My fiance and I ate here a couple of months ago after getting a deal on menupages. I can't fault anything about it. i'm usually slightl weary of deals for lunch/dinner as sometimes you get a very basic menu and depending on where it is, you do often get treated slightly differently. Not here though! Staff were amazing..it was very quiet as it was a Friday afternoon..we were given the full menu which was very impressive. The deal was for 2 mains & 2 sides and wow was the food amazing. I've never tasted anything like it. Highly, highly recommend this place and the wine is fantastic as well. Was very relaxed also, lovely atmosphere.

Siam Thai (Malahide)
1 The Green, North Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

We were out in Malahide last weekend in May with family and were trying to find somewhere to eat (that actually had a table)...pretty much everything was booked up so we chanced our arm and tried Siam Thai. The girls at the door were great, even though they were obviously very busy and everything was fully booked they managed to give us a table and I was very impressed with that. As they were so busy, the service was kind of slow but the food made it worth it. Food is amazing, very tasty and very authentic. The only negative I would point out is there was a newborn and a toddler in our group and we were seated at the back, nowhere near the front door and it was extremely warm where we were. Temp outside was in the mid-twenties and yet there was no air con turned on where we were and the 2 children eventually started to sweat and got very red in the face so we asked the staff to switch on the air con unit. I'm surprised no one else had said anything as it was quite uncomfortable. Can't really fault anything else, really nice place to eat.

Acapulco Restaurant
7 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I LOVE mexican food. My husband and I had our first dinner date here about 6 years ago and we booked dinner here last Saturday for our 1st wedding anniversary dinner. The decor is always amazing, you walk in here and it immediately looks and smells like a mexican restaurant. Have always loved the food here but I have a couple of negatives about our most recent visit. I don't agree with anyone giving a review that says the staff are amazing. For the last few years, whenever I come here..you may get seated pretty quickly but takes forever before someone comes to take your order. This time round...we placed our order...got the jalapeno poppers to start and we both got the fajitas..I got prawn and my husband got the chicken & beef. Jalapeno poppers were very tasty, they always are. The fajitas were a little disappointing. The hot plates the filling is served on only stayed hot for about 15 mins. They are usually roasting! usually the fajita wraps are served covered in what looks like a little steaming basket..they came this time with no lid and they went cold very soon after we got served. I think our biggest criticism is the staff. Not ONCE did anyone come over during the time we were there to see if we were enjoying the food or to see if we wanted more drinks. I thought this was very, very poor. THEN to top that off....when we got our final bill...what should have been about a €60 bill was €122! Turns out they had placed another table's order on top of our order. You would think the staff would have checked that first before giving it to us. This is a great mexican restaurant...the only thing I have faulted in the last few years i've been coming here is the staff. They really need to up their game..it really does take away from a visit. I would still go again but I don't think I have tipped the last couple of times I've gone here..that says it all.

SALE e PEPE
The Diamond, Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

My husband and I decided to eat here last Sat as we wanted to try somewhere new in Malahide we hadn't eaten before. We would normally go for The Greedy Goose or The Scotch Bonnet. The place was empty, which suited us. We got a lovely seat near the window which was great. Service was pretty swift and we were given menus straight away. We chose the two course early bird for €21.95. For starters we had the duck spring rolls which were very tasty and the plum sauce they were served with was lovely but to be honest as lovely as it was..I wasn't that impressed. For main my husband had the minute steak with chips and pepper sauce and I had the pasta with hake and prawn in a tomatoe sauce. While both mains were very tasty and portions were fair there was nothing truly amazing about either and honestly, they both looked and tasted like something we could have made ourselves at home. There was nothing about any of the dishes that would push us to go back again or recommend it. We left pleased with our meals but slightly disappointed. I think we'll stick to what we know the next time.

Wrights Findlater Howth Restaurant
Findlater House, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

My husband and I ate here last Sat. We spent the afternoon out in howth and wanted somewhere quiet and away from the groups of people. We had never eaten here before but i'd heard good things about it. We decided to eat up in the restaurant as the bar downstairs was a little noisy and i'm so glad we did. There was only one other couple there and was peaceful and quiet. We nabbed a seat by the window looking out at the water which was lovely. We ordered a lovely bottle of white wine and decided to get the calamari for a starter. The Calamari was perfect, not too greasy at all, great taste and the seafood sauce they served it with was gorgeous! For the main I had the special which was the seabass with mashed potatoe, green beans and a bur blanc. My husband decided to try the pasta with chorizo and prawn with a tomatoe sauce. Both were just lovely. The fish was cooked perfectly and everything on my plate tasted great. My husband never eats prawns and he absolutely loved his pasta dish. The service was great, the food was a little slow coming out after the starter but it was worth the wait. Was the perfect ending to a lovely afternoon and I would definately eat here again.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had lunch here with a friend on Sunday and I had booked the early bird deal via menupages which was 1 starter + 1 main course & there was also a complimentary glass of prosecco as we booked via menupages. Restaurant was very quiet as most people were outdoors due to the amazing weather but I was very impressed with the stylish decor. Service was very good..we got seated straight away and my friend even asked if she could have a main & dessert rather than the starter & main and they let her do this which was nice. Menu was decent, really nice food, really good choice and I got the calamari for the starter and the chicken with mozzeralla and some kind of red sauce for the main..I got salad with this. I have to say..food was tasty but mine really wasn't that amazing. For what we paid for the deal, was definately worth it but it just lacked a bit of flavour? The sauce was red enough, I thought it was going to have a real punch but it actually didn't. Salad was just basic. My friend got some kind of pasta dish for the main and then got the death by chocolate for dessert....I didn't taste her pasta but she seemed to enjoy it and the dessert was just basic. I wouldn't mind coming back again to taste the tapas as I hear they're amazing but I wouldn't run back to the restaurant based on the food we had on Sunday.

KC Peaches Wine Cave Nassau St
28-29 Nassau St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I booked the latest deal for my fiance and I last Friday. 4 mains + 2 sides for €35. I have to say - I was VERY impressed with the menu we were given. I'm often a little weary of these deals, especially when you're given a different set menu from the main menu but we were just given the normal menu and full wine list and we were told that it was in fact ANY 2 main dishes each plus any 2 sides. Just as well we were starving! I got the scallops in a lemon and beetroot butter & I also got the crayfish and chorizo linguini and all I can say is OMG....absolutely delicious! My fiance got the duck and then the steak and for sides we got the root vegetables and potatoe gratin. The potatoe gratin not only had garlic but also had a hint of lemon which was very unsual and just absolutely gorgeous. we got a lovely bottle of rioja to wash it all down. The service was just top notch - was fairly quiet as it was a friday, early evening but the girl that was serving us couldn't have been more attentive and we didn't feel like we had bought a deal at all (sometimes some places do treat you differently). I will definately go back here - not sure I'd pay the full price on the menu for the scallop dish I got but we both agreed haven't had food this nice in a long time and same for the service.

Bombay Bistro
55, Main Street, Rush, Rush, Dublin

Really good deal for what we got included. We hadn't eaten here before but had gotten takeout before and the food was always gorgeous. First impressions of the restaurant were very cosy & relaxing, nice atmosphere and we were seated straight away. The only thing I would say, re first impressions is that the waiter could have smiled a little. We got seated and to be honest, initially I wasn't impressed with the service as we were sitting there a good 10 mins before we even got any water or before we were asked what wine we wanted (there were 2 glasses included in the deal). However, once we got the wine and once the food arrived it made up for the wait. The waiter even let us know our food was taking a while longer as it was all made fresh, which was fine. Lovely food, very, very tasty - served on hot plates (which is always a bonus, not all restaurants do that). The wine was delicious and once we'd received our final bill, the waiter even poured us both 2 more glasses of wine to finish off the bottle FOC! So, I was very impressed with that. We will definately go back, great value for the €30 deal I got, well worth it.

Pacifico Restaurant & Grill
Marine Court, The Green, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

I brought my fiance here on Saturday evening as a surprise for his birthday. I had booked a really good deal on menupages which was 3 courses PLUS a glass of wine for 2 people for €30 ( either €30 or €35). It was quiet enough as we had our table booked for 5.30 but very cosy, good lighting (maybe a little too bright over the table lol). I have to say, I wasn't impressed that there was no one there when we walked in to greet us and see us to our table - we could see people in the kitchen and we waited maybe 3, 4 mins before someone came out and saw us to our table. Not a HUGE deal but they might want to watch this. So, we had to pick from the early bird menu which was fine as the choice is really good. I had a look at the menu beforehand so had a good idea what I was going to get...I had the tomatoe and chilli soup with avacado and nacho pieces to start..delicious! Just the right amount of spice..my fiance had the tortilla I think with potatoe, onion, chorizo..that was yummy too...we got a glass of malbec each and even the wine was lovely. For the main we decided to pick two different things and just share....we got the chicken fajitas and the chicken enchiladas....OMG....i've never had tastier mexican food - would compare to Acapulco on George St as that has always been our favourite restaurant..until we ate here! The enchiladas were amazing -perfect portion - the flavour was amazing - just the right amount of cheese (mouth is watering just thinking about it)...the fajitas were extremely tasty, everything in the skillet was perfectly cooked and the only negative was we didn't get enough of the tortillas to wrap everything in but by the time we finished the enchiladas we kind of didn't need them! The dessert included in the deal was just ice cream or sorbet but we had a look at the dessert menu and my fiance got the coconut custard with hibiscus jelly and coconut on the top - I got the lime and almond tart...again...amazing!

Chilli Shaker Indian Restaurant
River Mall, 32-36 Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

My boyfriend and I have eaten here a couple of times and the food never fails to satisfy. We also order from here when getting take out as it really is the best value indian restaurant in swords. Our last visit, I had the chicken tikka chilli massala and this is hot! Very spicy, very tasty. My boyfriend got the chicken madras which was quite similar but not as spicy. We had pilau rice with this and some boiled rice and we also got a portion of chicken chunks in this mango type sauce, can't remember the name of it - was on the starter menu and it's delicious. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself is never overloaded with people so it's always just the right atmosphere. Really like this place, would highly recommend it to anyone. If you like indian of course!

Greedy Goose
15 Townyard Lane, Malahide, Malahide, Dublin

My boyfriend and I ate here a couple of weeks ago after it was recommended by a friend from work who had eaten here and said it was amazing. First impressions when we walked in was very, very cosy...a little bit tight but still plenty of room. We got seated straight away and were given our menus. As we wanted bits from each taster menu we decided to order our portions from the full menu. We also got a lovely bottle of italian wine. Both of our first courses were just average and I was worried then we were going to be disappointed but the next 2 courses plus the dessert more than made up for the 1st course. My boyfriend got the roast rib of beef wrapped in bacon and it was THE most amazing piece of beef I have ever tasted. I got surf n turf which was lovely and I also got the cajun medalions of chicken which was extremely tasty & mouth watering. I think the best part for me was the dessert - I got the trio of creme brulee, mango sorbe & lemon merangue and I have to say...it is the yummiest dessert I have ever had, I couldn't stop talking about it on our way home and in fact i would drop in just to have a coffee and that dessert again if for nothing else. Definately going back there.

Indie Spice Grill
Burgundy House, New Street, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

This was my second time eating here and I knew the food would be amazing. Great service, very tasty and delicious food. We also picked out an amazing bottle of red wine which complimented the meal very well. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I love indian food and this is one of my favourite restaurants. It's one of my locals also so I will definately be eating here again.
