Myself and my sister had a meal here last night. We were well impressed with everything. The place was packed but we still got excellent service and were not waiting too long for our meals. We got the platter for two to start and everything came out sizzling and very fresh and tasty. We have both eaten Indian and Chinese food before so decided to try something different and both opted for the Himalayan Curry. Wow. Packed with flavour. Came piping hot to the table. The service is attentive without being intrusive. Can't wait to go back.

Sad to say I think this place is going downhill. The new menu is not as nice as the old one and the price of the wine has gone through the roof. We were a party of four on the day in question. The sandwiches came out before the soup. The soup when it arrived was just warm. The fourth member of our group was left waiting about 10 mins after us for her pasta dish. Very disappointing. Toilets were freezing cold and both the mens toilets were blocked. Will not be going back. A pity though because the staff are lovely.

Decided to give this place a go on the advice of a taxi lady who dropped me home recently. I am so glad I took her advice. This is a superb restaurant. Staff are lovely. Service is great and food is so tasty. Great wine list too with not over the top prices. Can't wait to go back. 5 stars all the way

Bought a deal for this restaurant and went with an open mind. Had been in the premises before when it was under a different name. For starters walking in, I thought the place looked amazing. There were a good few people in which is a good sign. My deal included 2 glasses of house wine. Again, because it was a deal I wasn't expecting much. However the wine was well above the quality that I expected. As good as any that I have paid top dollar for in other restaurants. The staff are lovely and the whole place looks great. Even though we were on a deal we were given complimentary poppadums' and dips. I cannot remember the names of the starters that we had but they were so delicious. We ate every bite. For mains I had passanda and my daughter had chicken tikka. Again beyond tasty and great size portions too. I cannot wait to go back to this restaurant again. I know it is being tagged as a Nepalese restaurant but most of the dishes I have found in indian restaurants and I am happy to say that it is better than any Indian restaurant that I have been to in Swords. Can't wait to go back.

The Strawberry Tree-Brooklodge
The Brooklodge Hotel, Macreddin Village, Aughrim, Wicklow

Had dinner here with my husband and two children. The food was out of this world. All organic and it was easy to taste the difference. The restaurant itself is decadent - the nicest I have ever been in. I had the hake and the children had chicken on a bed of pasta. The hubby wanted the same as the children and they kindly obliged and gave him an adult portion. The only downfall is the price. It is really steep. Especially if you are bringing children. The wine is very pricey too at over 8.50 per glass and thats the cheapest. We didn't get starters or mains so 3 pasta dishes and the hake with a couple of glasses of wine came to almost € 170. Cannot fault the food or the service but there was a bit of a sting in the tail when we got the bill. Great for a treat though.

Gourmet Food Parlour Swords

Five stars just doesnt do this place justice. Had lunch here with a friend on Saturday and as always, we came away feeling happy and just so pleased with our afternoon out. The staff are amazing and the food is even better. The only problem is what to choose. The menu is extensive. I had the bread selection with pesto and hummus. Ate every morsel. Woth noting that I finished the pesto before all the bread was gone and they topped me up with pesto at no extra charge. My friend had the chicken and as she wasnt sure of how spicy it was going to be they allowed her to try before she ordered. Same with the wine. We were given a taster to make sure we got the right one. Thats the type of place that it is. I cannot reccomend it enough. The place has doubled in size recently - without losing any of the atmosphere. It's a real treat. Cant wait to go back.

Swords Garden Chinese Restaurant
U 7 Castle Shopping CentreSwords, Swords, Dublin

This is a little gem of a place. Was here on 8th Dec for my Dads birthday and it was just the best. The restaurant has been totally revamped since last time and it is stunning. Its a cosy intimate restaruant. The picture on profile does it no justice at all. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions as a few of us decided to try new things on the night. Everything we ordered was perfect. They do a fantastic early bird for € 14.95 and that INCLUDES a choice of a beer or glass of wine. The menu is extensive and the food is super fresh. The wine list is quite limited but very very good value indeed. We will be going here much more regularly. Excellent food. Excellent Service, Excellent Value.

Essence Bistro
75 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Myself and my girlfriend were overdue for a catch up lunch and all we knew was that we would meet mid-way between our two houses in Swords. So I consulted the menu pages website and decided to give this place a try based on the ratings. We were not disappointed. It deserves applause. The ambience in the restaurant is lovely. The waiter was attentive, funny and full of knowledge of the menu. I had the onion soup which was delicious. My friend had the prawn starter and it was beautifully presented and packed with juicy prawns. Both our mains of caesar salad and shepherds pie were excellent. And despite the restaurant having a lunch time closing of 3pm, the waiter allowed us to stay much longer to finish our chat without making us feel uncomfortable. I am so glad that we came here and I would love to return some time with my hubby.

Masterson's Steakhouse & Wine Bar
17 Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Went here last week with my hubby for an early bird. WOW. Super value and food was just top notch. As was the service. Even though the placed was packed, we were given just the right amount of attention from the staff. My husband ordered a carafe of wine but when it came he didnt like it. The waitress took it back at once and offered to allow him to taste from some other carafe options so he could be sure that he was happy. Now thats service. The food was so tasty. It was piping hot and came promptly. The whole experience was great and we left with that feel good feeling of having enjoyed a superb meal for a very reasonable price. Cannot wait to go back.

SALE e PEPE
The Diamond, Main Street, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Went here last night with my husband and it was so disappointing. We knew the place was a bit pricey so we decided to go for the early bird. First we were brought some bread. 3 triangles of bread between the 2 of us. I mean, thats less then a slice of bread between two people. Then the starters came out. My husband got just one spring roll on a few lettuce leaves. Tiny portions, but in fairness to the chef very tasty. We both had the fish which again was very tasty but with very few chips. But we could have overcome this if the overall experience was good. It was not. We were seated close to the service area and we could hear the poor staff being ordered around. They were running like headless chickens. They never once smiled at each other or at us. It was uncomfortable to say the least. We will not be going back.

Seabank Bistro
Coast Road, North Co. Dublin, Malahide, Dublin

Having read the comments on this place, myself and my partner booked a table for last Wednesday - and we are so glad that we did. Even at 7pm the whole place was full (But I suppose the capacity is small anyway) the restaurant is charming with a lovely holiday atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I don’t think the prices are too much off any other restaurant in the area - but the quality was second to none. Will definitely return - and will make sure to book in advance so as not to be disappointed.

McLoughlins Restaurant @ Roganstown Hotel
Roganstown Golf & Country Club, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

Went here for lunch on Saturday with my sister and we were so glad that we picked this venue. The staff are attentive without being too intrusive. I had the trio of fish on a bed of risotto and it was quite simply the nicest meal I’ve had in ages. My sister had the chicken, which came on a bed of sun dried mash potato. Again, the plate was cleared. I would recommend this place to anyone. I can't wait to return.
