Went there with a gang of 7 before U2 concert on Sat. Food was v good quality. Had Chicken Satay for starters and sizzling Chicken for Mains. Only small negative was that the plate wasn't sizzling as it arrived on the table. Had a few Tiger beers and Ice Cream for desert. We had visited Chilli Banana a few years before but really like the new layout. We got nice table downstairs by window which was lucky as place was full. One to go back to!

Brought my wife there for her birthday in September. Heard a lot about this restaurant in advance - all good! Have to say it didn't let us down. Everything from the friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, great food and wines. The smoked salmon starter was so fresh and I would highly recommend the Haddock and Chips. My wife had the Scallops for starters and Brill for mains. We both had desert - a member of staff brought our a desert with a candle and sang Happy Birthday. The only one small drawback is the closeness of tables to each other - but that would'nt put me off again. Will definitely be back!

Fishy Fishy Restaurant
Crowleys Quay, Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

My wife and I dined at Fishy Fishy last week during our week long holiday in Kinsale. We had heard so much about it, through word of mouth, they must have a great PR Manager! Anyway we weren't disappointed. I had the smoked salmon for starters along with deep fried haddock for mains. My wife had fish cakes and Trout for mains. Food was fresh, very nicely done and presented well. Overall very good choice with atmosphere nice outside. The downside was the quality of the service. The waiting staff lack a bit of finesse with regards service. Don't get me wrong they were probably rushed off their feet and I wasn't expecting silver service but their attention to service didn't really match the restaurants quality. Also the wine was already opened before it was brought to the table - a pet hate of mine! Having said that I would recommend Fishy Fishy and I will return! PS. watch out for the cats!
