I ate there last Saturday with 3 other people and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was very reasonable and very tasty. The staff couldn't do enough and our waitress Roseanne was very very helpful with the picking of the wines and remembered what each one of us had ordered. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back.

Meghna Tandoori
8-12 Terenure Place, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

I ate here last Sunday week and found the whole experience enjoyable. The staff were fairly friendly & attentive but wouldn't attempt to pour you water or wine. The starter of mixed tandoori platter was nice and the mains were nicer and full of flavour and spice. Would definitely go back again as it was good value too

Paparazzi
Unit 4 Old River House, Templeogue, Dublin

When I first tried Paparazzi I was disappointed as it was a Sunday evening and all our food tasted like it had been made that morning and reheated for us. I wasn't in a rush to go back but went back a few weeks ago for a girly Saturday lunch and the food was 10 times better than before and I really enjoyed it. The staff were nice too.

Tante Zoes
1 Crow Street, Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

I just LOVE this place and can't get enough of their delicious plantation log and swordfish. There's always a fantastic atmosphere and the staff are great. You gotta try their jugs of sangria-type cocktail mmmmmm

Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I love the chicken wings in this place and would go solely for a portion of them. It's such a pity they don't take bookings as this is a great place I would go more if I was guaranteed a table on arrival

TriBeCa
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

We can never get a reservation here when we just find ourselves in Ranelagh but recently we tried their wine bar upstairs as a last resort as everywhere else was fully booked. The selection is fairly limited and it's all cold dishes. We had the crab and meat salad, which there was plenty of. There is a lovely atmosphere and the wine list is extensive.

The Dropping Well
Classon's Bridge, Milltown, Milltown, Dublin

Consistently nice food. Lovely setting although always full of old people out for Sunday lunch.

Lemongrass (Liffey Valley)
Arc Bar, Liffey Valley Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

I really like Lemongrass but always seem rushed. The food is always quick, fresh and hot.

Greens Restaurant
Leopardstown Inn, Brewery Road, Leopardstown, Dublin

I used to go here a bit but recently on a Sunday evening when we went we were so disappointed that we vowed we would never go back. We waited 10 minutes for a menu, 40 mins for someone to take our order, 30 minutes for a glass of water and had our starters over with when the wine arrived. The young inexperienced staff seemed stressed even though there were fewer than 20 diners in the whole restaurant. The food was not like it used to be, is nothing special at all. After waiting another 15-20 minutes after asking for the bill and it not showing we had to go to the counter to pay, with not as much as an apology. Never going back

The Goat Bar & Grill
Goatstown House, Goatstown, Goatstown, Dublin

The goat is fine for a quick bite to eat or more recently a breakfast. Usual pub grub and nothing more

profile_review

Johnnie Fox's Pub
Glencullen, Dublin Mountains, Glencullen, Dublin

I have eaten here a few times but most recently for my friend's birthday. We had the mahi mahi fish which was gorgeous and the music really made the night. I find the food overall a little over priced and over rated but it wouldn't stop me going

The Gables
McCabes Wines, The Gables, 1 Torquay Road, Dublin 18 , Foxrock, Dublin

I have only ever eaten brunch here and it's really nice. The staff are friendly enough although always seem so stressed. There's a lovely family atmosphere here on a Sunday morning.

Fortune Restaurant
Unit 6 Woodstown Shopping Centre, Ballycullen Road, Knocklyon, Firhouse, Dublin

This is my local Chinese take-away and it's grand for the odd Friday or Saturday night in - nothing special and definitely not recommended for use as a restaurant

TGI Friday (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Awful awful awful.....always untidy and dirty. The food never seems fresh and is completely overpriced

profile_review

Milano (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

I have eaten here a few times and each time I leave asking meself why I have chosen to eat there. When they first opened Milano served tasty but small pizzas and fairly large generous salads but each time I go I find the standard of food and portion size has decreased.

First Floor Bar & Brasserie @ Harvey Nichols
Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin

We ate here for the '8 things to eat before you die' and it was an absolutely fantastic night. The food was delicious and the wines were unbeatable. The staff were very efficient too. The only problem I would have is that the portions were a bit too small and left you always wanting a bit more. The desserts were a bit bigger so you left feeling fairly full in the end. A really recommended night out

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

I have eaten here a few times and like this type of food, however I find it very overpriced for practical asian fast food. The staff are nice but you always feel they are rushing you out as soon as you have eaten

profile_review

Brannigans Dundrum
Dundrum Town Centre Dundrum, Dundrum, Dublin

I have eaten here a few times and like the food. The staff are always so friendly. We haven't availed of the dinner and cinema promotion as it seems you need to book this well in advance. Overall nice food for a quick bite before/after shopping/cinema

The Purty Kitchen (Dun Laoghaire)
3-5 Old Dun Laoghaire Road, Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

We ate here on Easter Sunday and found it quite nice. The seafood was lovely and fresh. The surroundings aren't anything special but would definitely go back.

The Merrion Inn Bar & Kitchen
188 Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin

As I work in the area I have eaten here on numerous occasions. The food is just ok and the sandwiches nothing special either. They charge you an extra 40/50 cent for toasing an already overpriced plain sandwich!! Their evening menu isn't anything to write home about either

profile_review

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I have eaten here quite a lot but have found in recent times that the quality of food has slipped a little. The atmosphere is always great but the staff are fairly unfriendly at times. Love the early bird too - great value

Sawadee Thai
94 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Dublin 6w, Terenure, Dublin

I went here for the first time last Saturday night. The food was gorgeous and really reasonable but my only complaint would be that the tables downstairs were too close together. We could overhear the people's conversations on either side, which was a little uncomfortable and cramped. The staff were very friendly. With starters, two mains and bottle of time for under 75 Euro - we felt it was great value. Will definitely go again soon.

Bijou Bistro & Wine
46/47 Highfield Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin

I went here last week for dinner and was very disappointed to hear that they've stopped their Early Bird menu. We opted for the restaurant upstairs, which took a while to fill. The staff were really nice and tended to our every need. We were a bit disappointed with the brief menu and their extortionate prices i.e. 25/27 Euro a main course!! For starter we ordered 'fish cakes', which turned out to be one very small fish cake. We were further disappointed when we saw the size of the small steak and mini piece of sea bass we were actually served for our main course. My partner had to ask for an extra side order in order to feel slightly full. The food itself was really tasty but not worth the prices we paid. Next time we'll be trying the cafe downstairs.

Kundan Tandoori
Unit 4 Tallaght Retail Park, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin

I ate here recently and really liked the food - nice flavours. However I didn't like the restaurant surroundings too much. I think I'll go with a take-away in future

Choices Restaurant
Main Street, Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin

I agree that this restaurant has gone downhill recently. There doesn't seem to have the cosy atmosphere it used to but the food quality has stayed the same. It's good for a quick bite not a long romantic evening

profile_review

Vermilion
94-96 Terenure Road, Dublin 6 , Terenure, Dublin

I went to Vermillion on Saturday night and thought the food and service were great. The staff were friendly and polite and overall it was lovely experience. Will definitely go again but will try the early bird option, as the a la carte menu was very expensive. August '07 update - tried the early bird menu and was very impressed. Great value and yummy food. We were very impressed that the manager remembered us and asked after us and my parents!!

profile_review

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I find this place extremely overpriced for very average food. The service is always really slow and the place is far too loud. Most of their food is deep fried and not fresh. I would not recommend eating here.

Bianconis Bistro
232 Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin

As I work in the area, and there is a severe lack of nice restaurants for lunch around, I have been for lunch too many times here. I have never enjoyed any of their extremely overpriced food. On more than one occasion I have had problems with the staff and the rude managers (husband and wife) who run the place. It always seems that they are too busy for even a half smile and whenever there is a problem i.e. insects in customer's lettuce, 30 mins to wait for a panini, they are too busy for even an apology. I would never ever recommend this place for lunch or dinner as they don't seem to appreciate your custom or the amount you pay for 3 small salads (11.50)! Stay away.

profile_review

Baan Thai (Leopardstown)
Central Park, Block P, Dublin 18, Leopardstown, Dublin

I have been here a few times with my partner and we always love the food, although the portions have been getting smaller with time. The staff are always very friendly but it's missing a bit of atmosphere that their other restaurant in Ballsbridge has.

profile_review

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have been here loads of times and love the food, atmosphere, wine etc. We are always looked after very well by John, the manager and owner. I was a little disappointed the last time I was there to see the prices creeping up a little but overall I always thoroughly enjoy my nights in Salamanca.

Chrysanthemum Chinese Restaurant
Unit 1 Old Orchard Inn, Butterfield Ave, Dublin 14, Rathfarnham, Dublin

I have been here a good few times and each time I leave disappointed. The food is very overpriced and the staff extremely rude - especially the manager. I wouldn't recommend it
