Flawless experience! My party changed in size a number of times and again on arrival but this did not prove to be a problem which I was very pleased with. The service was excellent and definitely put to the test by some of my hard to please guests. I know all were very happy with each dish but I have to say my rib eye is one of the best I have had in Dublin. We rounded off the evening with some more drinks while listening to the resident pianist who was very amusing. My only disappointment is that I hadn't tried Town Bar & Grill sooner!

Ballymaloe House
Shanagarry Midleton, Midleton, Cork

I have relations in Cork that we visit each year and with tradition enjoy a visit here. It hasn't changed much since i was a kid. I'll agree this isn't an every day kind of restaurant but is a fantastic treat. I've always found the food excellent and the service cannot be faulted.

O'Reillys Bar & Steakhouse
Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, Ormonde Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Went with a group of guys on Saturday night. The restaurant is nice, what you'd expect for a steakhouse. The steaks are good and really liked the pepper sauce, although anyone who ordered medium well got well done (not me though, I was happy!) The only problem was the service, nice guy but didn't have a clue. Waited over 1/2 hour for menus and orders, then another 45 for the food to arrive (just mains). Asked where it was and he just stared off into the distance squinting like he was waiting for it to come over the hill or something! Ordered a couple of pints which come from the hotel bar, would have been quicker going in myself and drinking them in there. Overall a nice place but management need to focus on training staff a little batter and not to argue with customers.

La Vie
1-5 Exchequer Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I dropped in here the other evening with my wife, we were actually on our way to another restaurant but this place looked great. The decor is very welcoming and comfortable. We sat upstairs at the back, service was very attentive and food excellent. I was suprised because its new, defo a new contender in the area.

Golden Mill Restaurant
Sarsfield st Kilmallock, Kilmallock, Limerick

I've been a few times when i stay with friends and i know what the last review means about the toilets but its a small price to pay for such quality food. Lovely traditional decor and the staff are very friendly. Recommend it!

Delizia
4 The Mart, Leopardstown Road, South Dublin, Sandyford, Dublin

Excellent Cafe/deli that I never knew of. Went for lunch today and we had a couple of Panini's with coffee. This is a lovely place with top produce, I recommend the Delizia with parma ham, mozzarella, sundried tomatoes and pesto....very tasty. Compared to other cafe's around the area it cant be beaten for quality and the coffee is great too.

Leon Brasserie
Trinity Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I'm a fan of Leon already but i love what they've done with the place. I dont know of many places with a nice terrace to enjoy a meal without putting up with passers by staring at you, i'll be quite content with this place though. Food is fresh and reasonably priced and service as good as the other locations. Hadn't reviewed the others but no-one has posted here yet so i thought i'd say well done Leon!

The Grove Bar
Willow Grove, Delgany., Delgany, Wicklow

I agree with previous review. Excellent quality and lovely pub. I think the only one in the area that catches the evening sun...lovely in the summer to sit outside. Its got full WiFi access which i was surprised by but very handy.

Cafe Sol
William Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Was on a lads weekend away and 15 of us visited this restaurant. The service was excellent, you can imagine trying to keep 15 lads relatively quiet...i was cringing at point but no complaint was made. Most had fillet steaks which were very tender and cooked perfectly but i thought a little pricey at €29, that matches some of the best restaurants in Dublin. I hurried the lads out as quickly as I could and would love to return!

Flanagans on the Lake
Ballina, Killaloe, Limerick

I took a detour here on a recommendation while taking a family trip to Tralee. It was more for me as I'm a big steak lover while the wife is vegetarian. Even though its a steak house she loved the prawns and my fillet was perfect as expected. I thought a little pricey as it was only a quick stop off for us but the food was great. Would go again and recommend it.

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

You dont get many new places to eat in opening around this area. I work locally so went with a couple of colleagues and were impressed. We had lunch and were in and out in about 40 minutes even though they were busy. Nice menu, food quality is pretty high but at an average lunch rate. If you work in the area and want a change i recommend it.

First time in South William a couple of weeks ago. The decor is pretty cool and staff very welcoming. As for the pies....gorgeous! My wife is vegeterian (restaurants nightmare!)and only wanted a quick snack, she enjoyed it as much as i did. Definitely a pie fan and will be back!
