Had a lovely dinner here recently with a friend. Both ate the same, pear, blue cheese & walnut salad to start - excellent portion size and fabulous taste, followed by Rib Eye Steak, baked potato with chives cream - both plates cleared! Atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, staff very friendly if a little rushed (although - full house on a thursday evening!) Would recommend to anyone looking for something tasty in town

Food was lovely, if not a bit pricey, but service was abysmal. Dirty plates left in front of us, long wait for drinks, ignored at times, other tables seemed to be having the same problems. Will not be returning

The Step Inn Stone-Grill Restaurant
Stepaside Village, Dublin 18 , Stepaside, Dublin

Ate here with a group of 6 people recently for a friends birthday. We were seated upstairs, which took away slightly from the atmosphere but it was nice and quiet if this is what you'd prefer. Food was lovely, all had mixtures of steaks/prawns on the stone. I wasn't too keen on the side veg, felt they might have been sitting out for a while and the chunky chips were too chunky for my taste. The BYO option is great value mid-week and the staff are very helpful with wine coolers etc. A lovely local spot, with good parking and the pub next door is nice to meet before/have a drink afterwards

Milano (Grand Canal Harbour)
Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin

Came here for a pre-theatre meal recently, extremely helpful staff (had table booked in advance so no wait time for the table). Food was the usual lovely standard, waiter was excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Perfectly timed also for us to enjoy our meal and be in the theatre on time!

Dax Cafe Bar
23 Pembroke Street Upper, City Centre South, Dublin

Visited on a Tuesday evening for a bite to eat after work, very good atmosphere with most tables full. Food was delicious - tapas to share, only drawback was waiting for food despite other tables who were seated after we had ordered receiving their food before us. Will return for sure
