Love this place. The food is really good and not expensive at all. It is really cosy but busy! If you are with more than 2 people you definitely need to make a reservation. The food does take a good while to come out but it's worth the wait.

Wrights Anglers Rest
Strawberry Beds, West Dublin, Dublin 20, Chapelizod, Dublin

Maybe not easy to find and a car is needed to get here, but well worth a visit. This place is so cosy, especially in the winter. They usually have live music the weekends. The food is great. I love the calamari, the portion is that big that I usually just get a starter and a dessert. The brownie and the cheesecake are lovely. Very childfriendly and family orientated. A must!

Hole In The Wall Phoenix Park
Blackhorse Avenue, Navan Road, Dublin

I come to this place all the time. I'd like to go for a walk in Phoenix Park first and then head over here. One of my favorites. I usually go for the tapas. The prawns are amazing. The chickenwings are a treat as well. The best thing on the whole menu for me though is the brownie. This is probably the best brownie I have ever had. I would come here just for the brownie. They also do a great selection of beers and you can even go to the off license next door and have your drinks in the pub. An absolute gem!

Fitzgerald's Bar & Restaurant
22 Aston Quay, Temple Bar, Dublin

Fitzgeralds will always be one of my favorites. The food is good, service great and a real authentich pub experience. A hidden gem among the madness in the Temple bar area.

Fallon and Byrne
11-17 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had a work due here, so not sure if it matches the actual menu. We have a set menu, sort of buffet style. Loved the bread, garlic potatoes and desserts. The wines are also very good. The staff were really welcoming and kept filling up the glasses. We had a function room upstairs, so not sure what the restaurant is like but will try that at some stage.

Brownes Steakhouse
The Plaza, Blanchardstown Village, Dublin 15, Blanchardstown, Dublin

Went here with my parents for my dad's birthday. We all had a great time and the food was lovely. I had the chicken burger which was massive. The portions are huge. Next time I will go for the steak on the stone as it looked amazing. The girl that looked after us was really nice, she really went out of her way. Will be back soon.

The Eagle House
18 Glasthule Road, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

We had one of those groupon vouchers for a 3 course meal. It is a bit of a strange set up as the restaurant is basically in the pub. Food was good though. We couldn't get prawns with the voucher and only 2 choices for dessert even though this was not mentioned when you booked the voucher, but it was lovely overall. Staff not overly friendly, but still had a really good night.

The Bank on College Green
20-22 College Green, City Centre South, Dublin

Had fish and chips here the last time, which was pretty good. We got a seat in the upstairs area which looks out over the whole place. The staff is professional and friendly. Nice place for after work drinks.

The Church Cafe Bar & Restaurant
Junction of Mary St. & Jervis St., Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Love this place. Have been here many times. It's busy but usually still possible to get a seat if you get there late. Had a burger there the last time, which was really tasty. They also do lovely cocktails.

Jimmy Chungs
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin

I keep coming back to this place. I usually go once every 2 weeks or so for lunch. It's great value. The food is really good and plenty of choice. The dinner menu is nearly the same as lunch, so for the money you pay I prefer to go for lunch. It is always packed and for good reason. By far the best all you can eat chinese in Dublin.

Good World Chinese Restaurant
18 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Good authentic chinese food. Nice staff. Food took a while to come out, but it was busy enough. Would recommend for sure.

Thai Orchid (Dublin)
7 Westmoreland Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had lunch here with my friend yesterday. The set lunch menu is really good value. Loved the chicken satay. Had to wait quite a while so that was the only downside. Staff very friendly. Will go back next time to try the evening menu.

The Italian Corner
23/24 Wellington Quay, Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

This place is pretty okay but there are much nicer Italian restaurants out there. The starters are really expensive and the portions are tiny. My friend had the prawns, they were €10.95 and she got about 5 very small prawns. The chickenwings I had were €7.95 for 6 really small ones. Would definitely never get a starter here again. The pizza's are nice but nothing special. The staff are very friendly though and can not fault them, so I guess this was a plus.

Sanctuary @ Crowne Plaza Blanchardstown
Blanchardstown Town Centre, Blanchardstown, Dublin

I had been here a few times for drinks and really like the bar. When my friend got a dinner voucher through work I was happy to go with her. I have to say that this was one of the worst places I have ever been to. The service was absolutely shocking. It wasn't that busy and there was enough staff but we were basically ingored the entire night. We had a 3 course meal and it took us over 3 hours to finish it. All that time we only had 1 glass of water and despite asking twice for another glass of water we never got it. We had a glass of wine with our meal and not once did anyone ask if we wanted another drink. The waiters must have passed us about 20 times and not once even looked at us. The food was very blant and because it took so long to get it was not at all worth the wait. When we wanted the bill we had to actually get up ourselves to find a waiter to get it for us. I did not expect this from a Crowne Plaza and guess it might have to do with the fact that my friend paid with a voucher but I will never come back here again!

The Carpenter
Carpenterstown Road, Castleknock, Dublin

This is the perfect spot for a nice Sunday carvery. Food is great, big portions and very fresh. There is a lovely atmosphere in the pub and for the smokers there is a big heated smoke area.

Wongs of Castleknock
Ashleigh Centre, Main Street, Dublin 15, Castleknock, Dublin

Went here for my friends birthday with a group of 6. It was a Saturday night so it was quite busy, but there was enough staff to serve everyone. It took the staff forever to take our orders and every time we wanted another drink we had to waive someone down. I wasn't impressed with the food either considering this is compared to other chinese restaurants fairly expensive. I had duck with crab which was okay but very greasy. The portions of rice we got were very small, 2 people had to share a bowl which was barely enough for one person. I would not come back here again in a hurry.

Dakota
South William Street, South William Street, Dublin

Went her for a friends birthday a few weeks ago. Had been before for drinks but this was the first time to eat here. Food is not bad, typical pub grub but nice. Portions aren't that big so I wasn't full after my main course but decided to fill the hunger with a few cocktails. The decor is great and the sofa's are very comfy. I'd say this place is nicer for drinks than food but sure worth a visit.

The Grasshopper Inn
Main Street, Clonee, Dublin

Have been here many times for the carvery on Sunday. The place is always very busy. Food is good and the portions are huge. In the summer they have a band outside and its always a very good atmosphere. Have never had a la carte there but would certainly recommend the carvery.

Flames
Unit 2&3, Ground Floor, Main Street, Dublin 15, Clonee, Dublin

I went here with my husband for our anniversary. We went for the set menu, 3 course meal and a bottle of wine for €56 together. You can pick any main from the menu. The food is excellent. We were so full we were barely able to eat our dessert. The staff are really friendly and helpful and we will be back soon!

Yamamori Sushi, Tengu
38-39 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I love this place, one of my favorites. As it's close to my job I go for lunch quite often but have never been for dinner just yet. The food is really fresh and very tasty. You usually get a free smoothie or juice as well which is a nice touch.

Ho Wun Chinese Takeaway & Restaurant
2 Main Street, Dunboyne, Meath

Great value €16 for a 3 course meal, very tasty. Not the cosiest restaurant but the food makes up for it. Staff helpful and the food comes out very quick. Would recommned the take away as well, my favorite in Dunboyne for sure.

Slevin's Pub
Main Street, Dunboyne, Meath

As this is my local I do come here for a carvery quite often. The food is pretty decent and it's cheap. The pub itself is lovely if it's busy but can be very quiet most days. It's very kid friendly so lots of families with kids on a Sunday, but during the week a good spot for a nice drink.

Koh
6-7 Jervis Street, Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1, City Centre, Italian Quarter, Dublin

Koh really offers some very good food. I was there with 4 friends and we all tried something different and it was all lovely. Good value for money. Some great cocktails as well. Will definitely be back.
