Not a great experience really, they were out of quite a few items which happens over Christmas but some items changed without explanation - had the focaccia which came as cold white toast and nothing was said. Next one person ordered the pancetta salad which came more like greasy fried rashers. Others had sliders went down ok onion rings a bit greasy ribs quite a small portion service was very slow despite being very quiet. Might all be early day problems but don't think I'll return as it was overpriced for what we got.

Fade Street Social - The GastroBar
4-6 Fade Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Really disappointed with both the food and service when we visited the gastro bar for dinner. The food tasted like deep fried mush and there was nothing that appealed. It was really difficult to get the waiter/tress attention despite multiple efforts. Waited 15 minutes to get our bill, we wont be back

Pho Ta Vietnamese Restaurant
6 Cope Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Really great experience at pho ta, quality food fresh ingredients and really reasonable we will definitely go back -a lot!! We tried the nems pork and veggie both delish and the dipping sauce was really good then on to pho for me and the sticky chicken for him both amazing. The staff were lovely and could not have been more helpful place was a bit quiet but it was a Sunday evening definitely give it a try!!

Neon Asian Street Food
17 Camden Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I'm not usually a fan of order at the counter places I always feel the food is just a step above fast food but this was a lovely surprise! We staggered the meal by ordering starters first and this was no problem. We had the Tom Yam soup which was delicious and the duck spring rolls which were yum too, it was a good start so we went for mains! The Pad Thai was really good as was the Sweet and Sour, the portions were huge but they were easy to take home in the boxes they came in. All in all a great reasonable place for a casual dinner, we would return.

Zaragoza
South William St., Dublin , South William Street, Dublin

Ate here last night and we really enjoyed it, as it was a Sunday evening it was fairly quiet. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The portions are really big so two tapas each are more than enough. The food was really tasty, we tried the wings which were delish, the cod tempura both of which were huge, the bravas were lovely as was the tortilla which was a bit on the small side compared to the other options pate was also tasty and the burger was really tasty. Only drawback is that the wine list is quite expensive, they could do with a more reasonable house choice. We will go back through, really enjoyed it and would recommend.

Aprile Ristorante
10 Lower Kilmacud Road, SET MENU ALL NIGHT MONDAY TO FRIDAY, Stillorgan, Dublin

This is a great little spot the value menu is fab and staff are friendly. The crostini and brushetta are very tasty and the pizzas come very thin and crispy which is great. Pastas are good too although the carbonara could do with a bit more cheese as it was a little bland. Great place though and we will continue to go back!

La Dolce Vita - The Chase
Carmanhall Road, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin

Not a great experience overall. The soup was like pureed veg not a soup at all and no seasoning, the pizza was soggy and way too much cheese despite requesting very little cheese and a crispy pizza. Wine was good value but I dont think we will return.

Chapter One Restaurant
18/19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

A truely enjoyable experience from start to fininsh. When we arrived we were seated in the lovely bar area for a drink which was served with yum olives. We then moved to the table where the service from our waiter was excellent as was the advice from the somellier who provied an excellent choice. The food was as good as we'd hoped with all courses being perfectly balanced. the only drawback was is that we were stuck off to the side alcove and not in the main dining area. We will be back, for a special occasion given the cost, but i will be requesting a table in the main area for more ambience.

Fade Street Social - The Restaurant
Drury Street , City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here with my other half. He really enjoyed the pork belly starter and was happy enough with the steak main but not much choice for a veggie, no starter other than bread and I had to rebuild a woodfired which came wrong first time. The staff were really nice about it though and quickly changed it. Overall it was ok but dont think we'll return given the limited options and value for money.

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Overall enjoyed our visit here, staff were attentive and the food was lovely - very well presented. I had the duck salad to start which was tasty and the Tuna for main which was delicious, big portion of fish but the bean salad was a little on the small side. Other half had a ribeye steak which was delicious. One draw back was the noise, with the roof its a bit on the noisy side even for a quiet night in January but we will return.

23/24 Wellington Quay, Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Did not enjoy the meal at all, it was cold night so ordered soup to start came barely warm was starving so ate it anyway then pasta main was also bad - sauce completely overpowered by garlic so couldn't finish. Staff not exaclty friendly either will not return

Ananda
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Ate here for the great value early bird menu and will definitely return! Not usually fans of Indian food but this changed our minds. Great choice on the menu and very helpful staff although a bit odd that the waiter checked his watch before taking our order! Good wine list also with many resonable options. Chutneys with the popadums were lovely very well flavoured. Had the chicken and lamb starters both delicious although the lamb was a challenge as the portion was large- not a bad thing! Mains were the Guineafowl, very unusual served on bed of potatoes with a delicious sauce - absolutely lovely. Also had the Chickpea main which was delicious although not very spicey but our lovely waitress brought some green chilli's which solved the problem. Didn't do dessert as we were stuffed after. An altogether enjoyable experience would recommend

Bistro Martello
1 Martello Terrace, South Co. Dublin, Sandycove, Dublin

Ate here on a Saturday night with a Menupages voucher, highly recommend it, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The restaurant was lovely and cosy when we walked in on a cold night and the staff were very friendly and chatty. We were given a choice of tables and the attentive staff looked after us throughout the meal. We chose from the A la Carte but the specials did look very tempting, maybe next time! I had the salmon to start it was lovely and light, a bit more smoked salmon rather than the mousse would have been nice but that’s just a preference thing, he had the pate and it was delicious, good flavour well balanced by the chutney. Then came the main event! I had the place with crab and it was unreal so light and tasty, the lemon and caper butter added to it bringing all the flavours together. He had the steak with garlic butter which was brilliant but what really added to it was the delicious fried onions which had a light batter, so hard to get right but they nailed it. Clean plates all round. Thought we couldn’t fit dessert but attempted the brownie which was lovely. All in all a great experience and we will return.

Buenos Aires Grill
Unit 2 Castle Way, Golden Lane, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went with a Menupages voucher and really enjoyed it. Service was great really helpful and friendly. Food was lovely not much choice for veggies but that’s not the point here! Partner had the chicken wings to start which were yum but guacamole side was a bit bland, then the rib eye cooked to medium rare perfection - the meat was delicious tender and flavoursome and the chips were deemed the best ever tasted! I had the caprice starter which was nice and the chicken for main which was very good although the accompaniments were in short supply - not great for a big appetite but tasty! Two desserts followed ice-cream was lovely. Overall a great night will return but given the prices will wait for another voucher!

Rustic Stone
South George's Street, Dublin, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here with a group and it wasnt that great. Had heard a lot about the food from others so had high expectations. Had the salmon bites as a starter was ok the yoghurt sauce didnt really add a kick could do with something stronger. Had salad for main again ok but not much of the described ingredients more a large amount of leaves covered in oil so quickly got through the good stuff - not great really. Others had steak on stone good reviews but not great for the price and a few complaints that the sizzle stained clothing but may expected with this cooking approach?! Was told the burgers both glam and lamb were nothing specially really but the acccompying chips were very tasty. Overall ok but bit pricey for what it was - wont rush back

Bijou Bistro & Wine
46/47 Highfield Road, Dublin 6, Rathgar, Dublin

Visited here over the weekend. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite busy - we were seated downstairs and would probably prefer upstairs for a less fraught atmosphere. The food was good but not amazing given the prices it could be more reasonable but it was tasty and we all enjoyed. Starters were good the crab was tasty could have done with some bread though and the parfait was strong but not overpowering. The mains were good all round and there was a nice gap in between. steak was done to order and was great, seabass was tasty but a small portion. the duck was good but the red cabbage was over seasoned with cinnamon - not to everyones taste. One thing service was not great - we were served by multiple staff rather than one waiter which was confusing and as they were quite busy staff were rushing around so took a while to get attention. Other than that it was an enjoyable night - would return if a little more reasonable.

Douglas & Kaldi Terrace Cafe and Restaurant

Ate here Thursday evening - nice location at the back of the restaurant. Tried the Bruschetta - excellent! Great selection of salads got the chicken ciabatta very little filling though particulary the chicken not great value but could have been a one off...other half enjoyed the fosh and chips tasty but a little pricey

The Port House Ibericos
5/6 Pembroke Cottage, Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

three of us visited here for lunch - food was great shared patatas prawns chicken wings all good croquettes were a little bit greasy though overall we were delighted - nice selection of wines by the glass and somewhere a bit differnet in Dundrum good value for money also.

Port House Pintxo
12 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Ate here with a group of friend great food at very reasonable prices. We had a selection of the gambas, chorizo, pan, chicken wings - the patatas bravas r yum and the goats cheese salad is amazing! One drawback though the waitress was a bit surly and as we were sitting downstairs we did get forgotten a bit - had to go upstairs to order more drinks!

Ate here as part of a large party for teppinyaki, great fun. Food was also great with a good selection of meat sauces and veggies so positive all round. Place was quite buzzy for a monday night and great fun was had by all, staff were very attentive it is a little pricey although will return!

La Cuvee @ Eno Wine Bar

Went with large group did the wine tasting first which was fun and then we had the christmas menu. Food was tasty and attentive service although the staff could be a little more knowledgeable couldnt explain the rillets to one of the Group which meant diapointment when it arrived! Overall happy with the food if a little expensive for the portion sizes probably best for Groups

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Four of us ate here on Saturday and it was fab! Food was deliicous for starters the quail was lovely the foie gras not too overpowering, also good terrine balanced by a tastey celerac and the tartlet was yum only disappointment was the fishcakes tasted more of bread than fish probably wouldnt order again. Mains were also great between us we had the duck, sausage and mash lamb and the hake everyone was delighted with their choice and no complaints portions were also more than enough also got a side order of roast potatoes which we fought over they were so nice! no room for dessert and service was a little rushed at the beginning but settled down, over all a wonderful experience and so reasonable we will be back!

Coppinger Row
Coppinger Row, off South William St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here with two friends and overall we were disappointed with the experience, as mentioned by others the service was quite slow and it was difficult to get the waitresses attentions, also disappointed by the food way overpriced for what it was, i went for the seabream and while the fish was nice the olive tapenade was overpowering, dont think i'll go back.

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Good Tapas Ate here with a friend and shared a few tapas- the pinxtos of the day were lovely and the patatas brava very tasty and not greasy- also the med veg was yum the calamari tho was chewy and the batter too heavy neither of us enjoyed. House wine was very good. Overall very enjoyable visit and good atmosphere although it could do with a tad more lighting as the menu was hard to read and we couldnt 100% make out the pinxtos and had to guess as we ate!

Jaipur Restaurant (George's Street)
41 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Ate here for the first time and really enjoyed it. Not too familiar with Indian food but the waiters were more than helpful in aiding my choice! tried the tandori platter for starter very tasty! then had the rogan josh for main which was also very good and others more knowledgeable agreed! everyone seemed very happy with the quality of food although it may be slightly expensive its worth the trip- great wine list as well!

Pizza Stop
6/10 Chatham House, Chatham Lane, Off Grafton Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Very disappointed with this place. USed to go regular a few years ago and went to try again. Bad choice. Chicken wings looked like big portion but hardly any meat and not good quality. Crostini was ok if a little bland. straight after mains were banged down with no waiting time always a bad thing to me! Had ordered the chicken milanese which was definately deep fried looking and hard round the edges also friend ordered arriabiata which didnt think was possible to go wrong but it was very bland needed alot of chili oil. All in all was not good maybe chef was having a bad night but staff avoided our table and never asked if everything ok. We mentioned our dissatisfaction but nothing happened. Wont be going back

Marios (Ranelagh)

Popped in for a quick bite and the place was quite busy for a sunday evening! Crostini was a bit bland too much cheese not enough garlic but the pizzas for main were lovely- nice thin bases and two sizes is a nice change and good choice staff were attentive. Overall an enjoyable reasonable meal-we would return

Fine for a quick bite the ordering and paying system is handy got the chicken wings hot- yum although the single burger is very small would need to get the double to be full even for those with a small appitite! Hummus was very nice peri peri sauce a nice touch

DIG IN
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Ate here for the second time yesterday and was very disappointed. While staff on both occasions were abrupt we let it go given how busy they were but could not forgive the portion sizes. Had the fish and chips and the piece fish i got was tiny having ordered it before i was very disappointed. the restaurant prices are resonable in theory but not worth for what i got. Unfortunately no one checked to see if everything was alright during the meal and waited an age for the bill. Wont be returning

The Fern House Cafe at Avoca Kilmacanogue
Avoca, Kilmacanogue, Wicklow

Lovely Three of us ate here for lunch and really enjoyed it. We shared a starter of the fish cakes and the pate both were delicious although there was alot going on in the pate- bit much but still delicious! for main we had the burger and 2 mezz plates delious but far too much for three the mezz could really be shared between two even for a main. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. bit expensive overall but will return

Turk's Head
Parliament Street & Essex Gate, Temple Bar, Dublin

Nothing good Ate here over the weekend and the service and food was awful. the waitress was snappy and the food came thrown on the table. I had the club sandwich which came with burnt toast-shocking the chips looked anaemic and were cold at no point were we asked if everything was ok would have complained but just wanted to get out of there. Never again

profile_review

Yo Thai (Mount Merrion)
Kielys Of Mount Merrion, Deerpark Road, South Co. Dublin, Mount Merrion, Dublin

ate here with a group of friends but not teppinyaki. The staff were very helpful and looked after us very well and the atmosphere was great. However the food was below the stanard expected having eaten here a few times before. I had the spring rolls to start which were very dry and had very little filling. the Green curry was good but overall we all felt that the food could have been better-some felt that the portions were small or sauces tasted very siilar despite having very differnet descriptions! Also the wine choice was very limited but this was probably due to it being the christmas period

profile_review

Chameleon Restaurant
1 Lower Fownes Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

ate here with a group in the private room which was great very cosy and nice to be away from everyone else. ordered drinks straight away. however the food when it arrived was not great the meat dishes were quite bland and the vegitarian was a little greasy more like a selection of tapas than a proper meal. Overall wouldnt rush back for the food but the setting was great for a group

Milano (Baggot Street)
1 - 2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

I was wary of eating here based on the other reviews but although it was v.quiet the food was great very generous portions (I couldnt finish my salad a first for me!), the pizzas were great and staff were helpful-I would recommend especially for a crowd that does not want to be rushed

i really like this milano think its the best of the bunch-always buzzy and the food seems to be better than the other franchises- amazing chicken salads and i love that the dressing is automatically on the side!

Baan Thai (Leopardstown)
Central Park, Block P, Dublin 18, Leopardstown, Dublin

Visited on Saturday and was quite disappointed. the service was quite abrupt and the food came out rather fast no break in between courses- quite surprising really. The food was good though the pandan leaves for starter were delicately flavoured and the chili beef was also good however quite disappointed by the curry which was quite bland.

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a great night here although after booking our table we had to wait 20mins to be seated-probably to be expected on a Friday. After that though everything was great had the chicken wings to start delicious and the green curry which was perfect-just the right amount of spice! my partner had the duck rolls which hit the spot and the stirfried beef which was very tasty although slightly too many vegetables. The recommended wine was also a perfect accompaniment and the waiting staff was attentive without being intrusive, we will definitely be back!

profile_review

Thai Spice
3A Talbot Place, Dublin 1 , City Centre North, Dublin

Ate here a while ago on the recommendation of some friends and really enjoyed. While the location is not great and interior is pretty basic its a great place and the food is brilliant. I had the Tom yum Gai to start and the green curry both were yummy! My friend had the won tons and the duck and really enjoyed both. The portions sizes are also quite large so go hungry! Will definitely revisit.

Millers Pizza Kitchens
50 Upper Baggot Street, Dublin 4, City Centre South, Dublin

Delicious! Have only just heard about this place and it's the nicest most interesting pizzas and a huge menu! Need to book though. Visited with my boyfriend. We shared the garlic bread with cheese as a starter and fought over the last piece-yum! But glad we had shared as the pizzas are quite filling. I had the capricosa with the herb base - divine - while he made up his own although severe food envy when he saw the wild boar pizza arrive at the table next to us! Well worth a visit but bring your appetite!

Gong Chinese Restaurant
8 Lower Kilmacud Road, South Dublin, Stillorgan, Dublin

Have eaten here a few times with family and found it great. The atmosphere is nice and no rushing through. The staff were friendly and could offer suggestions for those not so familiar with Korean food! Hot and sour soup is delicious and while I did try some of the Korean food (tasty and interesting!) I have mostly stuck to the Chinese menu which is wonderful. There is an unusual spicy sweet and sour chicken dish which is yum and the king prawns are amazing! Will definitely be back again

Its Back on form! Ate here last Sunday since the reopening its back to the great food that was in Kilmacud! Lots of the old favouites and the early bird is great value although wish the hot and sour soup was an option! Four of us went and enjoyed will definately return, starters were good particularly the bonbon chicken tried a selection for main, the chicken kung po, black beef, prawns and the pork in garlic all great! rice lovely also. Service was also v.good unobtrusive but very good.Wine still a bit expensive but i will definately return!

I finally visited this restaurant after hearing great things from friends and found it to be a little gem. Felt a little nervous at first when the waiting staff didn’t write down the order but the food was wonderful and spot on! I found the setting informal casual dining and the prices reasonable given its location near Temple Bar value for money and quality food was not expected so it was a wonderful surprise to eat get substantial portions and fresh authentic tasting food. Great place for couples and families with wonderful staff and the kids will be entertained watching the chef make pizzas...I know I was! They also have a great lunch menu on weekend but bring your appetites!

I ate here for the first time in a few years with a menupages deal and it was great! We had full choice from the a la carte and the waiting staff were great! Only disappointment was the Tom Yum was a bit salty but that might just be me as it was prawn. Overall really enjoyed it and as always the curry was delish! Other half had the Duck for main and really enjoy. We will go back especially with the deal.
