Reviewed 10th August 2009 ( visited 06th August 2009 )I went here last Thursday with my partner and our three children. We choose the early bird as the choice looked quite good. The food was absolutely fabulous and the portions very substantial. We will definitely be return - great food and great service.
Siam Thai (Andrews Street) restaurant
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 2
Reviewed 10th March 2009 ( visited 07th March 2009 )I ate here for the first time last Saturday. We had the early bird which was very good value at €25 for two courses. It was a little quiet as there weren't many customers at that time. But the food was beautiful. I would high recommend this restaurant and next time I will definitely have a desert as they looked gorgeous.
Siam Thai (Rathfarnham)
Eden House, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin
I ate here last week. We had the early bird for €20 which included a starter and main course. The menu offered a good choice and the food was delicious. Afterwards we went down to the Eden House for a late drink. The restaurant is great value and offers a great night out.

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin
I have eaten here so many times and every time the food is lovely. At the moment there are some good deals on which makes it good value for money. They have changed their menu slightly but the favourites are still there with a few nice additions. The mixed starter for two is great - you get lots of choice and just a nice start to the meal. Will definitely be back again and again.
The Queens Bar & Steakroom
12 Castle Street, Dalkey, Dalkey, Dublin
I have eaten here a few times and have always found the food to be nice. I had the lambs liver and it was delicious. The staff are pleasant but not too attentive. Its a nice place for a Sunday lunch with friends or family. Homely food at a reasonable price.
Merry Ploughboy Pub
Edmondstown Road, Rockbrook, Rathfarnham, Dublin
I have eaten here so many times and the food and atmosphere is alwasy so lovely. But yesterday went with my partner for a late lunch - early dinner - about 4.30pm. We both ordered the steak sandwich. The chips that came were greasy and reheats from an early sitting and the steak sanwich was just ok. I think we came between services and therefore didn't get the freshest of food. It is a pity as I have eaten here so many times and never had a bad word to say. I hope this is a once off as I love this pub for food and entertainment

Eden Bar & Lounge
Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin
I ate here at the weekend with my partner. The food was really good. The menu is a pub menu but with so much choice. The only down side is the staff - they are rude, have an attitude and there doesn't seem to be any management overseeing the place. Hence the staff seem to do what they want. I would recommend the Eden for food but you will have to endure the grumpy staff!!!
The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
I just love this restaurant. Its quaint, romantic, food is absolutely beautiful - and its not expensive. It is small but always has a great atmosphere. I have eaten here a few times and each time we try something different from the menu and the food is always so tasty. I have just heard that they have opened another restaurant in Temple Bar so I will be going there to try it out.
15/17 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin 4, Ballsbridge, Dublin
This was my first visit to Kites - I had heard so much about it for many years, so I was probably expecting too much. The starters came and I had the fillet beef rolls. They were nice but nothing amazing. For main course I had scallops with ginger and spring onion, again they were nice but nothing great. I went with a party of five people and everyone ordered different things and were all quite happy with what they got. The reason I wasn't too impressed was I felt it was overpriced. Having also to buy the rice separately is to me a rip off. The main courses are pricey enough and should come with rice. I feel that restaurants feel sometimes that they can charge what they want once they have a good name. Well in my opinion it was nice but average and overpriced for what we got. I wouldn't be going back as there are so many more restaurants in Dublin to try and overpriced restaurants like this should remember that.
94 Terenure Road East, Dublin 6, Dublin 6w, Terenure, Dublin
I found Sawadee to be a lovely restaurant. Atmosphere was good. Food was great and staff were very attentive. The only thing is that you need to order rice separately to your main course which brings the cost up and also you feel slightly ripped off - as a bowl of rice shouldn’t cost €4.50. Other than that we really had a great night.
