Best food I've had in ages! I went with a family group of 10 and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The quality of all dishes was exceptional. I shared the chicken and prawn cakes to start-delicious! I had the chicken with cashew nuts and boiled rice for main course and was very impressed. It was full of flavour and excellent quality. There was a mixture of chicken, beef, duck, prawn & fish dishes in the group and it seemed like one was enjoyed as much as the next. Quite pricey but portions huge and well worth it. I'll definitely be going back.

Hartley's Restaurant

Sunday lunch was fantastic. It is a little pricey but food and service was superb and I will definitely be back!

Platform Pizza Bar
7 Strand Road, Bray, Co.Wicklow, Bray, Wicklow

Loved it! Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Delicious pizza! Due to the layout it is noisey so worth being aware of that but I would highly recommend everyone visits!

The Port House
64a South William Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The food was fantastic. There is so much choice. We ordered 6 dishes and each was as good as the next. The wine was fab and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Highly recommended!

profile_review

Gotham South
4 Kilmacud Road Lower, Stillorgan, Dublin

Lovely setting and friendly staff. Food was lovely, especially the roasted veg platter to share - it was absolutely delicious.

Mary Murrins
Bruckless, Killybegs, Donegal

The food in Mary Murrins is delicious-especially the home made chips but it is the only reason to visit this place. The service is appaling. The owner wandered around ignoring us for 45 minutes (not an exaggeration!) before we got drinks and menus. If you have LOTS of time on your hands I would recommend Mary Murrins for the chips alone!

The Exchange Restaurant and Cocktail Bar
The Westin Dublin, At College Green, Westmoreland Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I ate here on Saturday for a Christmas dinner with friends. The food was nice, the steak main specifically was gorgeous. The staff and atmosphere were only ok. We waited a long time to order and had to ask for water numerous times throughout. They weer busy but I didn't find them to be very attentive. In saying that, it is a nice setting to have dinner with friends.

profile_review

Eden
Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin

I visited Eden last Friday for a work Christmas lunch. The food was delicious. I had smokies and the duck main - both of which were faultless. The staff were friendly and didn't rush us - they let us sit finishing our wine until just before the table was required for the next set of diners. I will definitely return.

Jaipur Restaurant (Dalkey)
21 Castle Street, South Co. Dublin, Dalkey, Dublin

I had dinner in Jaipur last night. The value menu is fantastic value - €16.75 for 2 delcious courses. The portions are generous and the food is really beautiful. The restaurant was quiet last night so there wasn't much atmosphere but the staff were very attentive.

Bailie Hotel
Main Street, Bailieborough, Cavan

Really good value delicious food. I would definitely recommend the Bailie, especially the Bookmaker sandwich!

profile_review

Toddies Restaurant
The Glen, Kinsale, Cork

I LOVE this restaurant! I have eaten here twice in the last month. The main menu is a bit pricey for me but the early bird is fantastic value. The food has always been superb. On both occasions a wide variety of dishes were ordered - steak, hake, monkfish, risotto, chicken, pigeon-and all were excellent. The staff are incredibly nice and the restaurant itself is a very ncie room. I would definitely recommend Toddies

profile_review

The Spinnaker Bar & Restaurant (Cork)
Scilly Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

Very nice restaurant. The Hake special was delicious. The staff are nice but not very attentive so we did have to call them numerous times to get their attention but the food was nice and reasonably priced so I will go back

profile_review

The Spaniard Inn
Scilly, Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

I have eaten from the bar food menu numerous times and the food has always been very good. It is a lovely place to sit outside on a sunny day. The staff are friendly and it is good value for money

Fishy Fishy Restaurant
Crowleys Quay, Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

The food in Fishy Fishy is amazing. I had a monkfish dish which I am still raving about nearly a month later!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant as somewhere to go as a treat but I find it too expensive to be a place I would visit regularly

profile_review

The White House
Pearse Street, Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

I had lunch in the bar area and it was very nice. There was a wide choice on the menu. The seafood chowder was tasty with plenty of fish in it.

profile_review

The Shack
3 Main Street, Kinsale, Cork

Lovely relaxed athmosphere and home cooked food. The staff couldn't do enough for us. I would definitely recommend The Shack.

profile_review

The Lord Kingsale
4 Main Street Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

Had a lovely lunch of soup and sandwiches. Very tasty and fairly good value. Very old fashioned pub but I kind of liked it!

profile_review

The Blue Haven Hotel and Restaurant
3/4 Pearse Street, Kinsale, Kinsale, Cork

I ate in the Blue Haven Hotel during a short break in Kinsale. The food was very average. I ordered the monkfish special which was supposed to be served on a bed of asian greens. It was actually served on a bed of limp greens with huge chunks of ginger throughout. As much as I love ginger, it is very unpleasant to bite down on a large chunk! I would have thought a chef would know this. The overall experience was ok so I wouldn't rule out a return visit but I would certainly try out other places first!

profile_review

Shelby's Brasserie
73 Main Street, Bray, Wicklow

I cannot pay enough compliments to Shelby's. I visited for the first, but definitely not the last, time on Thursday. The early bird menu is fantastic value and has a huge choice. The food was delicious. I had the special which was pan fried cod and it was beautiful. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.

profile_review

Bella Cuba Restaurant
11 Ballsbridge Terrace, Ballsbridge, Dublin

The early bird menu is fantastic value. The food is absolutely beautiful and full of fresh flavours. I will definitely return. I would recommend booking in advance as the restaurant is very small and we were extremely lucky to get a table without booking!

profile_review

Wagamama - Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green Centre, South King St, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I hadn't been to Wagamama for years and it didn't dissapoint. The atmosphere is fun and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. I find it a little pricey - I think maybe they should consider meal deals or something similar but it does offer a lovely dininig experience

profile_review

Avoca Handweavers
Kilmacanogue, Bray, Bray, Wicklow

I love the food in Avoca, especially the breakfasts. The muesili with berries and yoghurt is beautiful. You can serve yourself so you can make it good value for money by filing up the bowl! The salads and cakes are also delicious. The staff are lovely and, as it is such a nice setting, I think it is good value for money.

profile_review

Frango's World Cuisine
Level 3, Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

The salad section is very good - it costs €6.95 for 2 large salad portions plus a hot dish. I chose the Goats Cheese Tartlet and it was delicious. I found this to be very good value for money. The staff are not very friendly and work at snails pace but I would definitely recommend the salads section for anyone looking for a good value, light meal.

profile_review

Boulevard Cafe
27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2 , City Centre South, Dublin

Overall, I had a very nice dining experience here. The choice and value on the early bird menu is excellent. My only complaint is that the mashed potato was very bland - the rest of my meal was lovely so this just let it down slightly. The atmosphere and staff are definite pluses.

profile_review

Kielys of Donnybrook
22 Donnybrook Road, Donnybrook, Dublin

In contrast to the other reviewers, I didn't find the choice on the menu to be very good. I found it quite limited. However, my chicken caeser salad was quite tasty. The tomato soup was not good - it tasted like a cup a soup and I would definitely expect better than that. Having said that. the atmosphere and the staff are both great.

profile_review

Grasshopper Inn
Main Street, Clonee, Meath

Very nice, tasty pub grub. Slightly on the expensive side but I enjoyed my chicken curry immensly and would go back.

profile_review

Jimmy Chungs
Eden Quay, City Centre North, Dublin

The food is varied, frish and delicious. I would definitely recommend it.

profile_review

Winters Bar
Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dundrum, Dublin

A nice place for a quick bite to eat with a glass of wine! I had french onion soup - it wasn't great as it was quite oily and the onions still had a little crunch to them but it was ok. My friends chicken tagliatelle dish was very tasty. Staff were friendly and accomodating.

profile_review

Alexis Bar And Grill
17 / 18 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I cannot reccomend this place enough. Great value and atmosphere, amazing food and lovely, friendly staff. I will definitely be going abck. The early bird is fantastic value.

profile_review

My Thai
The Beacon Hotel, Beacon Court, Dublin 18, Sandyford, Dublin

I ate here with some friends last night and nobody has a bad word to say about the restaurant or the food. The ambience and decor is lovely and very welcoming. The staff are very friendly but not over attentive. The food is absolutely delicious. I will definitely go back.

profile_review

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

The food is absolutely delicious. I had the daily special which was crispy duck over udon noodles. It was full of flavour and the portion was huge. Very good value for money. My only criticism is that if you are seated near the kitchen it can be very loud but it is definitely worth a visit!

profile_review

L'Officina by Dunne & Crescenzi (Kildare)
Kildare Chic Outlet Shopping Village, Kildare, Kildare Town, Kildare

I had lunch here yesterday - the food was nice and not overly expensive. I did enjoy it but I wouldn't rush back. They add service charge onto the bill automatically which I do not like - especially as there were only 2 of us

profile_review

Noble House
17 Dame Street, City Centre South, Dublin

I have eaten here twice and both times I chose from the extensive early bird menu. The food has always been delicious and of very high quality. The early bird is excellent value. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the waiting staff are very friendly.

profile_review

Scent Garden Restaurant (Greystones)
1 Main Street, Greystones, Wicklow

The early bird is fantastic value and the food is absolutely delicious - I would definitely recommend it.

profile_review

Strand Road, Bray, Wicklow

Nice food at a reasonable price. Great atmosphere, both inside and out. Definitely recommended.

profile_review

Bits and Pizzas
15 Patrick Street, Dun Laoghaire, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

I cashed in some menupoints and got a €30 voucher for Bits & Pizzas so I went for lunch with a friend. The food was delicious and very good value. The waitress and athmospehere were very pleasent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

profile_review

The Tower Bistro
Strand Road, Bray, Wicklow

Absolutely beautiful. Staff were very friendly and attentive and food was delicious and lovely generous portions. I used a voucher for this visit but I will definitely return again. Highly recommended

profile_review

Harrys Kitchen Restaurant
22, Dawson Street, Dublin

Nice food and lovely decor. The early bird menu was very good value. Would go back.

profile_review

Toscana City Centre
3 Cork Hill, Dame Street (opposite Dublin Castle), Dublin City Centre, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin

I was here with a group of friends on Saturday night for our Christmas night out. The food was lovely but the service was apalling. We ordered at 9.10 and at 10.50 we had to ask again where our main courses were! It was too late then to eat a plate of pasta and enjoy it and it was far too late to order desert! 2 of my friends love this restaurant and that's why we chose it. The food was lovely but I would not recommend it if there is a large group or it is a busy time of the year!

profile_review

TGI Friday (St Stephens Green )
St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

I have been here a few times and as previous reviews have commented it is a little hit and miss. I went on Saturday for a Christmas night out. The food is only ok. It is the standard tyoe of food for all American style restaurants of it's type - it does the job but is never going to be the best! The atmosphere and service were very good and as always the cocktails were great. I will go back but it will never be my first choice of restaurant when eating out.

profile_review

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK Temple Bar)
Unit 1, Temple Bar Square, Dublin 2 , Temple Bar, Dublin

YUM!! I loved it - we ordered the chicken satay, the chicken with camembert and cranberry and the falafal burgers and they were all delicious. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will definitely go back soon!

profile_review

Pizzas n Cream
Albert Walk, Bray, Wicklow

Good food, reasonably priced. Pizzas are great. The decor is a little out dated but it is somewhere good to go for a quick bite to eat and you shouldn't be disappointed!

profile_review

Siam Thai (Dundrum)
Dundrum Town Centre, South Dublin, Dundrum, Dublin

Lovely atmospere, friendly staff and the food is amazing! I had sea bass and it was beautiful. It is quite pricey but for a treat it is worth every cent!!

profile_review

Thai House
21 Railway Road, South Co. Dublin, Dalkey, Dublin

I ate here last night with my family for my birthday. It was brilliant. The early bird menu was fantastic value and there was a large range of dishes available. On the way to the table one of the group mentioned that it was my birthday and after the main course they arrived out with a banana fritter and ice cream cake-completely unexpected!! They didn't even charge us for it! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

profile_review

Horse & Hound (Dublin)
The Horse & Hound, Cabinteely, Cabinteely, Dublin

I ate here last night. The food was nice and reasonably priced. There was too much garlic (which I love) in the lasagne but overall it was all very tasty. Our waiter was lovely-very efficient and very friendly. Good value pub grub.

profile_review

O'Dwyers
118 Kilmacud Road Lower, Stillorgan, Dublin

I have eaten in O' Dwyer’s in the past and found the service to be very very slow. I had lunch here on Saturday and it was much improved. We didn't wait long at all. The food was fine-nothing amazing but my Bruschetta was very tasty. I would go back.

profile_review

Bradys of Shankill
Main Street, Shankill, Dublin

I love eating in Bradys! It's my local pub so I eat there quite regularly and it's very good. They have changed the menu recently and have lots to offer. The food portions are good and the quality is great. It's on the more expensive side for pub grub but it's worth it and a great place to have a few drinks and food after work on Fridays:)

profile_review

Gotham Cafe
8 South Anne Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

The food in Gotham Cafe is lovely. I had the Chinatown pizza and it was very tasty. My friends had the Central Park & Brooklyn Bridge pizzas and these were equally as nice. Very good value for money. Setting is lovely but the waitresses were a bit over the top-they came over to us 3 times to ask if we were ready to order and we were only sitting about 5 minutes! Other than that I really enjoyed my meal.

profile_review

Milano (Dundrum)
Dundrum Shopping Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin

Milanos is ok for a quick meal but wouldn't be somewhere I would go to really enjoy a meal out. I went last night with a few friends. The food was nice and there were lovely flavours in all our dishes. Pizza base was really lovely. The services was slow and most of the staff weren't overly friendly, however our waiter was very nice. I won't rush back but it's ok.

profile_review

Botticelli
3 Temple Bar, Temple Bar, Dublin

I ate here last nite with a group of 4. To begin with the service was fine but as soon as it got busy the service became very very slow. We had to ask for the bill twice!! Food was just ok-nothing special. I didn't think it was great value for money. It's not expensive but the food wasn't fantastic. As it was valentines day they squashed as many 2 people tables as possible into the small space and it was quite cramped. There were 2 tables very close together near the window and one poor guy at one table had to get up and move everytime someone wanted to join or leave the table beside him! I wouldn't say he was too impressed!

profile_review

Mexico to Rome
23 East Essex Street, Dublin 2, City Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin

I went to this restaurant last night with a friend. I booked the table through menupages and it worked out great. The restaurant was busy but our table was waiting when we arrived. We both ordered off the early bird menu which I found to be excellent value at €13.95 for 2 courses. Large portions and the food was delicious. We ordered both Mexican and Italian and both were excellent. The house white wine was delicious also!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant

profile_review

Carlo's Restaurant
63-64 O'Connell Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

I went with a group for an early bird dinner before we went to the Theatre. Waitress wasn't very friendly but service was fast. €14.50 for 2 courses was excellent value, especially as the food was very nice and the portions were large. Bruschetta starter was yum! I would definitely go back for the early bird.

Siam Thai (Andrews Street)
14/15 Andrews Street, City Centre South, Dublin

Best food I've had in ages! I went with a family group of 10 and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The quality of all dishes was exceptional. I shared the chicken and prawn cakes to start-delicious! I had the chicken with cashew nuts and boiled rice for main course and was very impressed. It was full of flavour and excellent quality. There was a mixture of chicken, beef, duck, prawn & fish dishes in the group and it seemed like one was enjoyed as much as the next. Quite pricey but portions huge and well worth it. I'll definitely be going back.

Benito's
46-47 Castle Street, South Co. Dublin , Dalkey, Dublin

I have been to Benitos before and really enjoyed it so I went back with a friend last nite. The food is delicious and great value for money. However when we were half way through our main course some guy with a guitar started playing and it was AWFUL! We had to shout at each other as he was so loud and to be honest I don't even think he was good! They should seriously rethink the entertainment as without it Benitos is a lovely place for dinner!

profile_review

Toast
Rathmines Road Lower, Rathmines, Dublin

I went for an early dinner with a friend last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the chicken kiev and she had lasagne. Only complaint is I asked for salad and no chips but I got both. There wasn't much salad but the chicken portion was very generous so it made up for it! We both really enjoyed it. The staff were very nice and the lighting and atmosphere were very relaxing. Very good value for money and I'll definitely be going back!
