The Old Schoolhouse (Dublin)
Coolbanagher Church Road, North Co. Dublin, Swords, Dublin

Not anything like it was............Arrived for lunch one Saturday expecting a slight if contemporary variation to the previous "house" Nothing like it, this place is now just another Public House in Swords (do they need anymore Pubs in Swords???) They have managed to bury the real character of the "Old School House" Had one Drink and after reviewing the table manner decided to move on...Far on...

The Forty Four Hotel & Bar
Main Street, Swords, Dublin

Pub Grub... No More. Grand for a bite at lunchtime in Swords.... Nothing Special. Staff very attentive to the table however.

Akash Indian Restaurant
7 Georges Ave, South Co. Dublin, Blackrock, Dublin

Don't expect a "buzz" or anything like it! .........Very Quiet on the couple of occasions we have been there, service was always good (can afford to be as you are often only 1 of 2 - 3 occupied tables) By the sounds of the telephone - takeaway business is good, in fact the ringing telephone is the only Buzz about the place, no atmosphere. Don't have much experience with Indian foods, but this place is well established and our dishes were very good.

Talavera Restaurant
Radisson Blu, St Helen's Hotel, Stillorgan Road, Stillorgan, Dublin

Eating here as often as we can afford it! .........Only ever been as a couple, always great food & service (Enjoyed a tour of the Wine Cellar last year with samples & selection advice) The buffet makes for a great starter, "help yourself " to a good selection of "antipasto" (there was a greater spread / selection in the early Talavera days, however - still good in 07) Mains always satisfy greatly, as do deserts and after dinner drinks. All in all a top spot - Not Cheap however. After your meal, before you call your taxi, have a drink upstairs, if you can, stay the night!!

Chungs (Donabate)
Unit 1, Ballisk Cresent, Donabate, Donabate, Dublin

Ahh Jack's..............We love jack's (Jack Chungs) Food is Very Good, Service can be a bit too much, i.e. stopping you from pouring your own wine, tend to "hover" about the table. Always a good feed and a "drink on the house" If you can't get down to sit in (because you have a 2 year old!) collect your take-out (no deliveries) Not Cheap in general, but worth it. If you are with a group and are up for it, ask for the private Karaoke room upstairs

Flanagan’s Restaurant
61 Upper O'Connell Street, City Centre North, Dublin

Don't Bother with Flanagans, Popped in with my wife and daughter last Saturday afternoon, fancied a pizza, spotted Flanigans....Very poor, the place is in serious need of a refurb, the food was poor in general (my pizza was not the worst I have ever had however) the rest was pretty terrible, left most of it behind. We were the only Irish people upstairs, the rest were parties of American tourists, one off customers ! Guess the only reason this place trades is due to its location. We were annoyed with ourselves for selecting this place with so much option in our city. You live and learn... sorry Flanagans, never again.

Il Posto
10 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

Excellent all round...Friday night, 8:30, 4 of us. We all sung the praises of our chosen dishes. Great food! Service was very good all evening, they forgot part of our order for after dinner drinks, and were full of apology when we pointed out the shortfall, the owner insisted the drinks were "on the house". All in all, a great evening. We will be back to IL Posto!
