I have been here a few times, and each time the food was great. There is a wide variety of choice on the menus and its reasonably priced. Linda the host is very friendly and always has time to check if you are ok and enjoying your meal. A visit to Limerick should never go without a visit to Freddies. The atmosphere is very laid back and its quite easy to enjoy yourself and the food here.

Vikings Steakhouse
225 Clontarf Road, Dublin 3, Clontarf, Dublin

we booked a table of 7 and had a toddler with us, when we got to the restaurant it wasn't busy, so we thought we wouldn't be waiting long for our food, but how wrong we were. 3 of us ordered steak on a stone, so, you have to cook that at your table, but even with that, we were waiting for nearly an hour. turns out that the hotel bar was very busy and that may be what delayed our dinner. now the steak was lovely, but not worth waiting an hour for it. Also, they didn't have anything specific for the toddler meat wise, so I had to get veg only. I might be back, but I wouldn't be recommending this place. Its in a lovely location by the sea, but I would rather go somewhere that will serve me a bit quicker I have rated this slightly higher for the service and value, but that was because we had vouchers.

Murphy Blacks Restaurant
The Square, Kilkee, Clare

Oh the food was divine, and nothing was a problem. We booked a table in the first sitting, and let the staff know that the child with us was Coeliac, and of course, no problem. they went through the menu with us and checked with the chef re the dietary reqs and hey presto , our order was taken. the starters were great, and then the mains, oh, the fish was divine of course! the waitress was so friendly and made sure we were all happy, and when taking our dessert orders checked again for dietary requirements, and there was no problem at all. Would def recommend here again, they didn't even ask us to leave our table after the first sitting, we couldn't believe the time flew and it was time to go. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Kilkee, we will be back!

Brasserie Sixty6
66/67 Great South Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

OMG, we had a lovely time. When I arrived I asked for our table, and I was told I had actually booked for lunchtime and not 6pm! But this wasn't a problem, within 2 minutes there was a table set for 7 of us, and it wasn't in a horrible spot. The food was divine and the service was brilliant. most of us ordered of the early bird which was very reasonable. Oh come here, it was lovely, and the staff so pleasant

Lord Kenmare's Restaurant
18 College Street, Killarney, Killarney, Kerry

When we arrived, we were brought to our table, and the service was great, the waitress was really friendly, and told us the specials that evening, I had the crab starter and it was delicious, and then I ordered the Pork belly, and it was the best tasting meal I have had in a long time. The location is great as its smack bang middle of town, with parking across the road in the Glebe, I will definitely be back.

The Dropping Well
Classon's Bridge, Milltown, Milltown, Dublin

We came here for a wedding celebration, and it was great. The function room upstairs was nicely decorated and the staff were so nice. Our food came out and each course was delicious, and the portions sizes were great. Would definitely recommend this place for either pub grub or an occasion, we will be back, the food was so nice!

Harrys Kitchen Restaurant
22, Dawson Street, Dublin

the place was very busy, but that didn't stop the service being top notch! the food was great, although the portions were a bit on the small side, I had the pate to start, and while the pate portion was huge, they only brought out one piece of toast, I had to ask for another! and mains all looked like half portions on the plates! We had a lovely meal, but the portion sizes could have been bigger, I will come back though!

Four Liars Bistro
The Butter Exchange, Shandon, Cork City, Cork

We came here on a voucher deal. the service was fantastic, but our meal was just ok, I had the tortilla, and my mother had the chicken. Mine was something you would really have for lunch, but my mothers meal looked lovely, and the veg we got was the nicest , freshest we had ever had, we were told it was locally sourced, it was gorgeous. I would try this again to give it another shot, as this visit was only ok.

Grain & Grill @ Maldron Hotel Cork
John Redmond St, Cork City, Cork

OMG, this was divine! the weekend we were there it was full of kids for some event, but, we were easily accommodated with a table, and, the food was gorgeous. I had the fish as a main and my mother had pork. the portion sizes were brilliant, and the service was amazing, we had the same waitress for most of the weekend and she looked after us so well. My mother is a very fussy lady, but she didn't have one complaint about her dinner, don't let the location of the hotel put you off, its well worth the visit.

Matt The Thresher Seafood Bar and Grill
31/31 Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

"We popped in here after a day of shopping, and were greeted by a very friendly waitress. We had read the menu and decided before the waitress arrived, but before she would take our order she gave us the specials, just to make sure we had all the information for our orders! Have to say the fish burger I had was devine, and my mothers fish and chips were gorgeous. I would def recommend this place to anyone. We got talking to an American tourist while we were there and he said the same, he comes to ireland a few times a year and comes to this place every time he is in Dublin. If you like fish you will love this place, but it also has a bit of everything else, steak, burgers etc, I cant wait for our next visit"

"OMG, I go here all the time, and my family and friends come here too I was only here last week, and it was great, The Rib eye is the best, and the desserts, they look great and taste divine! Our waiter was so good, when one of our party left some of her steak, he checked to make sure everything was ok, and when we said we would take it home, he made sure it was well wrapped! The front of house staff are fantastic, This place NEVER disappoints,"

The Brasserie @ The Europe Hotel & Resort
The Europe Hotel & Resort, Fossa, Killarney, Killarney, Kerry

"I have been here many times, and its the same each time, Divine! We got there and were told we could get a table with no view of the lake straight away, or if we preferred a lake view, it would be a while, and we would have a drink in the bar while we wait. We waited, and about 20 mins later there was a table free, so off we went. They have a daily special, and they have a good selection of meat / poultry / fish. I had the fish and chips was gorgeous, two huge pieces of fish with chips, the other half had the fillet of steak, for the size of it the price was a bit rich, but he loved it. Then we shared a dessert, they have a selection of Ice creams and sorbets and it was deelish!!!!! This place never fails me if in Killarney its definitely worth the visit. The downside (and its not really) is that you cant book in advance, you just go and hope to get a table, but I have never been refused!"

Flesk Restaurant
Main Street, Killarney, Kerry

I come here as a treat with my friends each time they visit Kerry, and it NEVER disappoints. The menu has something for everybody, fish , steak, duck, you name it has it, my husband is a Very Fussy Eater, but can always find something on the menu here. I would recommend the 5 star surf and turf. The price is extremely reasonable for what you get, and the lobster is absolutely fabulous, I would recommend not having a starter cos this is quite filling. the location is great, right in the middle of town, now its not the fanciest of restaurant, I always compare it to eating in your granny's, but I love it, cant fault it at all. the service is also great, the girls are always polite, and nothing is a problem to them. If you come to Killarney, you have to come here!!!!!
