The atmosphere is quite dead here as it is very quiet. But if you are looking for a quiet romantic meal look no further! The staff are very friendly but leave you to it once the food arrives. They now have a deal from Monday to Thursday, which is all starters 5 euro and all mains 10 euro, with a couple of exceptions, which make the food here even better value for money! Friday to Sunday the starters are still 5 euro but mains are 12.50 euro, which is still very good. Service is extremely fast and the food is top notch! They have also become a bring your own drink restaurant which allows you to bring whatever drink you want, but they provide glasses and ice buckets where necessary. I recommend this place to everyone for any occasion!

Mimosa Wine and Tapas Bar
College Street, Carlow town, Carlow

The food is absolutely amazing. The pulled pork is by far the best closely followed by the sweet potato. I've never been disappointed by any dish so far. The staff are so friendly and great fun. They do end to get flustered when it's very busy, we had some issues receiving the correct bottle of wine, but apart from that there are no faults. The restaurant itself is stunning, and so romantic. I could stay there all night with wine in hand. By far the nicest restaurant I've eaten in.

Milano (Ranelagh)
Ground Floor & First Floor, 62 Ranelagh Village, Dublin 6, Ranelagh, Dublin

We went as a couple to eat from their mid week deal of two courses for 13.95. It's a great value deal. The food was fantastic, we shared a starter and a dessert. The portions were more than big enough and so tasty! it would be expensive enough to eat without the deal and the drinks are also a little pricey but not the most expensive either! The service was a bit slow but they were absolutely jammed so that can be forgiven/expected. We were a little unlucky with the atmosphere as there was a party with lots of kids when we went, but I'd say the atmosphere would be very relaxing/romantic on a normal night. It's perfect for a nice medium priced meal. :)

Nyonya Malaysian Restaurant
76 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Myself and my boyfriend booked in for lunch around 2pm. Because it was the quiet part of the day no one else was there so it was lovely and peaceful. I had a voucher for a 2 course lunch for two. The menu was quite extensive so we chose our starters and mains. The waiter was lovely, he didn't constantly come to our table and gave us space. Although he was very quiet it was hard to hear what he said most of the time! :) The starters, chicken cheese spring rolls and prawn cocktail, were rather small, but very tasty, we were worried that the meal would not fill us. Then the main courses came... we couldn't believe how big the portions were! Our panic subsided and we didn't even finish it all. They were fantastic dishes! I would love to visit here in the evening when it would hopefully be a bit busier and have a better atmosphere, but other than that I cannot fault this place! :)

The Playwright
60 High Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Fantastic atmosphere here. Such a cosy little place inside or you can sit by the open windows and watch people walking down the back streets. The food was lovely. Their wedges were homemade as well as the bun on my burger. Great value too as it is not as expensive as most other places along the street!

The Estoria
Main Street, Bagenalstown, Carlow town, Carlow

I've eaten here a couple of times as it is local to me. They have a great value deal running at the moment of a 3 course meal for around 15 euro. The choice is very generous and the food has been knockout the twice I have eaten from it. I have had the steak, cooked to perfection and at no extra cost. The service, although a bit slow when busy, is very friendly. Apart from this deal the food is at a typical restaurant mains ranging from 10-16 euro. If in the Bagenalstown area this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend it!

I have been eating here since I was 2. My parents have eaten here since it opened. Indian food is my personal favourite and have eaten in alot of Indian restaurants over the years, in many different countries, and not one has met the standard of this restaurant. The food is ALWAYS top notch, I have never had a bad meal here. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is quick and excellent. They are great if there is a problem with anything in your order, give generous portions and now allow a 'bring your own wine' service also. I would completely recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a good indian or for someone to try indian food for the first time. You won't go home hungry!
