An excellent lunch, from the duck starter to the hake to the pear and almond tart, all perfect. And great service too.

Had the Menupages Deal lunch for two today. Really good food and excellent value. Prawn bisque starter, chicken main and orange chocolate desert were excellent.

Gochi
13 Dawson Street, Dawson Street, Dublin

A quiet Tuesday evening but bright friendly atmosphere, Two of us had the deal of two courses and wine. Excellent starters, dumplings and calamari, great fried noodles and rice and the best was the curried chicken. Friendly service and generous glasses of wine. Will be back.

We had the MenuPages deal here on a quiet pre-Valentines Wed. night. The food was excellent. The starter platter for two had good portions of tandoori chicken, lamb kebab and good sized king prawns. Our main courses of chicken sag and lamb had lots of tender meat and a good sauce, and generous glasses of wine. Service was excellent, attentive and friendly.

Damascus Gate
10 Upper Camden Street, Dublin 2, Camden Street, Dublin

Even on the half price deal, the three course meal was barely worth it. The starter meat balls were overcooked and tasteless, the main course mixed kebab had inedibly tough lamb, the amman stuffed chicken breast was dry and overcooked, the baclawa desert was four tiny pieces.

Nyonya Malaysian Restaurant
76 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

This is authentic Malaysian food, best I have tasted in Ireland, and best since I have lived in Malaysia. Good value in starters and main courses. The squid (sotong) was tender and spicy. Wine was good value at €18 a bottle for house white. Malaysians in Dublin were dropping in, but the restaurant was far from full. It deserves more customers, they will love the food.

Weeping Thaiger (Naas)
Wolfetone Street, New Town Centre, Naas, Kildare

Quiet Sunday night but bright atmosphere. Authentic thai food, great value - prawn starters for €5 and thai curries for €10. Fast polite service.
