A fine feed indeed! starter platter was delish, particularly the big fat prawns!

Camden Rotisserie
37 Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

eaten here a few times now and yet to try something I haven't loved! (their chips alone are enough to bring me back!) I was organising a meal out for work crew recently.... and seems they're always very busy for lunch these days so we went for dinner later on as there was a big group of us. All worked out great as they've just got their wine license now, - all 10 of us loved it and all 10 will be coming back for more! I recommend.

il Divo Restaurant
2 Terenure Road East, (Above Comans), Rathgar, Dublin

went recently for the €50 for 2 courses each +wine. Excellent value. food was very good. only gripe - and it's a big one for me - was the complete lack of atmosphere. Nothing to do with decor. the place is nice, but empty. Maybe it was an unusually quiet night, but we were one of 2 tables, .......just felt like we were eating alone in a big hall. Otherwise all good.

Montys of Rathgar
88 Rathgar Road, Rathgar, Dublin

nice food, very nice dining room, attentive service. there was live singing going on which was alright, but was quite loud - had to really talk over it to hear each other.

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

went to the dundrum one just recently. loved the DIY menu choice. burgers were great, but the quarter-pounder size was plenty if you're having side orders I'd say. will deffo go again

Little Jerusalem - Rathmines
3 Wynnefield Road, Dublin 6 , Rathmines, Dublin

took the bird here last night for dinner just the two of us. I've marked it down a bit for atmosphere coz it was empty, but the food was very good with generous portions priced nicely too. Tiny table meant putting some stuff down on the floor to make space, but the bring your own booze deal is a bonus and makes this a very good value meal out. I recommend it.

profile_review

Bewley's Café
Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

had lunch here recently and really liked it. went for the carrot cake after which was very nice, and their coffee is good as ever. would definitely go again.

profile_review

Brioche
51 Elmwood Avenue Lower, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

good friendly and personable service. nice menu with plenty choice. very busy when we visited but this hustle & bustle adds to the atmosphere I always think.

profile_review

The Morehampton Brasserie (Previously the The Restaurant @ Donnybrook Fair)

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant

Howards Way (Rathgar)
8 Orwell Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin

had brekkie here recently. Nice fry. seating here is a little cramped when full, but has a nice cosy buzz about it. would go again.

profile_review

Pizza Hut (Dundrum)
Unit CSA, 2M Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

A bit run of the mill I think. Always know what you're getting though. The "all you can eat" is good value if you've got the appetite.

profile_review

TGI Friday (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Decent grub, but poor value given the pricey, pricey prices. Enjoyed my burger have to say. Won't be rushing back though.

profile_review

Dante (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Went here for pizzas recently. It was quite good though not special. Service was friendly. Comfortable atmosphere.

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (Citywest)

Great burger joint altogether. Malt milkshakes are lovely. Really like the chips 'n' dips too. Always a reliable option.

Jaipur Restaurant (George's Street)
41 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Good indian food. Nice atmosphere. Particularly liked the lamb kebab. Will definitely be back!

profile_review

Bijou Bistro & Wine
46/47 Highfield Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin

Ate in the restaurant upstairs. Had scallops for starters and the fillet of beef for main course. Both were very good. The desserts were very average, especially considering the prices. Service was excellent.

profile_review

Wrights Findlater Howth Restaurant
Findlater House, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

Had lunch here recently. Found it a bit average to be honest. Definitely inferior to other places nearby in Howth. Grand as pub grub I suppose.

profile_review

Aqua Restaurant
1 West Pier, Howth, Dublin 13, Howth, Dublin

Nice atmosphere. Wasn't overly impressed with the choice of starters, but main courses very good. Try the venison or the seabass. Both were high quality. I love seafood!

profile_review

The Purty Kitchen (Temple Bar)
East Essex Streer, Temple Bar, Dublin

Nice seafood. Good service, staff were very friendly. We all enjoyed our meals. I particularly liked the chowder. Recommended.

profile_review

The Oar House Fish Restaurant
8 West Pier, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

Nicest meal in a long time. Good, fresh food and very tasty. Service was a little slow but staff were very friendly. Definitely coming back, excellent food and great value.

profile_review

TK Thai II - Currently Closed
69 Orwell Road, Rathgar, Rathgar, Dublin

Beautiful restaurant outside Rathgar village. Very relaxed atmosphere, lovely rooms with tasteful decor. There's a nice quiet bar upstairs where you can have a drink before or after your meal if you like. I ate here recently with my partner and they brought our desserts up to us so we could eat upstairs sitting on the sofas. The staff are very polite and welcoming, and attentive too. We had the early bird menu, which was very good value at €15.95. The platter selection for starters offers a brilliant variety of tasters, and my massaman lamb curry was delicious. Best Thai food I've eaten in Dublin. I strongly recommend TK II's.

profile_review

Comans Rathgar
2 Terenure Road East, Rathgar, Dublin

very decent pub grub fare in more comfy surrounds than your standard pub. prices are fair but not special.

profile_review

Johnnie Fox's Pub
Glencullen, Dublin Mountains, Glencullen, Dublin

Very touristy, but not without atmosphere. Get a seat beside the fire if you can. My starter of crab claws was very nice.

profile_review

Czech Inn
Essex Street - le Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

Decent pub grub, but not somewhwew you'd go for a proper meal out. Nice range of beers though.

profile_review

The Real Gourmet Burger - Dun Laoghaire
The Pavilion, South Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Very nice burgers. Chips were good too, although the portion was a little mean. Would certainly go again.

profile_review

La Cave
28 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Early bird is very good value at €16.95. The recommended wine went perfecto with our food. Would definitely try again.

profile_review

L'Gueuleton
No 1 Fade Street, Off Georges's Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Came here mid-week recently without booking and there was no wait for a table. Food was lovely and the service was good too. Authentic French cuisine without being pretentious.

profile_review

Ukiyo
7-9 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This place is great for a night out or a bite to eat. They do a very reasonable early bird. The beef is excellent. All the staff are friendly and attentive.

profile_review

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Can be hit and miss, when it's good it's very good. But sometimes I leave feeling a little unsatisfied. I particularly like the open canteen atmosphere and the shared tables.

profile_review

Paparazzi
Unit 4 Old River House, Templeogue, Dublin

Good Italian food. I had a pizza and my girlfriend went for pasta. Both were nice. Will try again!

profile_review

Harrys Kitchen Restaurant

Nice place, although a little cramped. Very welcoming, . Staff friendly and efficient. Enjoyed my chicken sambo!

profile_review

The Eagle House
18 Glasthule Road, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

A bit average. Food wasn't as good as I remember it from years back, but the staff were nice and friendly.

profile_review

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Nice atmosphere, very cosy. The food was lovely and the service was excellent as well. Definitely going again!

profile_review

The Steps Of Rome
1 Bird avenue, Clonskeagh, Clonskeagh, Dublin

Delicious pizza, but restaurant area is quite cramped. Probably better as a quality takeaway than eat in restaurant.

profile_review

Zaytoon (Lower Camden Street)
44-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Highly recommended. Best late night fast food in Dublin. Very good quality, and generous portions. I'll keep coming back, and won't be surprised if a third one opens in the future.

profile_review

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

I liked this place. Simple, organic, food and drinks, nice decor, decent prices. Will definitely be trying again.

profile_review

The Bay Restaurant @ Walters
68 Georges Street Upper, South Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Nice place out in Dun Laoghaire. Quality food. Try the Grilled Fillet Steak, you won't regret it.

profile_review

Royal Garden
Terenure Road East, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

Standard Chinese fare. I've had takeaway from here a few times. It's nice enough, but I don't think I'd bother paying much extra to eat the same thing in a restaurant. It's only good takeaway-quality really.

profile_review

Merry Ploughboy Pub
Edmondstown Road, Rockbrook, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Nice place. Good pub food. I had the fish & chips, which were very good. Might go again.

profile_review

Taco Taco
Unit 19 Epicurean Food Hall, Liffey Street Lower, City Centre North, Dublin

Top notch Mexican food. Better than I've tried in a lot of more expensive places. Great value!

profile_review

Millers Pizza Kitchens
50 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

Not cheap, but good quality food. Very varied selection. Will go again some time.

profile_review

Indian Ocean Dublin
15 Montague Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for the early bird a while ago. Very good value. €19.95 for 5 courses (that's poppadoms & dips, starter, main, dessert, and tea/coffee). My Pasanda was alittle sweet, but would try again.

profile_review

Victoria Chinese Restaurant & Take Away
4 Main Street, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, Clondalkin, Dublin

Proper Chinese food. Early bird option is good value. Try the chow mien.

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (Terenure)
Terenure Road East, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

I like Eddie Rockets' food. Good burgers, good fries, and I really like those chocolate malt milkshakes. Pretty pricey though.

profile_review

Eddie Rockets (Rathmines)
Lower Rathmines Road, South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

I like Eddie Rockets' food. Good burgers, good fries, and I really like those chocolate malt milkshakes. Pretty pricey though.

profile_review

Mongolian Barbeque
7 Anglesea Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Good fun. Don’t know if I'd rush back though. Despite the choice of being able to choose your own ingredients, I found most things tasted fairly similar. I took advantage of the all-u-can-eat deal and had 7 helpings. Never felt so bloated. I regretted it for the rest of the night..

profile_review

Zaytoon (Parliament Street)
14/15 Parliament Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Best fast food option in Temple bar. All the meal deals are €10-11, that's for kebab, chips and a drink. Considering you probably pay only a euro or two less for much poorer quality late night junk food, I think it's very good value. The queues at peak times aren't a big deal because service is very fast.

profile_review

Jo'Burger
137 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 , South Dublin, Rathmines, Dublin

I've tried Jo'Burger twice now and found it good but only good. And considering the total for a burger, chips and a drink, in terms of value, it's not very good at all. Jo'Burger is new and different, and offers a varied range of unusual burgers, perfect if you're wanting to sample something funky like a green thai curry burger or whatever. Otherwise, there are better quarter-pounders to be found at these prices. Overrated. xxx

profile_review

Zen
89 Upper Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

My favourite Chinese restaurant. Food's amazing. I recommend #26 - chicken with cashew nuts. Only gripe would be that the portions are slightly on the small side. But overall, Zen has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Dublin.

profile_review

Cafe Moda
192 Lower Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin

Not amazing for food. But coffee's the reason to go. Good coffee, good atmosphere.

profile_review

Royal Tandoori
95 Terenure Road North, South Dublin, Terenure, Dublin

Love this place. Bring your own booze policy makes it so much cheaper. Offy across the road makes this very convenient. Food's good too. I've paid more in fancier restaurants for poorer quality. Very relaxed, and reasonably priced. Check it out.

profile_review

Marios (Terenure)
103 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Terenure, Dublin

There seems to be an abundance of similar pizzerias around now. I think Mario's has been around longer than most. I hope I'm not just being nostalgic here, but I don't think it's as good as it used to be. On my last visit there, I was a bit disappointed to get an only average to good pizza. It just felt like the price of my meal (which wasn't even terribly expensive) was paying more towards my surroundings than my food. I'm sure I'll be back some time, but I'd prefer to try other paces first.
