This little place is a hidden gem! The food is always tasty and of great value. We often go here for breakfast or brunch and we have never had any complaints. Long may it continue. I usually go for the cajun chicken wrap and you can't go wrong!!!

Had lunch here on Saturday and found it to be quite nice. The waiter that served us was nice enough but I didn't feel any real atmosphere around the place - in fact, a little cold! However, I ordered the pizza and athough it was delicious my cola was flat! My boyfriend had the arribiata and it was quite bland.

EastSide Tavern
104-105 Leeson Street Lower, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here recently for a bite to eat before going on to somewhere close by. When we asked if we could have some food, they made other people move from a table to sit us which felt a little awkward. (We found out afterwards that you can eat upstairs – they didn’t tell us about that?). The staff were not that friendly and when the staff member brought the bill, he stood over us to wait until we had put the money on the table which felt very rude! They also never asked if we had finished with our food before taking it from the table and didn’t ask if we would like dessert / tea or coffee … all very unwelcoming. The only saving grace from this was the food – it was good but there are far better places around town where you will receive a much friendlier service.

The Oar House Fish Restaurant
8 West Pier, North Co. Dublin, Howth, Dublin

Enjoyed a delicious lunch out here on a sunny afternoon out in Howth. Everything we ordered for the table was superb - absolutely no complaints. The Cajun Calamari was fab - even though I'm not a big fan. The service was also very friendly and the place is nice and cosy. Would definitely recommend this place!!

Alexis Bar And Grill
17 / 18 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Went here on Sat night with a few friends for a nice meal - we were not disappointed because the food was really good with prices that reflected this! Although we enjoyed the food, the service was terribly slow. The atmosphere was bustling so I would not reccommend it for a couple but for groups it is great.

TriBeCa
65 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

Met some friends here on a Friday night and thought the atmosphere was buzzing. We had the chicken wings to start which lived up to their tasty reputation. However, for the main, I opted for the Mexican chicken burger which left me a bit disappointed and was a bit over-priced in comparison to the standard burger.

The Larder Restaurant
8 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Ate in here one Sunday and availed of the early bird - I found that the atmosphere was nice and relaxed, the staff were friendly and overall was very reasonable.

KC Peaches Pearse Street
Unit 10A Trinity Enterprise Centre, Pearse Street, Dublin 2 , Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Had breakfast here one Saturday morning and I don't think I'll be rushing back. I ordered a blueberrie pancake which comes with a side of fruit and maple syrup. When they brought this out to me it was one pancake on a plate and the waiter then informed me they had no maple syrup!!! I had to ask for my side of fruit which was returned with a confused look. When we paid they didn't charge us full price for it but if they don't have something in the kitchen they should tell you when ordering!!!

Jaipur Restaurant (Dalkey)
21 Castle Street, South Co. Dublin, Dalkey, Dublin

Had the Early Bird menu in here during the week and found it to be really nice. The only thing that I wasn't impressed by was the lamb in my Rogan Josh - it was vey tough which I'm not keen on. Apart from that the service, decor and the rest of the meal was lovely.

Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Visited here recently and had the lunch special which was great value. My friend ordered a pizza and I have to say it was one of the nicest I've had in a Dublin! I had the lasagne which was also delicious and came with a fab salad!!!

Rasam
18-19 Glasthule Road, South Co. Dublin, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Went here midweek for the Early Bird and thought it was very good value! The staff are all friendly and attentive - always wanted to help where they can. Would definitely recommend it! Food also very tasty!

Manifesto
208 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, Rathmines, Dublin

Went here on Saturday night for a lazy night out to chill and have some good food - we were not disappointed! My boyfriend and I shared the Antipasto to start which was lovely. This was followed with the pasta special consisting of Gnocchi with Pancetta, Porcini mushrooms, Parmasan and all the usual herbs and seasonings - it was delicious. I would recommend this little place (blink and you could miss it) to anyone. The decor is modern with stone brick walls where candles hide in little pockets dotted all over. The staff are very friendly and I would definitely go back.

Luigi Malones Restaurant
5/6 Cecilia Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Went here for a friends birthday just after christmas last year. I think it is just an average place serving average food. We had a special christmas menu with many choices which was good but I felt it was a bit over priced for what we got. I ordered the spring rolls to start and some sort of spicy bean casserole. The latter came with some garlic bread but when this never appeard with the meal, I asked the waitress and she almost didn't believe it was supposed to accompany the meal - I had to wait a while for it!!! All in all an ok night but wouldn't rush back here.

Cornucopia
19/20 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Popped in here recently whilst in town for a quick and healthy bite to eat. I felt it was a bit confusing as this was my first time here. I think they could have little tags indicating what the food is in each dish - the menu for this was above the til at the back of the place. Apart from this I think the salads are lovely and the other dishes looked delish! All in all a nice healthy option.

Dalis
63/65 Main Street, Blackrock, Blackrock, Dublin

Visit this wee place every year for our Christmas lunch and I have never had a complaint! The food is delicious and the staff service is excellent. To start I had the indian style pea samosa, onion bhaji and cauliflour pakora; followed by the salmon on a bed of mash served with side veg of tasty red cabbage and carrot mash - all very good! There were absolutely no complaints from our table of 11!

Port House Pintxo
12 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

Was in hear yesterday with a friend for a quick bite after shopping. I found the staff service to be ok (I have been once before and found it great). However we both had the Patatas Bravas which were lovely. My friend had the Paella and I had the Caldereta - both were very tasty! All in all a nice wee place for a bite to eat in temple bar. The toilets are also fun and the overall decor is lovely!

La Peniche @ RIASC
Barge Riasc, Mespil Road Jetty, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here recently on a work/client night out. I thought it was a fab night. The food is good and the staff are really friendly and want you to have a good time!!! As you are moving along the canal they make it a bit more interesting by explaining how the barge actually works - all in all a great night!

Ciao Bella Roma
24/25 Parliament Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

Well where do I start? You know what its like when you're in town going to a show, cinema or whatever and you are just looking for a tasty wee bite to set you up for the night. We arrived at Ciao Bella Roma and were seated straight away and the order was taken - good start! As I love Pizza this was the obvious choice for me - I went for number 74 but when it came to the table I was so disappointed. The actual size of the pizza was huge itself but when I went to eat it I found that the tomato based sauce seemed to be overly seasoned with salt, salt and more salt!!! - haven’t they heard of herbs??? Furthermore it seemed to be really soggy too. The waitress attending us came over half way through our meal, as they do, but I didn’t have the heart to say it was awful - I hate sending stuff back to a kitchen!!!! When it was time to clear our table the waitress asked what was wrong and I just said, politely, that is was a bit salty and soggy. She trotted off back to the kitchen which was in my full view and made some remark to the chef that it was too salty - rather loudly that we heard it sitting by the window - I wasn’t impressed! In contrast, my boyfriend ordered the seafood with pasta which he thought was delicious! It just goes to show that one bad meal can totally put you off a place and therefore we won’t be venturing back here - how can an Italian restaurant get a pizza so wrong???? I’ve had better out a packet!!!!!

The Blackboard Bistro
The Basement, 4 Clare Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited here last week for a evening meal. The service was very friendly and the food was good. I had ordered a chicken dish and the chef came out to our table and asked if I would like to try some rabbit he had prepared instead - I thought this was quite a nice touch. It is recently under new management and I hope it does well - I would go back.

Havana Tapas Bar
Georges Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

I think its a shame there are so many bad reviews for this wee place. I recently went with a few friends for a quick bite to eat whilst out having a few drinks and a good time - its is perfect for this! The food is tasty and the portions aren't that small - it is tapas!!! We found the service to be fine and I don't have any complaints. We were not rushed of our seats or waiting around after ordering for ages. I would definitely go back and also recommend it to anyone!

Sheehans Cafe Bar
20-22 le Road, Blackrock, Blackrock, Dublin

Been here a number of times for a quick lunch. The service is usually satisfactory and the food is good enough for what you would expect from a pub. The menu has a good selection but they have taken the bagel option off which is a bit of a disappointment. Overall it is a good place for a spot of lunch and the decor is very modern with a spacious beer garden.

Village Bistro at Tonic Bar, Restaurant and Club
5 Temple Road, Blackrock Village, Blackrock, Dublin

I have been here on several occasions as I work nearby and it is handy. However, I cannot possibly give it a raving review. The service is ok and the food is the same. They have nice artwork on the wall and the decor is generally stylish!

Blue Orchid Blackrock
Newpark Centre, Newtown Park Avenue, South Co. Dublin, Blackrock, Dublin

This is a lovely little place and although I am not a huge of Thai food, I did enjoy my meal here. I found the staff to be very friendly and polite whilst not hanging around you all the time. The only downfall for the Blue Orchard is that it looks out on to a few shops and a car park which doesn't make for nice viewing, however, the inside decor is nice and makes up for it.

Farm Restaurant (Dawson Street)
3 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, Dawson Street, Dublin

Had brunch at The Farm today with a friend. It took some time from our initial order to getting the food. My friend's coffee came to early and it was finished before we ate - we were not offered a refill! We have dined here before and find that it is better value for money to eat in the evening the Mexican pizza is lovely. Overall the staff were friendly and the menus seem to have something for everyone. I would recommend it.
