Bits and Pizzas restaurant
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Area Code: South Co. Dublin
Reviewed 15th August 2011 ( visited 12th August 2011 )Had a gorgeous meal here with my boyfriend using the €30 MenuPoints voucher. The restaurant is lovely and has a nice atmosphere. The staff were really nice. We each had the €18.90 value mean and had three courses. I had the garlic bread to start and the lasagane with caesar salad for main. Both dishes were piping hot and delicious. My boyfriend had the hawaiian pizza which was lovely too. For dessert, the chocoloate brownie was gorgeous! Really impressed with this place, I would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 6
Reviewed 21st May 2009 ( visited 13th May 2009 )I had heard a lot of good reports about Tribeca so I decided to go there for lunch. I have to admit, I found that it was over-rated. The food was nice, too expensive for what it was though. I didn't like the chips. I had a chicken burger which was nice and good quality chicken. My friend ordered a Crab and Salmon Caesar Salad which came without the Salmon! Service was a bit slow! The hot chocolate was gorgeous though!
Merry Ploughboy Pub
Edmondstown Road, Rockbrook, Rathfarnham, Dublin
Had heard great reviews of the food in the Merry Ploughboy so decided to bring American relatives here for dinner. The atmosphere is great and the food was delicious and excellently presented. The battered cod and chips was really tasty. I would definitely recommend the homemade burger! The service was good. Will be returning.
12A Wicklow Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Came her with a party of ten people. Lovely spacious restaurant. We had the Special 3-course menu for 20 euro which was very good value. Only fault is one of the waitresses was a bit rude and we were not provided with free prawn crackers until we asked the manager. The food was all hot and fresh and tasty. The chicken curry, chicken satay skewer, spring roll and singapore noodles were delicious. The service was good. Would recommend.
Little Caesars of Rathfarnham
Rathfarnham Orchard, Butterfield Ave, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin
I have been going to this restaurant for years and I love it - especially since they've introduced the early bird menu which is fantastic value. The staff are always pleasant and efficient and the past few times I have visited I couldn't fault the food. The Pollo Diavola and Tagliatelle Pollo Funghi are my favourite dishes. The chicken wings to start or else the garlic bread. They do a gorgeous garlic mayonnaise too and a great hot chocolate!
The Old Orchard Inn
76 Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham, Rathfarnham, Dublin
Ate here recently for the first time in two years and I was disappointed with the food. I used to love the food here - the menu used to be more varied too and they had a delicious lasagne which has been taken off the menu for some reason. The chicken was poor quality and the presentation was sloppy. The food tasted over-cooked and bland. I have always heard good reviews about the food here so maybe it was a bad day. Might try it again in a while to see if there is an improvement.
Eddie Rockets (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Unit K (cinema block), Level 2M, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin
I love Eddie Rockets and Dundrum is my favourite as it is always hot and fresh. The new cheaper menu is great and much more affordable with plenty of variety. I love the Bitzy Nachos and the Variety Baskets are gorgeous. I would recommend the slider burgers or the subs too. The Shake Shop next door is delicious - every flavour you could think of!
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin
I decided to try Nandos as my friends had recommended it and I also bought their sauce recently and liked it. The peri-peri sauce is delicious and spicy. Portions are good and menu has a wide variety of chicken dishes. Reminded me of an Eddie Rockets. Fine tasty food for a quick bite to eat.
Main St, Templeogue Village, Templeogue, Dublin
Have eaten here a few times. The carvery is lovely. I would recommend the lasagne or the blackened cajun chicken. Lovely food for a pub but it is owned by the same people that own The Eden pub in Rathfarnham so the menu is the exact same but I have found The Eden to be nicer in terms or atmosphere, food and staff.

I got take-away from this chinese restaurant. I wasn't expecting it to be great but was pleasantly surprised. The dishes we ordered were really tasty! The chicken curry is lovely with a slight coconut taste in the curry sauce. The black bean noodles were delicious. Would definitely recommend for take-out.
16 Orwell Rd, Dublin 4, Rathgar, Dublin
Really like the idea of this noodle bar. Food is hot and freshly prepared. Unfortunately, I tried the Pad Thai Noodles which I didn't like the flavour of at all but my friend went for the Chow Mein which was lovely. Portion sizes are generous. The way the dishes are served in the white boxes is a nice touch. Would go again.
Di Bella Cafe
Hogans Place, City Centre South, Dublin
Lovely cafe. Lovely clean interior and friendly staff. Food is always fresh and hot. Authentic and varied menu. Would recommend the lasagne or carbonara. The spanish panini is also lovely and the cajun pasta.
Hoky Poky Coffee Shop
Charlotte Mall, Charlotte Street, Newbridge, Kildare
Lovely little cafe in Newbridge! They have a great variety of homemade, fresh dishes, all delicious. Nice atmosphere with lots of seating, friendly staff and the desserts are unbelievably good; especially the warm chocolate brownie - the best I've ever tasted!
Unit 6 Woodstown Shopping Centre, Ballycullen Road, Knocklyon, Firhouse, Dublin
Fortune Chinese Takeaway has really improved over the past few years. Their food is always fresh and hot and really good value and they have a prompt delivery service. I would recommend the breast of chicken curry and the beef in blackbean noodles. They have recently opened a chipper too within the same restaurant which isn't great but the chips are nice.
Victoria House Asian Cuisine
5/6 Nugent Street, Station Road, Kildare, Kildare Town, Kildare
I love this restaurant. I have been here a few times and the food is lovely. The staff are nice too and very accomodating. The last time I was here, I ordered a combination starter and as I don't like Won Tons, I was able to get extra spring roll and spare rib instead. Their chicken curry is gorgeous, it is quite spicy too. I would also recommend the shredded chilli chicken, duck panacakes and singapore noodles. The food is always fresh and hot. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin
I wouldn't usually be a fan of Thai food but I loved this place. The food was gorgeous! I had chicken satay to start which was the nicest chicken satay I've ever had. Then for the main course I had the Thai Red Curry which was also delicious. The food was hot, fresh and nice presented. I will definitely be returning and would definitely recommend it.
Main Street, Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin
I love this chinese! I have only started going here over the past two months but it is gorgeous food and great value for money! The best dish I've tried here is the Breast of Chicken Curry diced. It is the best curry I have ever had from a chinese and the chicken is of really good quality which is hard to find with a chinese take-away. However, I didn't really like the Singapore noodles there as they were really dry. The chicken in black bean sauce is another good dish. The chips are also nice for a chinese. It is always really fresh and hot and the staff are friendly. I have only had take-away from here but I am planning on eating in the restaurant soon. Would defnitely recommend it!

Howards Way (Churchtown)
11 Braemor Road, South Dublin, Churchtown, Dublin
Fantastic little cafe! Provides the perfect fry-up for the morning after the night before! Meat is good quality and portion sizes are great as is the presentation! Menu has great variety for a cafe! Also, the chicken ciabbata is delicious! I haven't been for an evening meal but would definitely recommend!
Eden Bar & Lounge
Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin
I have to say this is by far the best pub food I have ever tasted! The pub itself has been fully redecorated and is a lovely pub with a different, inviting layout. The food is absolutely gorgeous: good quality; always fresh and hot; great portions; great presentation; and really fantastic taste! The blackened cajun chicken is delicious as is the lasagne, chicken salad and pasta! Its difficult to decide what to choose to order as each dish is so nice! I have not yet found a problem with the staff so I was surprised at previous comments! The fries and sautee potatoes are also unbelievable! The food is also reasonably priced! I have no complaints, I most definitely recommend this pub for food as you are gauranteed to be blown away by the food.
Spurs Family Restaurant
U42 Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Liffey Valley, Liffey Valley, Dublin
Really nice steakhouse with a friendly, fun atmosphere. I have had to wait for a table a few times but that isn't a problem, it only emphasises its popularity! Steaks are always cooked just how u ask for them. Starters (woould recommend the nachos to start) and main courses are equally packed with flavour and taste gorgeous! Chips are lovely and the onioon rings which came with each steak were delicious, added great flavour to the meal! Free-drink re-fills are an added-bonus and the staff have always been particularly friendly! Only minor complaint is it is a bit over-priced.
Eddie Rockets (Terenure)
Terenure Road East, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin
I enjoy Eddie Rockets and find the ones at Terenure, Stillorgan and Dundrum to be the best with regards to cleanliness/food/staff. I used to always have the chicken tenders but they have changed them lately and they aren't nice anymore so I would now recommend the cheese burger or the club sandwich which is also delicious! I love the chips there and accompanied with garlic sauce they are amazing! Chocolate fudge brownie is definitely to be tried! Perfect restaurant for a quick, tasty bite to eat in a fun atmosphere!
Scent Garden Restaurant
1st Floor Scholars Pub, Ballycullen Road, Tallaght, Tallaght, Dublin
I go to this restaurant whether for eat-in or take-out nearly every week. I have yet to be disappoointed! Food is always lovely, hot and fresh and extremely tasty! Staff are extremely pleasant also. The Yuk Sung and Crispy Spring Rolls are gorgeous! I tend to stick to similar dishes as they are so delicious and my favourite three are: Beef or Chicken in Black Bean Sauce; Beef or Chicken Curry; and Chicken Chow Mein. The rice is always cooked perfectly and fluffy! Each dish I've tried is packed with amazing flavours and is mouth-watering! I have introduced many friends and family and they all have become great fans also!
Lemon Tree - Blessington
Main Street, Blessington, Wicklow
I recently ate here with my boyfriend. I wasn't expecting anything too great as the other chinese restaurants in Blessington aren't great. However, I was pleasantly surprised as the food was hot, fresh and delicious. Staff were very friendly. However, the restaurant itself was very cold! We had the combination platter for starters which was absolutely delicious! Our main courses were chicken chow mein and beef in black bean sauce which were both lovely. (The chicken meat isn't that great!) Dessert was also lovely and the chips are delicious which is surprising for a chinese takeaway! Would definitely recommend!
Little Caesars (Harcourt Street)
The Harcourt Hotel, 59 Harcourt Street, City Centre South, Dublin
I have been going to this restaurant regularly for years (and also to other Little Caesars locations). I do not understand how some of the reviews haven't been too great. I have never had a bad experience. The food is always hot, fresh and extremely tasty! The place is always packed. Without a doubt, the 3 best dishes are: Pollo Alla Diavola (char-grilled chicken breasts); Tagliatelle Pollo Funghi (mushroom and chicken in a creamy white wine sauce with tagliatelle); and Penne Alla Paesana (vegetarian penne pasta with peppers and aubergines in a tomato sauce - can ask for it with chicken at no extra charge). Each dish I've tried has been gorgeous, so much flavour and always cooked to perfection! I've introduced many of my friends and family and they all love it too!! Definitely reccommend!!
