Little Gem of a Chinese!! Like most reviews I went for the 'All you can eat menu' - which is great value to taste as much as you like (duck; prawns; chicken; beef etc)....the food is excellent; the level of quality is consistenly good and such is the service they automatically bring the wine we like...a must visit if you come to Drogheda.

A beautiful Saturday evening - no coats; windows down and a very comfortable drive to the shores of Malahide. Having reviewed on Menupages - I was truly looking forward to the night. STOP....please enter a very very busy restaurant and it all went down hill from there. The service was pleasant but the food and value did not live up to its reputation. Dried Chicken skewers to start; followed by Prawn in Blackbean - nothing amazing....but the cost of nearly €110 per couple on the night was way overpriced. I would 100% give this venue a miss. Peploes Wine Bistro
16 St Stephen's Green, Dublin , City Centre South, Dublin

Peploe's is one of my all time favourites...been there at min. 1-2 times monthly in approx. 2-3 years. 90% of the time the food is great and I really enjoyed our long weekend lunches/business meetings & girlie nights. BUT recently I tried to host my engagement party (first date memories etc)....but from the start of this joyous booking it all ended badly....we had to cancel (due to the list of rules for parties +6 - I was politely informed they didn’t need my business) which resulted in a €1200+ gain for one of their neighbours.. DISAPPOINTING FROM ONE OF THE GREATS....

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

First time to Saba. For a quick bite to eat after work this is your venue. Service is prompt; great Value for Money (€15-€16)....I enjoyed the Duck Sprinkroll followed by the ultimate Thai dish Massamam curry (I would have liked a little more chicken) but for the price - how can you argue. The ONLY comment is the Reservation Service - when ringing to Book I was told twice I need to vacate in two hours....the day before I got a reminder text Again - you need to vacate in two hours and then when showed to my table - you have this for two hours......perhaps relax on the two hour information bursts not the most inviting...

Gemelles
23 Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

We visited Galway for my Boyfriends Birthday. Gemelles was the location for our romantic Saturday evening meal. Both pretty full from a late lunch so we only needed a Main course and perhaps a sneaky dessert. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. I ordered Stuffed Aubergine and a side order of duchess potatoes and my other half a rack of lamb. Ragu sauce and vegetables is something I would expect as a student and the lamb was meant to be cooked medium - five separate cutlets and all with varying degrees of cooking (Medium, very well done, burnt....)and to top it all...everything was cold. Needless to say we didn't bother with dessert. I wouldn't recommend.....
