We ate here recently having ordered from their delivery service regularly. The food is always beautiful, and at this stage my partner and I have tried almost everything on the menu. Great value, friendly service and a lovely quiet restaurant - a bit of a hidden gem, considering they have won awards!

Always a great atmosphere in this bar, and I love that I can have a nice quick bite to eat with rugby or football in the background! The food is pretty decent - good quality and choice. Wine list is very expensive for what is offered, but that's about the only fault I can find with the place.

BD Spice
Eden House (Above Eden House Pub), Grange Road, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Great quality and choice of food, lovely staff and fantastic view out the window! My neighbours and I last went to BD Spice during the snow and the experience was well worth daring the elements. We each chose different dishes and shared around. Unanimous agreement that just about everything on the menu is worth a go after a number of visits to BD Spice.

Milano (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

My friend and I went for a late lunch to escape the madness of the Christmas shopping and catch up. The restaurant was not too busy but we didn't feel we got great service. Our waiter came twice to take away our plates before I was finished my meal. Food was very nice, but it would be great if they changed their menu a little more often.

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

went for an early bird in here with my best mate. the place was quieter than I had ever seen it, but it was a Monday evening. EUR16.95 for starter, main course, dessert and beverage/glass of house wine. Great value! Good range of choice for an early bird menu aswell. however a couple of the dessert choices were not available that night as they had apparently run out. The waitress was very nice and attentive, and we had a very nice chilled out meal while we caught up. With value like that, we'll certainly be going again.

Eden Bar & Lounge
Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin

I love this pub - there is always a buzz in it. We went on Saturday afternoon for lunch and got two nice meals for e25 - great portions and fresh food. Always plenty of options in the Eden for a 'pub grub' menu and they are more than happy to accommodate dietary requirements. Staff are always top notch and I have never seen the place empty as a result.

Saba
26-28 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My best friend and I enjoyed a nice meal here recently. We both had starters - veggie spring rolls and satay chicken. very large portions for starters, I must say, but they were lovely. We had said to hold off for a few minutes in between courses as I don't like to rush into the main course, but it arrived out almost immediately. We both tried different mains and they were very tasty. My friend had wine and we were told about the wine sale to clear for new stock lines which was a nice way of bringing the bill down. In no way were we rushed out as we sat and chatted in a relaxed atmosphere. Decent value at EUR60 for two starters, mains, teas and a glass of beautiful red.

Siam Thai (Rathfarnham)
Eden House, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin

The four of us who went for dinner to this Siam Thai agreed that it was one of the best asian meals we had ever had. We each had different starters and mains, with similar compliments about the chicken, fish and veggie dishes. Only downside was that the house wine was a little expensive for what we got, but unfortunately that still seems to be the way in most restaurants. Beautiful views all the way out to the Irish Sea from the restaurant and lovely staff to make a very enjoyable meal.

Sohag Tandoori
2 Mahers TerraceDundrum, Dundrum, Dublin

A nice night out certainly doesn't cost much in this place! Friendly staff, great classic Indian food, really reasonable prices - I've never had a bad meal in the Sohag Tandoori. My boyfriend and I both try new things each time we go there - and we're rarely disappointed.

La Cave
28 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went with a bunch of friends last night and was really happy with this little gem in the middle of overpriced Dublin2! We all had three courses and half of us had wine, brining the bill to less than E30 each. Great value and everyone really enjoyed their meals (particularly those who had the steak). No rushing us to vacate our seat - friendly staff and lovely food at a great price!

The Greenroom Restaurant at Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort
Ballymoney, Ballymoney Wexford, Wexford

My boyfriend and I have been to Seafield before, but were particularly disappointed with the food and effort put into the Valentine's Day offering. The food was very bland, and my main course appeared to have been reheated. The staff were helpful enough, but quite slow. We booked an early sitting to avoid being rushed in and out (it was far from full when we were there), so there is little excuse for what was one of the worst meals I've had in some time. Very disappointing, considering the high standards of previous visits.

Excelsior Oriental Restaurant (Rathfarnham)
106 Nutgrove Avenue, South Dublin, Rathfarnham, Dublin

Love this place - a hidden treasure in Dublin. Don't be fooled by the prices - this place is some of the best asian food you can get by a country mile! We use their take away regularly - it's the fastest (and friendliest!) take away service, perfect food every time.

First Floor Bar & Brasserie @ Harvey Nichols
Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin

Popped in for lunch to get away from the mad Christmas crowds. At a table for four, six of us were squashed together - not impressed with that. My nephew spilled his drink and we were not helped to clean up. Food was late and the portions were tiny (although the food on my plate was lovely). I had to ask four times for my drink, which even at Christmas is a bit ridiculous. Maybe the weekend before Christmas wasn't the best time to visit, but I won't be going there in a hurry again.

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Great food, fast & friendly service and good value in a central location - as ever! Great for healthy options when eating out (which isn't always easy) and plenty for vegetarians also.

This is a little gem in Newbridge - HUGE portions of lovely food, great service and very reasonable prices. Great night for a couple or a group.

On a Sunday afternoon when you want a quiet, inexpensive bit to eat, this hit the spot! Lovely food, very friendly staff and nobody forcing you out the door once the meal is finished. I will be back!

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

My best friend and I now meet almost every Thursday in this restaurant for our catch-up. We love the food choice and quality, friendly service, great cocktails (non-alcoholic) & wine, and it's very good value too. Perfect location to have a group, couple or family meal.

Siam Thai (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Beautiful food and faultless service on my visit with a friend to this restaurant. It's surprisingly big and yet tranquil. Good portions and plenty of choice - I will definitely be going back there next time I fancy a Thai!

Chameleon Restaurant
1 Lower Fownes Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

The Chameleon is one of those restaurants I go to time and time again without being disappointed. As ever, the staff were very helpful and friendly, guiding my friend through the menu as she had never had rijsttafel before. The food was excellent - perfectly prepared, high-quality ingredients and interesting combinations. The staff obliged us with a beautiful large table in the corner with cushions (despite there only being two of us) and we enjoyed our meal with our shoes off in a relaxed atmosphere. Couldn't ask for much more - great value for money for two people, but the perfect venue for a group (once they all wash their feet before going out!)
