The staff here are great. I feel that they really want you to enjoy yourself and don't mind extra requests. I went for lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon, there was a good few in. I had the sandwich and fries combo which was great value. I will definitely revisit as it's a nice relaxed spot for a bite of lunch.

Visited here recently on a Saturday afternoon, it was quiet. I was expecting there to be more of a buzz. A great selection of eggs on the menu, if you're into that. I went for poached eggs. They were ok. The service was fine. I can't complain about the visit but I can't say it was wonderful either! Slightly overpriced.

ely bar & brasserie
CHQ Building, Georges Dock, Dublin 1, City Centre, IFSC, Dublin

Went here recently on a Friday evening, 6pm. Enjoyed the food, had yellow pepper soup to start and a tagine for main. Cannot fault the food, however being a gastropub it's very loud. Waiter seemed run off his feet, but to his credit we were well looked after.

Douglas & Kaldi Terrace Cafe and Restaurant
Level 2, Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dublin

I went here for lunch one busy Saturday afternoon. I found the staff to be helpful and accommodating. I got a bagel and my dining partner went for the fish and chips. It came out very fast to the table after ordering! There's some lovely seats outside, perfect for a nice day.

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Always a good atmosphere here, I've been here a few times now, there's a nice crowd in. My recent visit was a couple of weeks ago. The service is a little lacking and slow, and trying to get the waiters attention is quite a task! But other than that I really enjoyed the ambience and went for the risotto which was nice.

Nandos (Dundrum)
Sandyford Road, Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

I love Nandos. The staff are always so friendly, and the food! Oh my goodness, the food! Their red pepper dip with warmed pitta bread is something I always look forward to before the main. And the main itself is always something I enjoy. There's a nice, relaxed atmosphere, which coupled with the music playing subtly in the background makes me feel like I'm on holiday!

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Was always a huge fan of Mao, but on a recent visit I realised they've removed my favourite dish from the menu, Udon Noodles. I went for another noodle dish which was good... but it wasn't as nice. It was a gorgeous day, so I sat outside. I think I was slightly forgotten about as it took a long time for someone to ask what I would like to order. And then, a lot of people who had ordered their food after me were receiving their dishes before me! But the sun was shining and I had a glass of wine to sip on so I wasn't too bothered. I will revisit.

Pyg Restaurant
Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, South William Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Great buzz and atmosphere when we went for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Service was slow though. Took a while for someone to take our order, and the wine came half way through the lunch. A decent spot though, would recommend.

Rolys Bistro
7 Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin, Ballsbridge, Dublin

I'm not sure if there has been a change in management here in the last 6 months or so, but that's what it seems like. The staff have really gone down hill, I found two in particular to be very rude. Then the service itself was appalling and no one looked happy! Vegetarian option is very poor, and we were served room temp white wine. Such a shame as it used to be a great place.
