We went here for a special occasion after reading other reviews, upon entry was a little taken aback with the decor, all different chairs and a large bar so didn't appear too like a restaurant. However the food and service did not dissapoint and I found myself falling in love with this place. The waitress was friendly, attentive and smiled during service. The food was lovely with very large portions couldn't finish anything! The chocolate brownie is amazing!! I will definitely be back!

Expensive! We went for the early bird menu which is advertised at € 25 however there is a 10% service charge on this. The food was lovely and the service fine. However the house wine at € 37.50 a bottle ( the cheapest bottle available) came with sedement in the bottom which was a little off putting and it wasn't just in one bottle but in the two we ordered. Won't be in any hurry back!

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

While it was good value I will be in no hurry to return. We had the early bird which was delivered with such speed we had no time to relax and felt we were being rushed out. The fish cake was ok but to me tasted shop bought. The tomatoes on the bruchetta had been taken from the fridge and were very very cold. The spaghetti bolognese was fine but nothing exceptional. The service was fine and fast but could have been a lot friendlier.

Fleva Restaurant
84 High Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

This restaurant has a quirky decor. The starter of soup was a little watery. However the dinner was exceptional! We were there as a group and there were plenty of vegtables and potatoes supplied for everyone. Would thouroughly recommend.

La Bella Donna
Bridge Street, Donegal Town, Donegal

We had no reservation and even though it was busy we were advised we would get a table in ten minutes. The restaurant had a bar area where we were able to wait and a drink was offered to us in this location. Starters I had the deep fried mozarella and my companion had the calamari. They were okay but nothing home made about them, quite obviously came out of a packet. We had pizza's for main course which were nice and I ordered a side of garlic potatoes which were lovely and the highlight of the meal. Service was fine, we also had a wobbly table which we had to rectify ourselves!

Oscar's Bistro
Main Street, Duleek, Duleek, Meath

Upon entereing this restaurant no greeting was recieved had to enquire where to sit to be told anywhere. Took a seat and it was several minutes before our order was taken and the restaurant only had one other party of two in it, so no reason for the delay! The food was good. However had to leave my seat to get service to obtain extras. Also when paying I was standing at the counter for a couple of minutes while the same member of staff was stacking shelves oblivious to my presence.

Schooners @ McKevitts Village Hotel
Market Square, Carlingford, Carlingford, Louth

Had pub lunch in the bar of this hotel. While service was lacking and had to sit at a dirty table, the food was very good and plenty of it. Good value for money also.

Kingfisher Bistro
Darcy Mc Gee Court, Dundalk Street, Carlingford, Louth

WOW! The food here was fabulous no complaints on that account, between us we had the duck leg, pork and the chicken and loved it all, didn't even touch the portion of chips we ordered! The restaurnt itself is small and we were seated in the middle of the floor so not the best however it was Paddy's day also staff were run off their feet so service a little slow - I think they didn't expect to be so busy. The restaurant is beautiful from the outside and in the waiting area they have a slideshow of history of people in Carlingford which was interesting and passed the time while waiting. Would like to go back!

This place is in dire need of modernisation throughout. I ordered battered cod and chips and the grease was overwhelming on both the fish and the chips, I haven't had chips this greasy in some time. However on the plus side the staff are friendly.

Foleys Bar - Queen Maebhs Restaurant
1 Merrion Row, City Centre South, Dublin

Went here for lunchtime food. Huge menu to choose from, with main courses starting at 12 €. The food was excellent I had an omlette which I would highly recommend. However one of my companions did not recieve their food until after I had finished eating. Also another companion was ordering ice cream which was suppose to have six flavours to choose from ended up (with a lot of confusion) that there was only three available and these were brought to her without asking first if they were okay. Some language barriers with staff who didn't understand some of our requests.
