Bad Ass Cafe
Crown Alley, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin
Got a citydeal voucher for here so it worked out quite reasonable. Food was nice and service pretty good. Not a whole lot on the menu but basic good food.
Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham Village, Rathfarnham, Dublin
Went there with my partner and we both had the Thaali platter, aboslutely fancastic. The waiter explained each dish to us and was really friendly. I tried a couple of dishes I would not have ordered previously and they were delicious. Very good value also.

Dublin Road, Naas, Kildare
Went to Il Fico last night for the first time. The staff were very welcoming and showed us to a lovely table. The decor is beautiful with fresh flowers and lit candles and has a super atmosphere We shared a plate of antipasto to start and then chicken in a garlic, pepper and tomato sauce with roast potatoes, followed by Tiramisu, totally delicious. Staff were attentive but not over-bearing and we stayed for another glass of wine. Think we will be going back an awful lot ?
China House (Lucan)
7 & 8 Finnstown Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin
Was at a childrens party here last Sunday, we had booked the table but when we arived they did not seem to be expecting us. It was not a problem as the restaurant was very quiet at the time and we were accommodated. Food was lovely and reasonable, it cost €90.00 for six children and I helped them with the left overs :-)
The Old Mill Bar And Restaurant
Old Bawn Road, West Dublin, Tallaght, Dublin
Very nice homely cooking, really good value. Got the lasange and was going to order extra garlic bread but the waitress said that the portions were big and she was certainly right, glad she told me.
Creamery Bar & Restaurant The
Old Bunratty Road, Bunratty, Clare
Popped in here as it was recommended by a few people we were talking to. I got the salmon which was very tasty and came with a lovely dill sauce and my partner got the fish and chips. Quite resonable and lovely atmosphere.
Bunratty Folk Park, Bunratty, Clare
Having had a long long walk around the Folk Park we decided to pop in here for a sandwich and coffee, asked if we could have an open sandwich on brown soda bread and poached salmon (which was not on the menu) and there was no problem. Its was gorgeous and a huge portion with lovely side salad and very resonable which I was surprised about as it is a tourist place. We were sitting outside and were visited by two of the most beautiful Irish Wolfhounds ahhhh.
Chat and Chew
Moorefield Road, Newbridge, Kildare
Popped in here for a little lunch while in Newbridge, lovely atmosphere. I got one of the specials of the day, Brushetta with sun dried toms, pesto, melted cheese and a side salad, it was yummy, have not problem going back.
Citywest Golf Hotel, West Dublin, Saggart, Dublin
Was brought out as a surprise last night. Unfortunately, the service was very slow, the staff just kept on walking past us, food was ok but a little expensive, wont rush back.

Bollywood Spices (Naas)
1-A Naas Town Centre, Naas, Naas, Kildare
Myself and my partner have been here on two occasions over the last three weeks, you have to try the Butter Chicken, gorgeous, its the first time I tried it and was soooo good. Really pleasent place and nice staff.
Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare
Went here for my boyfriends birthday. Had seen the restaurant on Menupages which they said they had a specials menu which looked reasonable. When we got to the restaurant we were told that the special menu was no longer available which was very disappointing. Service was very good, food unfortunately not so and was quite expensive. They really should make sure that their details are up to date on their web site.
Pattaya Thai and Chinese Restaurant
9th Lock Road, Nangor Road, West Dublin, Clondalkin, Dublin
Love this restaurant, we went there last Sunday and asked for the lunch menu at 12.90 each. First you got a lovely bowl of chicken and corn soup, then you could pick from a very extensive menu for starter and main course, we also tried their traditional dumplings which I have fallen in love with. After all that ice cream and tea and coffee. We also got a bottle of wine and stayed for hours. Staff are really friendly and foor gorgeous.
The Halfway House
Walkinstown Road, Walkinstown, Dublin
I love coming to the Half Way House, so comfortable and cozy, and the food is delicious. Only problem is that when I come here I always have to get the roast beef, its to die for. I have never tasted beef for tasty and melt in the mouth. I need to get the recipe from the chief!
