive as opposed to "back street". The menu here on Menupages is not a reflection of their main menu, perhaps they should update it. Child friendly, but if your in a group, I would suggest asking for upstairs tables, where its all laid out like outdoors, with large patio umbrellas etc.. I phoned and mentioned it was a birthday dinner, but PLEASE be warned, you CANNOT bring a cake yourself, and need to order one in advance from them. I was not informed of this when I phoned, and its not on the information here, so I was a little annoyed. But I asked could they put my candles on a dessert, and they obliged. 8 for dinner, so mixture of everything. Garlic bread lovely, but the spring rolls are to die for! They are gooey cheese in filo pastry, more mozarella sticks than anything. Steak, Veal Burgers and Chicken with Mushroom Sauce on Risotto was all polished off, with plates scraped clean!. Childrens menu includes ice cream and drink, and jr was delighted with her freshly cooked, stonebaked pizza. Try the house special dessert, even comes with coffee on the plate! Probably more suited for a romantic dinner, than a large group, as its quite quiet, but a lovely place, and highly recommended!

Ryans Food Company
Unit 8 Naas Town Centre, Naas, Kildare

Great range of food on the menu, that's my problem, can never decide!. All tastes fresh, with a carvery style counter service. Also delicious paninis and sandwiches made to order. Always has a nice busy feel, and its ideal whether you fancy a cuppa and a scone to take a break from shopping and a chat, or a nice lunch/dinner to save you from cooking. Quite child friendly too, I find its ideal, and a relaxing option to a fancy restaurant with the kids.

The Storehouse Restaurant - Closed
Friary Lane Naas, Naas, Kildare

Had dinner here for my birthday, and unfortunately we were the only diners in the place! (On a Sunday Evening!). The decor is lovely, and there is a really special atmosphere. Wasn'T quite blown away with the food however,I thought it was a little overpriced. The steak was cooked to perfection, but I had a taste that perhaps the "char grill" lines were on the steak beforehand. Staff were extremely friendly, but I wont be running back in the near future. My big let down was the sticky toffee pudding, which I think came straight out of M&S.!!!

Bistro @ The Tower Hotel Waterford
The Mall Waterford, Waterford City, Waterford

Dinner for 22 here on Saturday night. Food was seamlessly served, with no huge delays. Pleasant and friendly staff, and there was something on the set menu to suit everyone. Apple Crumble for desert was yummy too. Would recommend this restaurant if you are close by, and its ideal if you are staying in the Tower Hotel.

The Bridgewater Inn
Canal View, Sallins, Kildare

Im a regular here, and although like the other poster said the menu hasn't changed, if it aint broken.... I just love the bangers and mash here, with a tasty red wine and onion gravy. And if you happen to be there on a day when sticky toffee pudding is on the menu, all the better. Lovely atmosphere, you can really relax and enjoy the setting. Baileys coffees are yummy too. Have tried most items on the menu, and haven't had any complaints so far. Certainly if you did, the pleasant staff would try to assist you.

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a lovely meal here last night, which was washed down by delicious cocktails! Good atmosphere, very tasty starters to share. Jack Daniels sauce over steak cannot be beaten! One of our party was celebrating her birthday,so she got the whole waiting staff clapping and singing to her. To watch a friend turning red, is worth eating here alone! Would definitely be back, lots more on the varied menu to sample!

The Laurels (Clondalkin)
Main Street, Clondalkin, Dublin

High standard pub grub. Slightly slow on the service, but sure, enjoy a pint while you're waiting! Love the steak sandwich and the pepper sauce is to die for. Can get extremely packed on a Sunday for carvery, especially on match days, but a lovely place all the same.

Pattaya Thai and Chinese Restaurant
9th Lock Road, Nangor Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

The lunch and early bird menus are great value for money. Have found the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful, even showing our 6 year old how to use chopsticks for her noodles, and supplying her with her own set to practice on!! Have been here in a large group and just as a couple, and have never noticed any drop in standard. The perfect Sunday afternoon alternative to pub carvery.

Mongolian Barbeque
7 Anglesea Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We ate here for the first time on Saturday, the late sitting. It didn't seem to be that busy at all. In fact we didn't have to q for our food to be cooked. I'm a plain Jane eater, so was a little nervous heading in, but found the food very tasty. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere is cosy. First dish was a disaster, so it was great to head up again and mend my ways. Loved the desserts, the rhubarb and strawberry tart was amazing. But "Death by Chocolate" has been done to death in all the restaurants, I was expecting maybe something with a little imagination. Ideal first date I can imagine, with the food being an ideal ice breaker!!!
