Have been for lunch many times, went on a Monday around a week ago, there was only one server & one bartender, we ordered & waited 25 minutes, I got what I asked for but my friend did not, the server did not explain why the other meal was wrong or how long it take...when we asked the bartender he said it would not be long....we left as we were on lunch & had already wasted the guts of 40 minutes. I was very surprised by the lack of service, I might take the advice of others & order ahead.....but why should I when I can go elsewhere & be served promptly.

Tamara Restaurant
Unit 11/18 Belgard Square, Tallaght Town Centre, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin

Went for a meal one Thursday evening, went at 7pm and had no booking, we were seated straight away. The entrie place was full and the staff were very plesant. Food was really good I had the fillet beef in black bean sauce. Will go back....really enjoyed the evening.

Eden Bar & Lounge
Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Went one evening after work with some friends, the portions are huge & everything is served with a side order, (pasta dishes with a choice of salad, wedges or mash!). Really friendly staff too. It's a nice spot during the week must try it at the weekend. Good value for money.

Ashford Oriental
Main Street , Ashford , Ashford, Wicklow

I have moved to Wicklow in the last few weeks & am really missing a good quality take away...stopped in Ashford last Friday evening for take away & was really pleased with the food from Ashford Oriental.I had fillet beef which was excellant, the curry was thin but it was tasty. Sweet & Sour chicken was had also which was very good. Will go again.

The Long Mile Bar and Bistro
Long Mile Road, Dublin 12, Walkinstown, Dublin

I met friends here last week for lunch & had the smoked chicken salad as a main, it was nice. The others had a beef curry & roast beef dinner both of which were good.€10.50 each. Our server was a lovely lady who was very warm & chatty. Nice for a work lunch.

The Egg Cafe (Avoca Rathcoole)
Naas Road, Rathcoole, Dublin

Enjoyed lunch there a few days ago,it was so good I had the chips in duck fat with the garlic mayo & chicken, really good would go back tomorrow, it is a bit pricey for lunch but well worth it. Waiter was very charming & nothing was too much trouble.

The Goat Bar & Grill
Goatstown House, Goatstown, Goatstown, Dublin

It's just ok, they do have ample parking & the sizzling chicken is the best thing on the menu. If they are busy don't expect much. The staff are very pleasant & always ready to take your order. Don't go in the back door as you might think you are in an old folks home.... they have a glass area which the elderly seem to like.

Ashtons GastroPub
11 Vergemount, Clonskeagh Road, Clonskeagh, Dublin

I have had lunch here twice a week for a few weeks now. It is quite pricey for lunch but really good quality food, the soup is really good, the salad bar is a bit ltd but they do have fresh salmon, prawns, crab & cooked meats every day & lovely breads. The staff are super always helpful. Like another user I have noted the old guy who insists on helping you to park.... eh go away. Will always return.

An Poitin Stil
Naas Road, Rathcoole, Dublin

The Sunday carvery is open @ 12.30 if you get there shortly afterwards you can expect a good carvery meal. Veg choice is ltd. Avoid at all costs on a GAA match day, bus loads of people land on the place & it goes from being nice to being a disaster. Price for two meals €24.

Shirleys Palace
Unit 20-22, The Plaza, Park West, Clondalkin, Dublin

I found the portion size far too big, ordered spring roll & got two large greasy parcels of stodge. The mains were large too & served with greasy chips & sticky rice. We skipped desert. For me it's quality not quantity...Skip it, if you like good food.

Howards Way (Churchtown)
11 Braemor Road, South Dublin, Churchtown, Dublin

Found the food really nice, good quality and quite tasty. The biggest downfall is the fact the tables are too close together.... you can lean across & touch the other diners. Granted we went on a Sat night & you would expect the place to be busy. Might try it for lunch one day.

FXB Monkstown
3a The Crescent Monkstown, South Co. Dublin, Monkstown, Dublin

Was brought to FXB's for my birthday, we had a fantastic evening!! Steak was really good & house white was great too!! I was surprised by the lovely waitress with a birthday cake & she sang "Happy Birthday" to me. The cake was small enough for two & they made it for me & they did not charge us for it. We have been many times since & just love it. It is now a top favorite for me.

Joels Restaurant
Newlands Cross, Naas Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin

I used to work here about ten years ago; I thought it was a nice enough place up until recently. The menu is very limited, lack of salads & healthy options. The car park is beyond a joke & the fact that it is now on the forecourt of a petrol station! The cutlery is wild...like something you would see in a truck stop (used to be a truck stop about 15 years ago.... think it is heading back that way)

Little Caesars of Rathfarnham
Rathfarnham Orchard, Butterfield Ave, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Would have been a huge fan of Caesars in the past but think it needs a major overhaul...menu & staff. If you fancy a getting close to strangers at the next table you will like this place. It is over priced & too rushed regardless of the day you visit. Give it a miss.

Greens Restaurant
Leopardstown Inn, Brewery Road, Leopardstown, Dublin

Had dinner here a few times, love it. Food is great, selection is good & staff are really helpful & friendly, cannot wait to go again.

Eddie Rockets (Tallaght)
The Square, Shopping Centre Tallaght, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin

I cannot believe this place remains open for business, so overpriced & not the cleanest either, I have eaten there many times but now I can breeze past without ever wanting cheese fries or a chocolate malt...I dropped in one evening after work & was shuffled in to a booth while the remains of another diner was wiped off the table. Ten minutes later our order was taken & a further 10/15 minutes it arrived looking flung together. The bill was €34 for 2 burgers, 2 milkshakes & 2 fries. Not cheap or cheerful.
