Had dinner here last night and was very impressed. The food was excellent. I had prawns to start, which were delicious. My friend had the Toulouse sausage, which was also tasty. I had rabbit for main course and my friend chose veal. They were both piping hot and very good. I skippped dessert, but my friend had the pear and almond tart which was served with a scoop of ice-cream. The service was pleasant but efficient.Perhaps the only criticism I would have is that there wasn't enough of a lull between courses! Having said that, I didn't feel rushed at any stage, we lingered over a glass of wine for a while after we had finished eating. The bill was also reasonable. Overall, a very pleasant experience and good value for money. I look forward to returning soon

Cafe Noir - Castletroy
Park Point, Castletroy, Castletroy, Limerick

Had lunch here today with a friend. Food was fine, but the service was very poor. Very slow to be served and also as the previoius review said, the staff seemed to be all over the place. Nobody seemed to be in charge and all the staff appeared to be going from handling food to money regularly. No water or glasses out, dirty tables and floor badly needed to be swept. Overall, quite disappointing

Delish - Adare
Main Street, Adare, Limerick

We went here for a late lunch today and were very disappointed. I have eaten in Delish in Castletroy and Raheen before and have found them ok. Adare, however, was a different experience. We took a seat at a dirty table and waited to be served. After a few mins of a wait I got up to get some menus as nobody had approached us.They weren't particularly busy, two other tables were occupied. We decided what we wanted and waited. There were 2 girls working, one of whom proceeded to carry out a conversation at the top of her voice with the girl in the kitchen and also on the phone while she was wiping other tables in the front of the restaurant. After a very long wait she finally came to take our order and told us she had forgotten about us.We ordered a Thai chicken wrap and a prawn and avocado on brown soda bread with mixed leaves. The Thai chicken was more like curried chicken in a wrap.It wasn't very nice but was edible. The prawn and avocado wasn't.The prawns which were tasteless, recently defrosted and watery sat on a thick layer of mayonnaise on a piece of brown bread which was absolutely smothered in mayonnaise. The mixed leaves were dry, the four pieces of cucumber around the side of the plate were also dried out.The whole dish was then drowned again in even more mayonnaise. It was disgusting,I picked at the prawns but couldn't eat it. My friend ate quickly so that we could leave. I went to the bathroom as I waited. It was another unpleasant experience. There was no toilet roll, the bin was overflowing and there were bits of wet tissue strewn around the sink and floor, presumably because people couldn't put them in the bin. I checked the toilet checklist on the door, and noticed that it hadn't been initialled as having been checked since Wednesday, 2 days ago.I was so annoyed at this point that I left.My friend paid the bill. The lady asked him what we had, didn't ask how the food was, didn't seem to know what we had eaten. We both vowed that we will not be returning.
