Even thinkin of these chicken wings makes my mouth water!! WOW is all dat can describe them. The portions are good too. I also had the elephant burger which was very tasty, the cheese on it is so moreish. I had eaten so many chicken wings that I regretfully could'nt finish my burger! Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Had a Sunday evening hangover cure here last weekend. Opted for the chicken burger with peri peri fries and decided this time to brave the 'hot' nandos sauce. Food was really really tasty there was a good variety of condiments to use which is always great in my book. It's a little on the expensive side for a chicken burger, chips and a drink but good for novelty and you feel a little better about yourself than eating in the more traditional fast food restaurants.

The Gin Palace
Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Had lunch here on Saturday as we were searching for somewhere to rest our weary shopping legs and looking for some quick pub grub. Myself and my friend both ordered the soup+sandwich combo for €8. The soup came in a small cup and was very tasty and I opted for a toasted cheese bap with it. I thought it was a little pricey for what it was although it did hit the spot. I don't know if I would be quick to return.

Crackbird
60 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate her last week with my other half. Was not too pushed about going here as I had heard great reviews and didn't want to jump on the bandwagon but I have to say I had to eat my hat as the food, atmosphere and value were excellent. It's very casual and you have to share a table if you are in a small party. We started with the homemade crisps which were lovely but could of done with a dip. We ordered a soy and lime half chicken, potatoe croquettes and coleslaw as a main and the chicken was finger licking good! My mouth is watering even thinking about it. My partner had the homemade lemonade which was so refreshing. I cannot wait to return here.

Camden Kitchen
3A Camden Market, Grantham Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

The food here is really nice. This was my 3rd time going in the last few months and each time the menu is different which I love. I had the steak and it was to die for.

Rotana Cafe Restaurant
31 South Richmond Street, Dublin 2, Portobello, Dublin

Had a lovely dinner here last night. The atmosphere was really relaxed and the staff were very friendly. We shared a starter of chicken pieces coated in a lovely crispy flavoured crumbs which was yummy. The main courses were just as good. Their falafal is the best in dublin! I was very please to note they delivered and have a good arrange of freshly baked lebanese pastries as I was too full for dessert. Lovely for mid week casual dining!

101 Talbot
Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I brought my mam here recently as she was on a visit to Dublin and staying near by. This was my second visit in less than a month and it did not let me down. On both occasions it has been busy and there was a nice buzz in the air. The waiting staff are friendly and attentive and make the service seem effortless. The menu on both occasions was completly different which I loved as they use seasonal ingredients. I had the brocolli, garlic and cheddar soup and chicken for main. There was a lot of selection and I could have had at least 4 things. My mother had the gooseberry tart for dessert and it was gorgeous. I would recommend this to anyone as there is something for everyone. They have a great value early bird menu.

Restaurant Ten Fourteen

Had lunch here recently with my work colleaguse. It was really nice. Would recomment booking if your going later in the week. I had the steak sandwich and it was gorgeous. It came with lovely home cut chips and a hollendaise sauce. Would love to go back for dinner some day and sample some more of the menu.

The Counter Dundrum
Pembroke District, (adjacent to the Mill Pond at Town Square), Dundrum, Dublin

The build your own burger is YUM!!!! There is so much choice between lettuce, cheese, toppings, sauces. Me and my friend had a onion rings and chips half and half to share and it was enough to feed 4 people so beware. I can't wait to go back and try more combinations of burgers.

Fleva Restaurant
84 High Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Came here on a Sunday night so it was very quiet. Was seated at a window seat which had a lovely view of the high street and was great for people watching. I shared a starter of pork wontons which were delicous. For mains I had the pork again this was lovely and we shared a dessert of chocolate brownie with mint ice cream. All courses were brillantly executed. The menu had at least three other things that I really wanted to order so I will be returning soon to sample some more!

Sandbar
193 Clontarf Road, North Dublin, Clontarf, Dublin

Had lunch here last friday. We had to wait about ten minutes seated before anyone even acknowledged we were there. This was very off putting and I felt like getting up and walking out and would have done so had my friend not called the waiter down. I ordered a pizza which was lovely but I'm not sure I would return.

Bay Restaurant
369 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Had lunch here today. Ordered the open club sandwich. No complaints! My friends had the fish and chips and the chicken florintine which both looked delicous.

Casa Pasta (Clontarf)
55 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

Had lunch here yesterday. It was €15 for a starter and a main course and it had a good selection. I had the bruscetta and meatball with pasta. Both were really nice! You would want to like garlic as both courses were heavily flavoured with it. Thankfully I love it. My friend ordered chicken wing to start with and the smell was glorious, I ended up picking at his too. Cheap and Cheerful lunch!

profile_review

Bonga Korean BBQ
52 Capel Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Was here twice in the last two weeks. Both times I was in a big group. I think it is perfect for parties as their is something for everyone in the all you can eat buffet. Beers were only 3e for a bottle. The kareoke rooms are so much fun. The only bad thing I would say is the food was slighly cold but we were having so much fun it didn't matter!

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Temple Bar)
Unit 1, Temple Bar Square, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin

Came here a few weeks ago with a few people from work for a burger and beer. The menu had a wide range of burgers to choose from and it was difficult for us all to make our choices. I had one of the veggie lentil burgers which was delicous. We shared some chips n dips between us. I had the cajun dip and have been dreaming about it since! It was a cheap and cheerful place for us to relax after work.

Woodstock Cafe

I come here regularly for lunch. The carvery style mains are really fresh and always very tasty. Its the best carvery I have had in a long time. Today I sampled their caramel slices. Yum!

Kinara Restaurant
318 Clontarf Road, North Co. Dublin , Clontarf, Dublin

Came here for lunch last Friday. I had the special lunch which was a main course served pakistani style with nann bread, rice and a side dish for €11.95. It was really nice and you could see all the fresh herbs and spices. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, quiet enough with a lovely seaview. The waitress was really attentive and friendly. I look forward to going back soon to sample the chicken wrap that my friend got!

The Italian Connection

Had pizza here last week for lunch. Was delicous. My friend had the lasagne which was a huge portion and had lots of sauce. Nice for a casual lunch.

profile_review

Saagar Indian Restaurant
16 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Was here on Valentines night. Was so disappointed, having been here before and had a lovely meal. The lights were too bright and you felt exposed. There was no music that I could hear and you could hear other tables conversations. The food was disgusting. I never really say this about food as i'm a huge food fan but our tikka masala tasted like value tomato soup! The service was good but it couldn't make up for the lack of ambience and the food.

profile_review

The Porterhouse (North )
Cross Guns Bridge, Glasnevin, Dublin

Food was okay for a quick pub lunch. Chunky chips were a bit tasteless! Steak baguette with pepper sauce was tasty.

profile_review

Picasso Restaurant
1 Vernon Avenue, Clontarf, Dublin

Came here for lunch last week. It was very nice although it did not have a great selection for a typical 'lunch' and was a bit expensive. I'd love to come back for dinner some night and see what the atmosphere is like. Nice that you can see the sea from the window.

DIG IN
19 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Met the girls last week for a burger and beer. This was the perfect choice as it was cheap and we were all dying to try it out. All main courses were a tenner. Excellent value and a good selection. We all ordered the burger, which was served with lovely home cut chips and nice cheese and a salad on the side. Most of the beers were only €4. The bill was very reasonable and definatley worth it!

Chameleon Restaurant
1 Lower Fownes Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

We went here on an xmas night out on Friday night. We had the seat upstairs where you could sit on cushions. This was a great novelty. The staff were very efficent and friendly and we had drinks within minutes of sitting down. The food was very nice, lots of selection especially for the vegetarians. Would definatley be back!!

Was here on Wednesday for a xmas night out. The service was excellent and they were very promt. We had the shared starters as part of the xmas menu and they were lovely.Main course was nice but I wasn't that hungry. Tasted the shared dessets of brownies, fruit salad and icecream which was delicous. I will definatley be returning to sample the full menu soon.

Thunder Road Cafe

Went here on a team meal from work. The food was surprisingly nice, as I had been here before and that was not the case. I had a burger which was yum. Cocktails were good too. Great if you want somewhere fun!

profile_review

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Had an okay meal here recently. Was a bit disappointed as the atmosphere was a bit dead and I felt the food lacked execution. The food was over garnished and while it tasted ok... that was all it was.. ok. I won't be back.

profile_review

Chai Yo
100 Lower Baggot street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Really enjoyed my meal here on Saturday night for my friends birthday. I had the red curry and it was delicous. The prawn crackers were really nice too. The singing waiters were such fun. It was a pity that the tables they cook at were all booked out when we booked the table.

profile_review

McDonagh's Seafood House

The fish is so fresh we looked forward to this all weekend and it didn't dissapoint! Cod and chips with coleslaw on the side and plenty of vinegar... YUM!

profile_review

The Front Door
High Street and Cross Street, The Latin Quarter, Galway City, Galway

Had a soup and sambo combo here on Saturday. The soup was very salty. It was supposed to be vegetable. I could not finish it but the sandwich was nice. All in all the menu had good selection. I half wished I had gone for something else.

profile_review

Ard Bia - Closed
Spanish Arch, Galway, Galway City, Galway

This is a really nice quirky place! I had the bruschetta to start and the steak as a mains which were both executed very well. Really great relaxed atmosphere. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of the food and wine.Would recommend this to anyone.

profile_review

Martines Restaurant & Wine Bar
21 Quay Street, Galway, Galway City, Galway

Me and my boyfriend dined here at the weekend and it was so good we went back again on the Sunday! The crab claws to start were smothered in garlic butter and were finger licking good. I had the scallops with black pudding for mains and have to say the accompaniments worked extremely well to bring all the flavours together. On my second visit I opted for the chocolate torte which was to die for and definitely recommended for chocolate lovers. Really enjoyed this restaurant.

Italian Connection (Kilkenny)
38 Parliament Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

I used to love italian connection but lately think that it is a bit pricey for what you actually get. Don't get me wrong the food is nice but I think its a bit pricey for what it is.

profile_review

Cafe Sol
William Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

I have never been here for dinner but the lunch is really nice! The chicken wrap is lovely and there is a nice buzz around the place. You may have to wait a few minutes for a table but its worth it.

profile_review

Cafe Del Vino
The Butterslip, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Was in here last weekend for a bottle of wine and a bowl of olives. The selection of wines are very good and the staff can help you make the right choice as they have excellent knowledge of the wine. I can't really comment on the food as I only had the olives which were delicous. The atmosphere is very homely and comfortable although I was a bit cold as the door to the lane was open.

profile_review

Langton House Hotel Kilkenny
69 John Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

My family would go here a lot as it is a crowd pleaser! This is hard to do in my family. The menu is vast and the staff are always really helpful and professional even though they are always really busy.

profile_review

La Perla @ Lyrath Estate Hotel
Paulstown Road, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

I was here a couple of months ago for my sister's confirmation. There was around 50 of us and we had most of the restaurant to ourselves. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. I had the smoked chicken ceaser salad for starter. I couldn't fault it. I choose the seabass for mains which was delicous. Even the kids menu was not your usually chicken nuggets and chips. They had lots of choice but the portions were really too big for kids. I can't wait to go back and sample the full menu!

profile_review

Key Largo
1/2 Canal Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

As the pervious reviewers have said, this is probally the best value early bird around! The burritos are really nice and the pizzas. Its a great place to go after you have finished shopping. Outside the early bird menu the mussles are unbelivabl.

profile_review

Ripleys Steak House
Butterslip Lane (off Kieran St), Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

I visited here last week with my family. We had the platter to share for starter which included chicken wings, brie, onion rings and prawns and had two gorgeous dips of garlic mayo and a chilli. For main course most of us had the steak which was cooked to perfection. They had ran out of the wine we ordered the first time but the waitress recommended one that was even nicer than the one we had. The desserts were definatly written for the dessert lover and featured lots of chocolatey and toffee delights but at that stage I had no room left! Really lovely meal.

The Yacht (Clontarf)
73 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin

Have had carvery lunch here twice over the past few weeks. Like all carverys they go in for the quantity not quality moto. I have to say this did serve well the last time as I was dying of a hangover and wanted comfort food. Plenty of mash, stuffing, and everything else did the trick. They have a huge selection of meats to choose from.

profile_review

Jimmy Chungs
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin

Ive been here 3 times since it has opened as I just work around the corner. It's handy for lunch as its very cheap and you don't have to wait around for your food to be delivered to the table. The lunch during the week is only€10.90. Not bad for an all you can eat. They have very good choice and the staff are very friendly. The only problem I have is that I always end up eating too much!

profile_review

Seagrass of Portobello Bridge
30 South Richmond Street, Dublin 8, Portobello, Dublin

Was here last week in the evening. Had the crab duo to start which was delicious! And as I'm trying to watch my weight I choose a salad which had plenty of cheese which defeated the purpose of ordering it but was still yum. I gave in then and had a dessert - Bread and butter pudding which I shared and was really tasty, I was tempted to lick the plate.

profile_review

Captain America's Cookhouse And Bar
44 Grafton Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Was here on Monday night and was surprised at how packed it was. We had to have drinks at the bar while we waited for our table. The atmosphere was great. There was a lot of young people around and there was a good buzz(not great if you were having a romantic night out). I had the hawaian burger which was ok. It lacked a bit of flavour and the chips were just piled on the plate with a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato as a garnish. I find with here the meals always sound nice on the menu but lack on the execution! Would be okay for a large party just their for the cocktails.

profile_review

The Barge
Charlemont Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Had a lovely carvery here on Sunday. They always have a good selection of choices and if you don't fancy a full carvery they also do soup, salads and nice toasties. I had the turkey and it was everything you would expect from a nice carvery. Great for a hangover. Cheap and cheerful! They always show all the matches and its great for the hair of the dog on a Sunday!

Little Caesars Pizza (City Centre)
5 Balfe Street, Near Westbury Hotel, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Me and my friend went here for lunch on a break from our shopping spree. We shared the garlic bread which was nice and then I had the pasta arabiatta and my friend had the chili con carne pizza which was surprisingly good. We both had a coke each and shared a carafe of pinot grigio. It was very pleasant. Cheap and Cheerful and the staff were very friendly too. There were quite a number of children around as the place is very child friendly!

profile_review

Il Primo
16 Montague Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

This is a lovely little restaurant. The staff are very friendly and the food is gorgeous. I found it very difficult to choose as everything on the menu sounded yum. I opted for a sirloin beef salad for starter and crab lasagne for mains. Both were wonderful especially the lasagne. My boyfriend had the steak which was huge and perfectly cooked to medium rare. I'd highly recommend a visit!

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Was here Sat night with my sister. It was my first time here and I had heard it was overpriced and overrated and I have to say I agree. The fajitas lacked adventure and were kinda thrown together. We waited 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared after eating. I was disappointed.

Bella Cuba Restaurant
11 Ballsbridge Terrace, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Cashed in my points and visited here last night with a friend of mine. I was surprised at how empty it was. I had the steak and my friend had the chicken stuffed with chorizo and both were delicious. The waitress was very helpful and friendly and overall we had a lovely meal experience.

Zaytoon (Lower Camden Street)
44-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

I had the mixed sauce which is the garlic and chili sauce in the same bowl with a plate of chips and it was only €3 and it was sooo yummy!! Great for a quick cheap lunch. While the kebabs are really nice I find them too filling.

profile_review

Surma
43 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

I had a rogan josh to take away last night. I was very disappointed as the lamb was very fatty and chewy. This is the second time I have had a takeaway and not been fully satisfied. While the service is good and the staff friendly I wont be ordering from here again

The Kingfisher Restaurant, Guesthouse & Apartments
166 Parnell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

I'm a big fan of this place on my lunch for work especially when I'm feeling a little worse for wear from the previous night. Last week I had the salad burger and chips. The chips are proper handcut chips and cooked to perfection. The burger was nice and sloppy with everything falling all over the place just the way I like it. It always has a nice busy but homely atmosphere of a city centre cafe. The staff are very friendly and the food fab!

profile_review

Cafe Bliss
4B Montague Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Came here for a lazy lunch on Saturday with my boyfriend. Wasn't really that hungry but needed something to fill the void. We both ordered soup and a chicken wrap to share. They divided the chicken wrap onto two plates so it looked like we had a portion each. It was a huge wrap and the chicken was really tasty. The soup was nice, homemade but the consistency was a little thick. All and all very cheap and cheerful and great for a quick lunch!

profile_review

Jewel in the Crown (South William Street)
5 South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I had the vegetarian set menu and my boyfriend had the meat set menu and we shared, getting the best of both worlds. It was really nice. The only thing was they were playing loud what seemed like house music and we repeatedly had to ask to turn it down.

Cafe Irie
11 Fownes street, le Bar, City Centre South, Dublin

Lingering lunch…! Cafe Irie is the perfect haven to get away from the hustle and bustle of shopping. The soup is really tasty especially the tomato and basil. Their wraps and sandwiches are yum and to finish?! The hot chocolate mmm...... and it won’t break the bank!

profile_review

Il Baccaro
Meeting House Square, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

This is one of my favourites! I usually come here once a year and it always captures my heart. The cosy atmosphere, the friendly staff and the fantastic food make it a an excellent place for a quiet intimate dinner date.

profile_review

La Pizza
14/15 Upper O'Connell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Em... this place has a lot of potential. We ordered the pizza and panini and everything was just a little off. The pizza was overwhelmed with pizza and the panini was stodgy. The place has a very canteen-y feel to it and if you’re in a rush you are better off heading over for fast food across the road!

I love this place for a quick lunch. I always have the special and it’s always pretty inventive and you get a good mix of things.

Salamanca
1 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I was here last Sunday having a lazy day. We had the mussels, prawns, bravas and the tomato bread and I honestly cannot decide which was the nicest! The portions of mussels were enough to feed a small family. I washed it down with a glass of wine and couldn’t bring myself to leave anything on the plate. I was nearly rolled out the door. The staff were very professional and efficient. It was late Sunday afternoon and the only thing I could fault was the lack of atmosphere.

Flanagan’s Restaurant
61 Upper O'Connell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

The pizzeria upstairs is really good value. U get a starter and a main course (pizza/pasta) for around €12 with tea or coffee. The pizzas are ginourmous. Its not the most trendy of decor inside but there is usually no crowd and you have de jukebox 2 yourself. We didn't eat our full pizza, as we were full after de garlic bread starters so they put it in a box for takeaway. Yum

profile_review

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I went here with a big crowd from work and we took up most of the downstairs. I ordered the buffalo wings which were delish nearly as good as elephant and castle but not quiet!! For mains I ordered the fajitas, which came out sizzling and with lots of sides (cheese, sour cream, salsa lettuce), which are the parts I love. I was soo full from the wings that I could only eat 1 fajita. There were about 40 of us and everyone was raving about the food and the wine was lovely too.

profile_review

Tandoori Bite
21 South Richmond St, South Dublin, Portobello, Dublin

The food here is really good and the staff are very helpful and friendly. It’s never really that busy so it would be a great place to go if you had a crowd. The dips for the pompadoms are yum. They do a really good early bird menu as well.

Bobo's Gourmet Burgers (Wexford St)
22 Wexford Street (Beside Whelans), Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

My friend and I ate here last week and we really enjoyed it. It took us a good 15 minutes to decide from the menu of gorgeous burgers. We had a burger each and a chips between us. The chips were freshly cut and the burgers were ginourmous!!! The ingredients were really fresh and all the burgers have Irish names. I had to cut mine in half and still had trouble fitting it in my mouth it was so big. Great hangover food although a little on the pricey side for a burger joint it is one of the best.

Tante Zoes
1 Crow Street, Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

Had lunch here on Saturday with a friend. I had the popcorn shrimp which was served with this delicous spicy/mayo sauce and chunky chips and my friend had the blackened chicken. Both were lovely! We ordered the whisky bread and butter pudding to share for dessert. I am not a fan of bread and butter pudding normally but this was an exception. It was an early lunch on Saturday and the place was nice and quiet which was contrast to the busy Chrismas rush in all the shops!

El Bahia Moroccan Restaurant
37 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Five of us went here recently for my friend’s birthday and had an excellent meal experience. We were seated in a little room on our own and it looked like we were inside a tent as all the walls were decorated in lovely Moroccan fabric. The food was excellent and served in authentic Moroccan dishes. Having never had Moroccan food before I was really pleased with my meal. The group of friends I was with would not be very adventurous but everyone left raving about their food. We are planning on returning the next birthday that comes around...

Havana Tapas Bar
Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

While I am a huge fan of the Havana off Camden St. I was hugely disappointed with the food on George St. The chorizo arrived dripping in grease and it was cold, dry and very chewy. It was accompanied by flavourless fried potato cubes. It really put me off going back.
