I went here for an early bird with one of my friends the choice on menu is good from 4-5 startes & mains, I had the springroll and Chicken in black bean. The food is lovely however the restaurant lacks any life its very dead and a bit dated , however despite this i would return as the food & service are very good

Strand Road, Bray, Wicklow
I went to the porterhouse with my boyfriend and his daugher it was my idea as i had been before and liked it . Howvever this time we werent too pleased, I had the bacon buger and chunky chips and the burger itself was far to big and the chips were hard in the middle, my boyfriend had like a sunday roast meat and veg and he was not over keane. It isnt cheap either , not sure id return again , pity tho as liked this place for sometime and always had lunch here when out in bray, just seems the food is not as nice or good quality as it used to be.

I went here on good friday with a friend. The restaurant itself is quite comfy. I had the wings for starter and she had the prawns , the prawns were a bit bland but the wings were lovely and spicy. We both shared a spicy meat pizza and it was delicous , very fresh and tasty, Its an ideal place for good nice food and cheap and cheerfull would go back again.

Red Bar (Pillo Hotel)
Pillo Hotel, The Rath, Ashbourne, Ashbourne, Meath
I went for dinner here with my boyfriend on an overnight stay. We both had the duck spring rolls for starters which were lovely quite filling tho, i had the salmon for main which was delicious and creamy mash and roasted veg. My boyfriend had turkey & ham and it was a very big portion. We both had desert apple crumble. The food was lovely but portions are quite big. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very comfortable. We ordered off the set menu which was 20 euro per person , have to say it was excellent value.
Browns Barn Bar and Kitchen
Citywest Exit, Citywest Bridge N7, West Dublin, Saggart, Dublin
I went here last Friday at lunch time with a group from work. Some of us got lunch from the carvery and others ordered from the bar menu. I however got the salmon wrapped in place , i love fish but this wasnt great it was very small portion with quite a few bones, the veg and mash were nothing to write home about either. The girls that ordered from the bar menu seemed to have a nice lunch , chicken & bacon ceaser salads etc which looked lovely. I wasnt mad on the food here, service was quite good wouldnt be rushing back though.
17 Dame Street, City Centre South, Dublin
Went here with a pal last Thursday evening, have been before and love this place. Portions however can be very big so we normally would have 2 starters and a main between us. We shared the yuk sung which was delicious and then had an extra spicy singaopore chow mein. It was delicious , all in all a lovely evening , the restaurant itself is cosy with frank sanatra on in the back ground , will return for another visit now doubt ....
The Halfway House

Went here for our sunday dinner yesterday, this place is known for good food however the quing for hte carvery and heat in the place takes away from the goodness off the food. In general its a nice pub and i have had dinner here before, just find on a sunday here the que for the carvery can be very long, the food is nice tho , might return not sure

I had the chicken&bacon ceaser warp and chips , it came with a side salid also it was lovley , my partner had the club sambo and chips which he said was real fresh and delicous . Judging by amount of people coming in for lunch speaks for itself. Its exremly quick with serving and very reasonable for pub grub , the pub itself is lovely and cosy lots of seating areas with the big screens for the footy. Perfect spot for some nice decent pubgrub a pint and some footy on a saturday

Captain America's Cookhouse and Bar (Tallaght)
Unit A3 Tallaght Cross Dublin 24, Tallaght, Dublin
I went here one day myself and my boyfriend had the day off work. It was during the day so it was empty enough. We had the buffalo wings for 2 for starters these were delicious, then for main we had a pizza with fries between us. The food was delicious we both had a beer each it worked out around 30 euro. The waiter was very helpfull and couldnt do enough , its a nice place to go for casual dining and some good food
Unit 11/18 Belgard Square, Tallaght Town Centre, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin
I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend. I have been many times and loved it , however this trip wasnt great. we both had prawns in a chili sauce for starters which i loved, however the mains let us down , the beef was very chewy and the rice stuck together in clumps, it is good value and the portions sizes for mains are very big we would order one between 2 and get a starter each as there is too much food. over all i like this place and have had more nice trips than bad ones.

I went here with my boyfriend for my birthday. It was a lovely evening, we had four hot tapas, chicken wings , meat balls , prawns and stuffed peppers , it was all so nice. we had a bottle of wine also and as it was my b-day my partner mentioned it to the waitress, a desert came out with a candle in it along with 4-5 waiting staff singing happy birthday. It was a lovely meal , service was excellent and the restaurant itself has a real buzz , i would strongly reccommend and visit , i know ill be back :-))
Port House Pintxo
12 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, Temple Bar, Dublin
I went here last Friday with my boyfriend. Went into town for few drinks so stopped in here for some Tapas, we both enjoy Tapas food when out as not too filling . The food was excellent the meat balls and prawns on sticks mmmm, we also had two other dishes, chicken wings, potatoe cubes in a hot sauce, it was excellent value. however we did buy a litre of Sangria i wouldnt recommend this at 15.00 there was more ice and fruit that sangria. overall lovely place, very cosy lots of candles , dimly lit and very comfortable,
