Had dinner with a couple of friends in Da Panza & really enjoyed the meal, we had crab claws & bruscetta for starters & the claws were absolutely delicious! For main had the seafood pasta which again was delicious, there was nothing left on the plate! The atmosphere was quiet enough but for a Wednesday night there were still a couple of tables in. What I liked most was the food & will definately be returning!

Had a meal here on Wednesday night with 2 friends, food was very good had duck salad for starter & chicken arrabiata for main followed by a dessert of Triple Choc Glory & it certainly lived up to it's name! My two friends also had the duck salad for starter & pizza's for mains which they enjoyed & we all shared the dessert (there was plenty to share!) We also had a bottle of wine & the total came to approx €120.00 which I thought was good value, will be going back the next time I'm in Ashbourne!

Da Vincis Restaurant (Leixlip)
Main Street, Leixlip, Kildare

Went for an early-bird to Da Vincis yesterday evening with 2 friends & had great choice on the menu: starter, main-course, tea/coffee & glass house wine or soft drink for €20.00 each which was great value & the portion sizes were big! I had bruschetta to start which I thought could have had more tomatoes & more seasoning, followed by spaghetti in a tomato based sauce with veg & I asked for chicken to be added, which was good. The atmosphere was fairly quiet as there weren't many people there but I'm sure that's just a sign of the times.....All in all enjoyed the meal and we weren't rushed out as we must have been there for a hour after we had finished our meal just chatting!

Beckett's
Cooldrinagh House, Leixlip, Kildare

Ate here on Friday night with 5 friends, from the minute we went in the atmosphere was buzzing, however I have eaten here on a number of other occasions & found the menu hadn't really changed since the last time I was there, having said that the food as always was very good, had the duck spring roll to start, followed by the hake which was melt in the mouth! & the apple crumble which was good, will be back but would like to see a varied menu the next time!

Avenue Cafe & Restaurant
Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare

Had dinner here yesterday & really enjoyed it! Started with the mushrooms, followed by chicken & my partner had fish cakes followed by lamb shank & we shared a dessert - choc pot & carafe of wine. Total came to approx €80. Have to say everything was really tasty although the dessert was bit too heavy but otherwise lovely meal & will definately be back!
