Really disappointing. We went for the early bird menu that we used to get in the old El Paso. They have taken Nachos off the menu and now it's just "chips and dip", which was essentially a bowl of warm crisps, and the tiniest pots of a VERY watery salsa and the strangest green dip which was later identified as coriander. El Paso has definitely lost its spark

I found it to be a bit expensive for a lunch. Portions were a bit scabby! We only had lunch but the main meals that came out of the kitchen looked amazing, very well presented.

Wongs of Clontarf
436 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

The food here is always lovely, but the staff are always so miserable. There is no atmosphere or smiles. A la carte is quite expensive. The Early Bird is a rip off- they advertise it from being €16.50 which would lead you to believe that it will be in or around that price, but it takes a HUGE jump up to €24 if you want chicken, beef or pork, and goes up to €25 if you want seabass, fillet steak or duck. It is quite misleading.

Kinara Restaurant
318 Clontarf Road, North Co. Dublin , Clontarf, Dublin

I have only been here once and availed of the Early Bird, which was fantastic value. The food is incredible and the setting is very classy and elegant. The prices on the regular menu seem VERY pricy so I will continue to avail of the early bird until I become rich :)

Coffeys of Sutton
Superquinn Shopping Centre, Sutton Cross, Sutton, Dublin

I was disappointed with the service we recieved yesterday. The waitress was curt and abrupt and had to be reminded of a few things ordered that she forgot. I have been here loads of times but yesterday was the worst. Food was standard and not that exciting. I think they could also do with expanding their menu- it's been the same for years.

The Living Room at The Residents Hotel

The food was great. although the staff were friendly, they were slow and forgetful. We had to go to the bar ourselves twice due to forgotten drinks.

Bellewstown Inn

We stopped here whilst on a drive and were so surprised at the standard of food. It was so tasty, great value and the atmosphere was that of a quiet country pub. We'll definitely go back.

Balrothery Inn
Balrothery, Balbriggan, Balbriggan, Dublin

We eat here quite a bit, as the food is consistently good and it is good value. The place could do with a facelift though, it's very old and tatty looking. The staff are rarely attentive, bar one youngone who serves us sometimes. Usually they are slow to come over and tend to be too busy chatting amongst themselves to notice if you need anything. If the red velvet gateaux is on the menu when you are there, GET IT!!! You won't be disappointed!

Service was great, very friendly server but no overly annoying. The food was gorgeous, presented really well and big portions.

Cates Cafe
19 Castlemill Balbriggan, Balbriggan, Dublin

I eat here regularly. I love the place. It's great for breakie, lunch or dinner. They do great special offers, where they choose a meal from the main menu and sell it for €5.95. Brilliant offer! The staff are friendly and professional, the food is tasty and it's great value for money.

Nandos Swords
Swords Pavilions, Swords, Dublin

Very diasppointing food. Regular chicken and chips with the opportunity to use a bottled sauce. The corn on the cob was lovely. They have a wierd system where they take your order at the table, yet you get your own drinks and condiments. Didn't enjoy the experience at all.

Pasta Pizza
54 Strand Street, Skerries, Dublin

The food here was so disappointing. The spaghetti bolognaise was a tin of chopped tomatoes thrown over a tiny bit of mince, with soaking wet spaghetti. The garlic bread was worse than anything you could make at home. The pizza was enjoyed by my teenage nephew but it's hard to get pizza wrong! We were the only ones in the restaurant, yet The staff were inattentive and ambivilant. I will not be returning.

Karma Thai
12 Mill Street, Balbriggan, Balbriggan, Dublin

I absolutely LOVED this place. The staff were attentive and professional, but friendly too. We asked them to describe some of the different dishes, which they did perfectly. The food was incredible, and it was very reasonably priced. Definitely going back!

Harveys Bar and Grill Restaurant (Above Harvest Bar & Lounge)
Main Street, Balbriggan, Balbriggan, Dublin

I had high hopes for this place, but it was pretty standard. The menu wasn't very big. The music was too loud (we were there at approxinately 4pm). The food was nice, portions were HUGE. There was no real flare to the cooking and I felt that I could have made similar food at home. I had the chicken wings to start, which were too tabasco-ey, the fajitas for main were well presented and the chocolate cake dessert was nothing special. It's not a posh dining experience, just somewhere to fill your belly!

The Abbey Tavern, Howth,
Abbey Street, Howth, Dublin

This is not the first time I've visited the Abbey Tavern restaurant, but it was the first time I've been disappointed with the food. I ate down in the pub part, and the food was average. The lasagne was very meaty and heavy, with little sauce. The service was okay though.

Casa Pasta (Howth)
12 Harbour Road, Howth, Dublin

I've been here many times, and am never disappointed. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of things. The staff are attentive but not overly so. I love how most diners seem super creative after a bottle of wine and make use of the crayons and paper on the tables. My only negative thing about Casa Pasta is the small, unstable tables and chairs that are well in need of replacement. They are all crowded together too so when you get up you've to move/ bump into people!

The House
4 Main Street, West Dublin, Howth, Dublin

I have eaten here on a few occasions, and particularly love the brunch. The food is so tasty, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the produce is fresh. The atmosphere is always so welcoming and even when busy, the staff seem to cope well. I love this place!!

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Being Valentine's night, it was so busy. We were waiting twenty mins for a table that was booked earlier. Tables were all packed together so no real privacy. Starters of goats cheese salad and salmon parcels were okay. His main of steak was so underdone, my veg pie was burnt on the outside, pretty soggy and raw on the inside. It was also so bland. We were given free cocktails because of this- which was a nice touch! The staff were helpful and attentive, despite being rushed off their feet, but the food would not have us returning in a hurry!

Little Caesars Palace Restaurant
1-3 Balfe Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for lunch and it was gorgeous. It was fairly quiet, which was nice- it's usually so busy at night! Large portions, not too expensive, both myself and my partner's starters and mains were bursting with flavour and so fresh. Very impressed!!

The Upper Deck duplicate
Harbour Road, Above the Waterside Pub, Howth, Dublin

The atmosphere in El Paso is always really welcoming, I love the Mexican inspired music and decore. The food never fails to satisfy, and despite the high turn over in staff, they are generally always attentive and friendly. The fajitas are definitly the best in Dublin!

Krugers
20 Main Street, Howth, Dublin

I love this place!! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The food is so tasty, the portions are really good and it is great value for money- I would strongly recommend the pate or buffalo wings to start. Both are SO yummy!!

Chameleon Restaurant
1 Lower Fownes Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I was disappointed to find that myself and my partner were sat at a small table as the cushioned seated areas were reserved for larger parties. The floor was packed with tables and the waiter kept bumping into our table and chairs because the walkways were so tight. The toilets were equally tiny. We were seated so close to a party of 8 on the cushioned ares that we could hear everything they were saying, as they could us, and due to the seated area being raised, their bare feet were level with our table. Ew!!! The food was a mix of bland or incredibly flavourful- too much so. Overall- very disappointing experience.

The Dining Room
35 Dawson Street, City Centre South, Dublin

This restaurant looks fabulous and the staff were attentive. The food was adequate. The starters were a decent size and tasty, but both myself and my partner found our main meals quite bland. My duck came on a bed of lentils, but the waitress informed me that the portion was quite small so advised a side order- which on recieving the main, I appreciated! We asked for a certain wine, but halfway through the bottle, realised that we had been given a different one. Also, the restaurant was freezing cold. It's a large size, so we hoped it would heat up on the arrival of more guests- this did not happen! The restaurant was full as it was New Years Eve but most guests (including ourselves) had there coats on for the entire meal. Very disappointing!!!

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge
Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Myself and my partner ate here last month. The starters of Fired prawns and Goats cheese bruschetta were really tasty. Small portions but adequate. We were both quite disappointed with our mains- he had veal, which was hidden amongst a lot of breadcrumbs and not very flavourful. I asked for a well done fillet mignon, but it was undercooked and didn't appear to be good meat. The desserts of chocolate fondants were very rich, although the fondant "burst" of chocolate in the middle did not appear for either of us. They also had a dribble of cream, which made them more rich! the wine list was substantial and the service was very good, although it was quite quiet as we ate at the 7pm service.
