I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at furama recently. I ate the chicken satay which was beautiful as was the chow mein, chicken and chashew nut which my friends ordered. I was very impressed when the waiter/chef had no problem with adapting dishes to suit personal tastes and the service was impeckable. All in al it was a very relaxing evening and I look forward to visiting again.

I ate in Belluccis last night as was very pleasently surprised. I had purchased a menupages meal which entitled us to 2 cocktails, 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts for €40, incredible value for the quality of the food. To start we both ate crostini (regular tomato and the other with garlic and grilled mushrooms). There was a great range to choose from for the main meal, I opted for the fillet steak (med-rare) and my date had the lamb. My steak was over cooked, definately medium, but it was very satisfying. I was a little jealous of my date's lamb as it was an absolute treat. When I return I will definately choose the lamb! We each had a cocktail and also ordered a bottle of red wine for €30. We shared one dessert and all in all had a very enjoyable evening. The service was excellent.

Da Vinci's
31 Deansgrange Road, Deansgrange, Dublin

Alexis is a lovely addition to Deansgrange. The pizzas are fantastic, very rustic and full of flavour. I opted for the hawiian while my date opted for the lasagne. We were both very happy with the food and the service. The restaurant itself is a little small and can be cold if there is a lot of traffic in and out. They also offer delivery which I would definately recommend for a healthy option for a night-in. All in all, very impressed with the food. Great value for money and good service. I will be returning soon!

Guinea Pig
17 Railway Road, South Co. Dublin, Dalkey, Dublin

I ate at the Guinea Pig last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ordered from the early bird menu, which has a great range, approx 8 starters and 8 main courses to choose from. Superb value for such great food. I had the deep fried garlic mushrooms which were delicious, but almost a little big as a starter. My date had the french onion soup which was also very good. As a main course I had the penne with salmon, shrimps, cream and parmesan which again was a filling choice, but very very enjoyable. My date choose the steak for main course which was cooked to perfection (€5 extra charge - well worth it!). We were entirely satisified by the first two courses that we couldn't consider dessert, but there was a great range to choose from so next time I visit I may skip the starters! Our bill came to approx €60 with 2 cokes and no wine. All in all a very enjoyable evening. As usual, the Chef and owner came out to speak with each customer and the service was excellent. We also noticed that they have a birthday deal whereby if 4 people are eating the birthday celebrant eats for free - another great deal by the guinea pig! I look forward to visiting again soon.
